Came in on a Sunday after work and a girl in the front was able to help me get set up for home brew keg setup. She was very helpful. I got some things i didn’t need in my setup so i’ll be back to return some stuff. They had a brew kettle and burner set up on the parking lot and an instructor was teaching a class about home brew i think in the left side. They didn’t have a lot of equipment that you can buy but I think if you ask they have more stuff in the back. Overall I’ll recommend this place and I will certainly come back.

No one is ever at the store during business hours. I go somewhere else or order online.

Very helpful crew. Have never left here thinking I didn’t get every question answered. I have taken classes with them and always take advantage of the discount they offer on class days.

Been here a couple of times. Both Steven and Robert if I’m remembering their names correctly were incredibly helpful and friendly. Steven checked over my saison recipe and suggested some small helpful changes and gave me some tips about harvesting yeast. Saison is in the primary now and I’m feeling it’s going to turn out great. On my second visit to the shop Robert gave me some tips about all grain brewing. The shop has a nice vibe and overall just great service. This place will definitely be my go to brew supply store.

Stocked up for the brew day a few times already, and have left happy every time. The staff is always inviting, something that you don’t always find at other shops. They are always willing to offer knowledge and talk beer.

Great little spot that has awesome potential. Often staffed by Steven, the head yeast rancher at Pacific Plate, the store has an authentic vibe that is obvious from the start. In the few short weeks they have been open I’ve visited a number of times and always left feeling good about things… This speaks volumes about the store as far too often LHBS employees leave customers wondering what they did wrong. Happily this is not the case here! As with any new venture it will take a while to get the stock really dialed in, but aside from one or two little things they’ve had what I needed at a very reasonable price. They are very open to customers suggestions as far as stock goes and are planning a series of classes on everything from yeast propagation to advanced all grain brew days. Killer! Add to this actually knowledgeable and friendly staff? A Winning Recipe! Looking forward to adding the 5th star once things kick into high gear and expecting great things from this crew!

This is a nice new little shop conveniently located in what it becoming a mini beer destination in the SGV, Monrovia. With T Phillips, London, Pacific Plate, and the soon to open 38 Degrees, its only natural that a homebrew shop might spring up here. Even if I buy most of my supplies on line, it will be nice to not have to drive all the way to Long Beach or Eagle Rock when I’m in a pinch. Inventory now is limited, but there’s plenty of room to expand. They plan on offering classes in the future.
