Monrovia Floral

I like to support small business specially in my home town, but Monrovia Floral is the WORST.
i ordered a corsage and a boutonnière for my kids prom a week ago, the girl that took the order (had some really cool tattoos) was awesome!, very knowledgeable and helped me thru the process of creating and ordering these beautiful pieces that would be part of a memorable time in my kids life.
I went to pick it up the day of the Prom and unfortunately the girl who first helped me was not there, instead was this woman (owner I believe) she was rude and condescending, practically thru the flowers on the counter and walked away as I was looking at them, didn’t even have a chance to ask or even say thank you as this rude person just turned her back on me and walked away. I WILL NEVER be back at this shop again, I will go back to our regular florist in Arcadia, at least they are nice and appreciate their customers.

I wanted to support this local business but it’s after 9am and the store looks closed. Update your store hours.

I must say everytime my fiancé sends me flowers from Monrovia Floral they look beautiful. He has tried other florist in the area and they never looked nice. I am surprised at some of the low reviews from others as we are very happy with this location.

I have ordered flowers for my wife’s birthday two days in advance, just to make sure they will be delivered in the morning. It is well past noon. Called the shop, they could only tell me it is out for delivery before 5 pm. It is not shipping to NY, it is local delivery within Monrovia. Disappointing, tried to support local (although pricey) business.

I received an incredible bouquet from my husband yesterday, that he ordered from Monrovia Floral. It is probably the most beautiful flower arrangement that I have received from him in 20 years of marriage (yes, it was our anniversary). It is a mixed floral arrangement, perfectly fresh, and perfectly beautiful. I am thrilled with it, and hope that I am the recipient of many more flowers from Monrovia Floral!

I told Lorrie not to have the flowers delivered between 12pm and 1pm and they delivered them around that time. I like supporting small businesses but this business will not get my business again!

I just love Monrovia Floral! They always go out of their way to help me and are so creative! Super service and super flowers!

Today was my first time going to monrovia floral and I’m more than happy with both the service and the arrangement I got. After calling 3 other florists to order a small arrangement for a baby girl and being told that it was too late (they all closed at 5, and it was 3:30 when I called) I finally got got a yes from monrovia floral. The woman who answered was very nice and asked how much I wanted to spend and even offered a keepsake vase to put it in. I gave her my number and told her to call me when she was ready and I’d run over and pick it up. It was adorable! she used pink and white flowers and used all my favorite flowers without me even asking for them. I was so happy with it and the mother of the new baby loved it too! I’ll definitely be back in the future!

The picture that we saw of the arrangement, was misleading. It showed two urns with an arch over an angel, but the arrangement had no angel in the middle. It arrived at the funeral 10 minutes before the service. When we called ½ hour before the service to ask why it was not there, they were not very nice on the phone.

i ordered flowers today the day before mothers day at 1;42 from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and they were delivered same day, i really wasn’t thinking even know i said delivery today, i assumed would be Monday .

I bought a bouquet of roses here. I’m not sure that they lasted even a day. Easily the worst purchase of flowers I have ever made. Complete waste of money. I will never be back.

I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH MONROVIA FLORAL AGAIN! Saving $ 10 or so is NOT worth the rude, unprofessional attitude I had to deal with. Ugh! I wanted to support an independent florist, but this place has lost my business forever.
Not amused with this place. When I ordered two arrangements, their website automatically gave me free shipping — no coupon/​offer code was entered on my part. The next day I received invoices but one showed a $ 9.95 delivery fee. I called and was told that the person who does billing was on the other line and would call me right back. Fast forward to an hour later. Someone finally calls and makes it sound like I SHOULD have paid shipping. When I told her I didn’t understand their policy, she clarified that I would get free shipping, but «THE. SYS.TEM. DI. DN’T.PULL.OFF.THE.SHIP.PING.CODE.» Yes. In emphatic syllables. I was THIS CLOSE to canceling my order, but I knew for a fact that this place was half the price of anywhere else.
So the flowers were set to be delivered today. I got an email at 8AM saying that my order (not both, just one) was delivered. It made no mention of which one. So I called my family, and neither of them had been received. At 11:30, one of them actually reached my family. The other arrangement didn’t arrive until nearly 4PM, despite the delivery notification at 8:30AM.
As for the flowers, they’re just myeh. If you look at the picture I uploaded, they used completely different roses than what was shown on the website. I noticed that they are no longer taking orders for that particular bouquet. Perhaps they ran out of the correct flowers?
EDIT: I called at 3PM to check on my other order. The rude woman, who didn’t give a name, said «Nope. Can’t do that. We have four drivers and things are just coming and going as they are.» When I let them know that the delivery was for someone who was off work in an hour, and I asked to leave an alternate address, she said ‘absolutely not.” When I told her that this was very unprofessional, she just said «MMMHMMMM» and hung up.
My flowers didn’t last two days before they were wilted, browning, and petals started falling off. There were several buds in the arrangement and they won’t even bloom! They’re just wilting instead. I tried changing the water on the first day and made sure the stems were cut on a diagonal. Still nothing. What a waste. Check my photos to see a comparison between what their website promises versus what was actually delivered. I emailed them a copy of my review because their contact form is very short. No response after a week of waiting.
When googling the business, I found out that they have a Facebook page. The business was bragging about their beautiful Valentine’s arrangements so I posted photos of my bouquets on their page. Within a few hours, I received an invoice stating that they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee so they were issuing a refund. I added one star for that, though I would have liked more of an explanation or apology than «Sorry you weren’t satisfied with your arrangements.» Of course I wasn’t satisfied! They weren’t at all what I was promised!
