Recreation Park

Clean and well maintained. The city holds lots of events here. Easter egg hunt is a lot of fun. There gardening workshops and free compost available during different times of the year.
The play area has swings and slides for different age groups. (There is sand here).
You can also have parties here. The history museum is next door. Go visit that too.

After buying our lunch at The Market Grill across the street, we walked over here to eat since all seating in «The Grill» was completely full.
What a nice park! Lots of grass and a bunch of trees too. We see a few picnic tables under some trees, looks like a great spot to relax and eat me!
It turns out we only experienced a very small fraction of this large 22 acre park. There are also barbecues, playground equipment, restrooms, a baseball field, tennis courts, a hardcourt for basketball, roller hockey and skateboarding and a sand volleyball court too.
OVERALL: A very nice, very green, relaxing park we were able to sit and enjoy our lunch in!

This place is a really nice park. On Saturday mornings sometimes my gym would come out here and play Ultimate Frisbee. I like to come out here to go for my walk around the park early in the morning before all the madness starts. Lots of parking on all four sides. There is a skate park, some basketball courts, volleyball courts, baseball fields for little league and lots of open space. Their is a kid’s playground that’s pretty clean, no graffiti.

This 22 acre park is the crown jewel in the Monrovia park system, anchored by the Boys and Girls club and the YMCA, Monrovia Historical Museum, KGEM television studios, as well as a preschool. Tennis courts, basketball, sand vollyball, gated playground, skateboard park, indoor gymnasium, covered and shaded picnic areas, baseball diamond, and a center field perfect for canine exercise or training. There are alot of mature trees, rose garden, and the location os often chosen for wedding photographs. Perfect for a picnic. Bring your own or grab a bite to eat from the well rated Market Grill right across the street.
