Diverse crowd, drink specials every night, jukebox and pool tables. On weekends the owners prepare snack food for paying customers during the daytime. And happy hour starts at 10 am on Saturday and noon on Sunday.

I am not the expert on bars, nor will I pretend to be. I prefer bars that showcase live music or stand up comedy but every once and awhile I like to shoot a game of pool. The handful of times I have been here, I have had a decent time. They have several pool tables. They are a little short on good sticks… they didn’t have chalk for my hands — only the stick. There is always quite a bit of diversity in the patrons. Juke box is pretty limited, 2⁄3 of the music I looked for wasn’t on there. Drinks are strong and cheap. They sale pitchers. It’s okay… I guess.

Came in town for a while and this place has made a drastic change… for the worst. Bums are outside asking for money, pool tables look like shit, the music was turned up so loud that I could barely think while there was only maybe a handful of people in the bar. The bartender was a drunk mess and couldn’t even serve us our drinks within a 10 minute grace period. Even if he weren’t drunk, he couldn’t serve us BC they were out of more than half of the drinks we ordered in the first place. The bathrooms reeked of urine, and the whole bar smelled like shit. I asked where the little blonde manager was bc she was always there taking care of things in the past and one of the regulars said that she quit managing. What?! Why?! How and why would they ever allow her to quit? It didn’t matter if I came in once a year, that girl always remembered me and what I drank and had it sitting in front of me before I could place my order… with a huge grin on her face. I was told the daughter ran the place and she’s never there… then they laughed if it were a joke. I see nothing funny about the situation bc this used to be one of my favorite places. Now it looks like it’s being run into the ground by a staff that doesn’t give a shit and a manager that’s…well, what manager?! Can anyone tell me where the old manager is working so I can know that I’ll be hanging out in a place that is cared for and know that I’ll be able to get a drink within 2 minutes?

By far my favorite bar in Monroe. The bartenders are cool and it usually has a good diverse crowd, but sometimes can be hit or miss. They have good drink prices, sports on the TV’s, and also have the buzztime trivia setup. Definitely a good place to go!
