Based on the passport services, it was the easiest and smoothest transaction I’ve ever gone through with any of my family members. It is appointment only, but available times 8a-5p are usually available. They will copy necessary docs, take your photos, and get you on your way in 15 minutes. Now it’s up to USPS to get the new passport within their 4 – 6 week turnaround.

Looking for Belly dance classes!!! Look no further Katalina is an outstanding instructor! she really takes her time to break down movements to her students. When I took my first class I was nervous but she was so patient, and I am happy to say that I am still taking classes and now with my daughter she has a great option to do a mother daughter class. later… There are no pretentious snotty attitudes in this class, it’s just pure fun and learning. She is from Greece and it shows in her teaching and the classes are so economical… I recommend taking her beginning belly dance classes for those just starting out and if you really want to kick it up a notch, take her Saturday Zumba class.

I was the photographer at a wedding that had their ceremony and reception at this facility. While I have no idea how much was paid for their services, I can say they are not very friendly. They act like they’re friendly, but have this attitude like you are bothering them or beneath them. After the rehearsal, I needed to use the restroom and they were locked. I ask the lady who was closing up(and obviously wanted to get out of their because she had friday night plans and we were«holding her back») if she had locked them. She said«yeah, sorry» with that face like«doesn’t it suck to be you». Then, not five minutes later, she opened it up for a boy and her mom. So I said fine, I’ll walk to yogurt land nearby(who is getting an awesome review) and go. I went there, came back and whattya know…“Club Girl” who works there is still inside with people closing down. Seriously?! Nice humanity! This place acts as a COMMUNITYCENTER… for the people in the community. The day of the wedding, the staff was pushy and acted like they had a chip on their shoulder and we were bothering them. I overheard the groom and bride saying the same things that I was observed, so it wasnt just me. They had that place booked till midnight and the staff there were cleaning up the hall(where everyone was still celebrating and congratulating the newly weds) by 9:30. They made everyone feel awkward like we were in their way. Honestly, this is a trend I have noticed in several places where we, the customer, get rushed and ushered out just so they can move on to their next customer. Tacky and senseless with a heavy dose of «lack of quality». DONOTRECOMMEND!

Why on earth would I ever have a reason to visit the Monrovia Community Center? H1N1 Flu Shots!!! GOGETVACCINATEDPEOPLE! Hooray for public health programs! Thanks, CDC. The volunteers, nurses, and staff MDs were super friendly and swift in administering H1N1 flu vaccines to nearby residents on this sunny weekend. Families with young children and older adults filled the building, extending lines to the outside sidewalk past the adjacent Citibank parking lot. This week’s shipment of shots was maxed at 3,100 vaccines– so go quickly to avoid them running out before 4pm. *Also note that the flu SHOT is an inactivated vaccine(killed virus), whereas the NASALSPRAY is a live, inoculated vaccine(weakened strain of virus). What does this mean? While the shot is intramuscular, and you may experience soreness at the injection site, the virus is already dead and therefore not spreadable. The nasal spray vaccine is(teeny tiny chance) possibly contagious.*
