I recently went here and will NEVER go back! I got my makeup done and walked out looking like a clown! it was awful, I didn’t even want to pay for it. Since it took over an hour and i was running behind on time I didn’t want to make her fix it. I could have done a better job just doing it myself at home. I think they should have someone doing makeup that has experience and not someone who said they learned from youtube… real professional! I would never recommend this place to anyone and will not be going back.

It’s very hard for me to have a good experience at a salon. Sometimes I feel lucky. I’ve had 2 good experiences here and one crappy one (long time ago) It pays to talk to the manager before choosing a stylist. Yesterday they set me up with a color correction last minuet and it turned out very well. I will most likely come back again.

For almost 10 years I have been going to Philip Pelusi, Monroeville. Kate is the best, although I have witnessed some pretty great transformations from others as well.
Kate will listen to what you want, maybe steer you in another direction, maybe add to your vision and you will definitely feel like $ 1M at the end of the appointment. I always feel like I am the priority while I’m there — and for a couple of hours 5X a year that is worth every penny spent!
If you’re looking for someone to reconnect you with your hairstyle, give this salon a try!

After a botched hilite and root touch up at another salon, Philip pelusi saved the day (and my hair for my wedding!)
I was tempted to stay platinum blonde even though I hated it just so I didn’t have fried hair on top of everything else, but Alex convinced me they could make me feel better about my hair and also not fry it.
I’m not sure how, after three color processing adventures in one week they managed to fix my hair and keep it silky and soft, but they did. My hair looked great and I felt awesome.
The staff is attentive and really listens to what you want and also provides suggestions without being pushy.
The downside is the price. My cut, color and hilights is almost $ 200.

I hate having to find new hair cutters, dentists, doctors, ect… But I tried Philip Pelusi in the Monroeville Mall for the first time. My haircut was exactly what I wanted plus a little more! I will definitely go back! I had Miranda cut my hair and she was awesome!!!
