We visited this park for the first time yesterday looking for a Disc Golf Course, so that’s what this review is mainly based on. The park is nice and seemed to be well kept, with an easily accessible parking lot. The disc golf course was not as nicely maintained, but it still served its purpose. The course is a 9 hole course, and the difficulty level is relatively easy, so it’s a great place for beginners or to get some practice in(this was my first time playing on a real course and my husband’s 3rd or 4th time, he finished with a score of +9 and I finished with +13, so it’s a pretty easy course). The only complaint I have is that the course is not well marked. We spent more time searching for the baskets and the tee pads than we actually spent playing. we could have finished in half the time had the course been better marked and taken care of. Regardless, it was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed ourselves, and will definitely be back to play again, especially now that we know the course layout. I just really wish the city would spend some time giving it a little tlc, it would make such a huge difference!

What a beautiful park hidden away on monroeville’s back streets. I had no idea this place existed until a friend mentioned a concert being played here. Once we arrived the landscape was very green and lush with plenty of space to bike and walk, run and have fun with the puppies. They have an outdoor amphitheater which provides great sound as well as a concession booth and indoor restrooms. I didn’t go much further than this because I only came to watch the concert but I did notice what looked like a soccer field off in the distance. I will definitely have to return to this place to getter a better feel for the atmosphere, plus i need a new place to take my dogs.

This is a great community park with soccer fields, baseball fields, basketball and tennis courts, horseshoe pits and playground equipment. They have jogging and bike trails. There is a beautiful community flower garden and a gazebo that a local flower club maintains. They have a stage for plays, music and movies. There are three or four large pavilions that are available to be rented out for organziations or family gatherings. During the temperate months they have a farmer’s market here on Saturday mornings. There is food available to be purchased when soccer or baseball games are going on. The park is generally closed after dark, although they do have summer movie nights and other perfomances here.
