Ok, they do know authentic Chinese food is just a car-ride to Fort Lee, NJ or NYC, right? …and we have had real Chinese food, right? So, why are they churning out this slop of heavy gravies on everything, and piling on an overdose of onions into their greasy fried rice? I ordred take-out, and arrived when the owners were eating their dinner. What was on their plate was REAL Chinese food, what they cook at home, and not the Americanized version of what they think we want. No more. Give us authentic Chinese food in Monroe and you’ll put everyone else out of business!

Don’t know what happened … Had the wonton soup and it was bland. Not only that, but the inside of the wontons were really hard. And maybe the regular cook wasn’t there, but the chicken & broccoli, which is my absolute favorite, was overcooked and under seasoned. Had to throw it out it was so bad.

The food here is really inconsistent. I’ve had good wonton soup and not-so-good soup. Tonight I had dried out horrible spare ribs and tasteless over cooked chicken and broccoli. There are so many other Chinese restaurants in town I’m going elsewhere from now on.

Ever since I moved up to Monroe about 11 years ago from Bergen County I have been searching for a good Chinese restaurant in the area. Well, I think I found it! Tin Tin II is much better than the original one(IMO) and had dishes that were very flavorful with crisp broccoli and vegetables. Granted it’s a little bit further but it’s well worth it. It looks like I may not have to drive down to NJ anymore to get good Chinese food!

This is basically a take out place. Ordered fried dumplings, beef chow fun, and beef with scallops in garlic sauce. The dumplings and chow fun were great. The scallops and beef dish was so off, I don’t even know what sauce they were trying for at all. Overall it was ok, but I will think twice before going back.

Have been going here since I was a kid and they are always friendly and the fun has always been great

Tin Tin is a solid restaurant, the reason they have been the same location for 20-years is because they do a consitently good job and the owenr Mr Lee is a likeable guy, pleasure to do business with them. Great food. m3

After becoming disillusioned with my previous favorite Chinese take-out place(in Harriman), I tried Tin Tin II. I’m glad I did, as they seem to prepare their food with care(at least in my experience). We’ve ordered from them several times over the past year and have been very satisfied with the quality of their take-out. One of my yardsticks for Chinese take-out is how they prepare cold sesame noodles — seemingly simple, but sometimes the simple things get the least amount of care. Not here. Well prepared, great flavors, and spicy(in a good way, IMO) — perfectly executed. The entrees have been equally good. Wah Mei is next! Can they beat Tin Tin II??? We shall see… Well it turns out that Wah Mei was decent but couldn’t beat TT2. And to add to TT2’s good points, I’ve now had their duck several times. How can a simple take-out place make such awesome duck??? I dunno, but they do. Quite well. Upping my vote to 5 stars.

Had a rough day so thought I would spoil myself with a Chinese food treat of sweet and sour chicken. Big mistake! Not only was there a pool of oil in the bottom of the pint box, but it the dish created both an instant migraine and gastrointestinal distress. The only reason for the two and not one star was the rice.

I love their Broccoli and Tofu. When I’m in town I always get take out with my kids. My daughter orders the Broccoli and Chicken.
