This place is awesome. It is a small thrift store, the photo is a little deceptive. They had a good selection of household items. The proceeds go to the humane society so why wouldn’t you want to shop here (unless you are heartless and hate animals). There is a lady who donates plants, she loves these plants and on the one I bought gave very careful watering instructions. my husband bought a CD for $ 1 and they had a really cool serving dish (sorry you can’t have it because I bought it).
You better check this place out next time your on 29 in Amherst, VA.

Thrifty Paws is great! The people are fantastic. The items are priced to move so there’s always new stuff! Very seldom leave there empty-​handed!!!

Thrifty Paws is your typical thrift shop, nothing exceptionally spectacular. It appears to be well-​organized, with easy to access inventory. There is a diverse selection of things from house ware items, clothing and books, to pet-​related items as well. Inventory changes often, so it’s best to just stop in and see what they have. Prices are a little on the high side for a thrift store, but the proceeds go to the Amherst County Humane Society. It’s a pretty small shop, but they make the best of it. Expect to pay the price that is marked — they do not bargain.
