LOVE this place! I work around the corner and come here all the time. I stick to my phở tai, egg rolls, spring rolls, and their won ton soup. The food is delish and hits the spot every time. Just know the location is small, so when its raining season it gets packed. The waitress is a doll and knows my order when I arrive :). I will be coming here as long as I am in the area. Plus, it’s right next to the movie theater in downtown monrovia.

Special Phở was ok. Server(probably the owner reeked of booze). I do not understand how this place has an A rating as we were finishing up, we saw a baby roach. I took a pic and the pic is blurry, but I know what a baby roach looks like. Egg rolls are over cooked and the filling of shrimp and pork tasted really old. Thai tea was good. Fried rice OK. I can make better fried rice. I will not be back. I will try Saigon directly across from it next. Maybe I need to stick to Arcadia and San Gabriel for really good Phở without any«issues»

If you like iceberg lettuce, you’ll love the spring rolls. If you like spring rolls, go somewhere else.

Saigon Avenue across the street from this place has more people, but after trying both places, I must say both places are equally lackluster, and neither is better than the other. If you just want phở and you don’t care if your phở is average, then either places have average phở at a great price. If you want good phở then I would venture into San Gabriel for that.

Good food, close to my work. They earn an extra star for having Sriracha bottles on every table. Good service too.

I have only had the chicken phở, but it’s the best I have ever had! Everything is fresh and it’s a reasonable price.

I recently moved into this neighborhood and I’m very pleased to have found this little gold mine of phở restaurant. The staff is friendly, food is authentic and establishment is clean n peaceful.

The first couple times that I ate here were really good. Then the phở turned terrible… I was served super oily greasy phở with very little noodles. I decided maybe it was a bad day so gave it another couple tries but the same thing happened the last three times I’ve been there. I was so upset the last time I went that I even complained to the waitress. She didn’t say ANYTHING. Not sorry, not let me get you something else, not let me give you a discount… NOTHING. The phở was literally inedible because of all the oil. It was so gross. Not only was it oily but there were like no noodles! The only thing that has been consistently ok, were the chicken dumplings. Definitely won’t be wasting my money here again. I gave it three more chances and that is more then enough times to realize it’s not just a bad day.

Phở ga & egg rolls are usually my go to meal here. My bf usually orders the egg noodle soup. We always come here on Sunday’s when Phở Vinh’s is closed. Always great for a hang over cure. The phở broth is very flavorful. Egg rolls are always hot, crispy, and delicious. I love that they are pretty consistent with the food– can’t say the same about the service though. There is a young lady that is super sweet but we don’t always see her :/ The food is good enough to keep us coming back though.

3.5 stars. I’d hate to give it less than 4 stars but it was pretty lackluster. There aren’t that many Vietnamese options in the area, and we’ve tried all the other establishments in the immediate area, so we decided to give this place a try. Walking in, I noticed the room itself is pretty small. We were a group of 10 and they had to move around some tables for us and made it work. The lady was the no-nonsense type, but she was nice enough and made sure we had what we needed. So that extra 0.5 for the service. 3 for the food though. I could only speak for the grilled pork vermicelli and it was just okay. The meat was seasoned fine and wasn’t dry, but it wasn’t good enough to order again. My friend next to me ordered the grilled chicken salad, and I think it’s mostly his fault that he ordered a salad at a viet place, but man, that was a sad salad with just lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and chicken. Those with phở I think they liked it okay, but I noticed the bowls were pretty small too. Also, I was able to eat every bit of my vermicelli and that’s something that has never happened in any other viet restaurant ever, so I think that told me something about the portion size. With maybe only 2 – 3 other viet places in the immediate area, there isn’t a ton of competition and maybe that allows these places to become complacent in their uninspired menu items.

Love love love the egg rolls and the phở ga. I came on a Saturday night and the food came to the table fast hot and fresh. This might turn out to be one of my favorite place to eat.

Second time here for phở and it’s so good! Fresh veggies and the beef broth is delicious. Wish they served beer though :( And 10% off your bill when you pay with cash! Yay!

This is the only Phở place I will eat. Very clean, friendly and quick! The egg rolls are amazing. I have never liked egg rolls until I found this place. The sauce, though stinky, is delicious! Prices are reasonable as well. I will usually have the plain phở with egg rolls since I don’t like any of the other items, but why else would one come here besides for the phở!!! I love Phở Lemon.

As a Vegetarian, I find it hard sometimes to find a restaurant that uses good quality, tasty meat substitutes. I have heard some friends rant & rave about the deliciousness of their regular menu so I decided to give them a shot. The Soy Beef & Soy Chicken Substitutes available here is divine! I ordered from here several times for Lunch & enjoyed my meal each time. I wanted to try their Vegetarian Phở one day which they made sure was made using Vegetable Broth, which I found very kind! ITWASVERYGOOD! I don’t eat meat whatsoever so all you can order from other places that do not accommodate is a Salad. Thankfully, not the case here. They are very kind to your Vegetarian or Vegan needs! The absolute only reason I rated them 4 stars was because sometimes, when I want something small to munch on & attempt to order from the A la Carte or «Sides» menu I am always pressured to order a meal instead. Sometimes I am not that hungry & only want something tasty to snack on to hold me over until I get home. If you do try Phở Lemon, make sure you arrive with a healthy appetite. The portion sizes are usually good!

Just got their spring rolls, and it is a big fail. No bean sprouts, no cilantro, no basil, no mint. In stead of green and crispy Romanian lettuce, wilted iceberg. The shrimps are pitifully few. Six bucks worth of disappointment :(Had I not driven away 10 miles, I would have asked for my money back…

This review is more based on my fiancé more than anything because she has been eating at this place for years. She really enjoys the Phở and she knows the people there as she has gone often. It is family owned and they are very nice. This time I had the sandwich which I felt was fresh. If you are in the Monrovia area and are in need of some Phở, this is the place to go.

Oh man, suffering from the ill effects of drinking the night before, I found the chicken phở here to be curative! There was a party at the Double Tree in Monrovia, and I was looking forward to going to The Phở Kitchen across the street from the hotel to find it closed to renovations. Out comes Unilocal App to the rescue, a short drive later I’m at Phở Lemon. I like that there’s free parking in a lot across the street, making parking in Downtown Monrovia less of a hassle. The chicken phở had an interesting flavor to the broth, it almost tastes like how the beef broth does… I was detecting a hint of anise or five spice. It just hit the spot, the broth was thin enough to go down easily and the carbs in the noodles filled me just enough with out making me nauseous. Bring sunglasses, if the bright day light streaming through the wide windows up front makes you want to hide. The cost of having fun when your older is higher, le sigh. But the cost of Phở is reasonable for a big bowl of delicious broth!
