Pittsburgh Brew n’ Chew

Brew ‘n Chew is a fun event!
This is the second year I’ve attended the evening session and had a great time. The event is only in it’s second year, also, and I anticipate it will grow.
The food samplings are MUCH more plentiful than what is offered at other craft beer festivals, as well as the various hands-​on activities available. The most interesting beer I tried this year was called Safeword, by Free Will Brewing Company — 10% alcohol w/​habanero — it will knock you on your a**!
The only small drawback is the event is in Monroeville, so for city dwellers, making the haul out there can be a concern. Shuttle service is offered for a small fee from multiple city locations, or you can make a night of it and stay for a discounted price at the Doubletree next door. There are AMPLE beer samples available, and you will want to make sure you have a DD or sadly limit yourself at the event — it’s pretty easy to get carried away here with the large number of craft brews at your fingertips!
