Big Lots

I think the Lots is my overall favorite store. Not quite a five, but so close. I can say, without even thinking, that so much of my houseware items, such as throw pillows, decorative mirrors and pictures, candles, towels, area rugs, and kitchen accessories, to name a few, have come from here. Their pricing is typically unbeatable, and they do offer many different things, including some interesting food items. I admit I have a mustard problem. Best condiment ever. One thing I have found is that Big Lots carries some of the most unique mustards. I have purchased Russian, Polish, German, Beer Cheese, Bratwurst, jalapeño, just to name a few. Some may be afraid to try their select grocery offerings, but I have never had a problem with out of date items or items that were bad. Nope just really unique finds at great prices. They also have some of the best ethnic food choices outside of specialty stores.
Another great thing about the Lots is the Buzz club awards. You can sign up in the store, get a card and they will email you offers such as 20% off or $ 5.00 off your purchase of $ 20.00. When I get these gems in my inbox I quickly schedule a time to make a visit. They also offer a decent selection of furniture, outdoor and automobile items, seasonal items, pet care and food, health and beauty items, and toys for the kiddies. Not too much in the clothing area but that’s what Gabriel Brothers is for. Between those two stops I pretty much got it all.

I was pleasantly surprised with the selection here– particularly for your holiday needs. They already have a Christmas section in and it isn’t even Halloween yet. A good place to buy cheap stuff. However, you obviously get what you pay for. I bought a cell phone charger that supposedly worked for an iPhone; alas, it didn’t work and I’m still in the market for one. I would just recommend not to buy any electronic equipment here (which I was even surprised that they had).

This store is really big and carries a bit of everything. Big Lots is a hit-​or-​miss. Sometimes you can find a real treasure, but usually its miss — IMHO.
They do carry a lot of seasonal items: summer tableware, lots of LED garden lights and a LOT of plastic everything.
