Such a fun place to relax with friends! We shared a Cobb Salad which was huge. Would definitely go back.

We have been here many times and it seems the food takes forever to come out. The beer selection is very good and we’ll cocktails are equally good. Great location, great vibe in the restaurant but the food is just ok!

Good for a good beer and some bar food while watching the game but I wouldn’t go here for dinner. Just not my style of food I guess. I’m not big on American food or bar food in that case. So I may be bias. The wedge salad was good and the kids hot dog was a hit with my 2 year old

The food is good, prices are fair, the staff is usually friendly and attentive. I like the variety on the menu. My favorite is the pear salad. The drinks are quite large so no multiple refills needed.

Living Social or no Living Social, this is my go to spot for casual dining of burgers and fries. Especially their sliders! The best time to go is Friday night so you can peruse the Monrovia Farmer’s Market while burning off the calories!

Recently, I moved to the area and was looking for my «Cheers» bar. And thankfully I found it here. This place is very open in seating, great amount of beer, and terrific food. The thing I love most about this place though is the friendly service and being a bar that is not affiliated with only local teams. Come on a Sunday and you will see 10+ different football jerseys represented by customers. Great spot if you are not from the area or just want to be company with rival fans.

Awesome pub with nice servers. Ordered the gauc and bacon burger, chicken skewers(boring), and jumbo shrimp. The flavors in the shrimp and burger were amazing. Would come back just for the atmosphere.

I’ve been coming to T Phillips since they opened not only is the food great the staff is excellent very friendly and always on point Tony is a great guy. I myself I’m a business owner in Arcadia and know what it takes to make your customers happy and the staff at Ts by far knows what they are doing. There has never been a time where I left disappointed my food is always great delicious and the beer is ice cold and they keep coming right before your done now that’s service in my book. For the Christmas holiday I hosted a Christmas Jam in Pasadena to rise money and toys for a foundation called Elizabeth house a shelter for homeless pregnant women. I talked to Tony about helping out and he gave a few hundred dollars in food certificates for our raffle no questions ask. So I totally recommend T Phillips for your next dinner party or just for a night out to drink. Tell them Chico sent you

Goodness gracious, I came here a few nights ago and it was a mess. Service sucked, absolutely blew. The worst part was the place was almost empty and there was no reason for it. We had 8 people for some happy hour refreshments and appetizers, which, between the partially full bar and the other two tables of two, still made us a good 30% of the headcount. I also counted 2 bartenders, 2 beer runners, a waitress, and a hostess. And yet… my beer was empty more often than it was full. Probably because the waitress almost never came by our table. Yep, most definitely the reason. She wasn’t busy, either, she just couldn’t/wouldn’t stop talking to the guys watching football at the bar. One of my beers was lost entirely, I’m pretty sure the bartender didn’t even get the order. I tried a second time and ended up leaving after 20 minutes of waiting for it. It was thirsty, miserably slow night. Also, don’t get the nachos. It looks like some cans in the back blew chunks onto a plate of chips. The result was a half plate of soggy brownish-gray tortilla mush, a bunch of nacho toppings, and a handful of crunchy chips thrown around the edges. I can’t believe we ordered the same thing I’ve seen in some of the pictures. Now that I think about it, the waitress probably left them under the heat lamp for a few touchdowns while everything soaked into the chips. I will say though, the bartenders were on top of their game. I went up to close my tab(or bill, since I was supposed to be at a table???) and they immediately saw me and immediately came over and immediately asked what they could get me. Sorry guys, I wish I had time for another but I only stay out so late on a work night. This ain’t no sports bar and it ain’t no pub. They have a rockin’ selection of beer beyond the usual craft brews you can find anywhere, plenty of selections of tap and in bottles that I’ve never tried and some I haven’t even heard of. Aside from that, the place is just a family restaurant with pub décor and people walking around pretending to be waitresses.

Pro’s: Excellent selection of beer Servers are reasonably attentive in getting drinks and meals. Food also was quite reasonable. Con’s: Servers are supposed to tell you that those who are seated on the outside patio may be smoking. Didn’t happen! No signs are displayed to that effect that I saw. That’s a real pity that they allow this as this could be a very nice place to have a beer. I question whether this conforms to Monrovia’s ordinance for smoking as it’s right on the sidewalk, and the doors into the main building are only a few feet away from both entrances. I understand from a friend that the owner lovers his cigars so is sympathetic to smokers. To escape the smoke we had to move indoors where we got a different server who screwed up with my check. When we first arrived we informed our first server there would be separate checks when our two guests arrived. When we got the check ALL of the drinks and food were on my check. For real ale aficionados there’s no cask beer sold here. If you smoke, this is a great place. If you don’t smoke sit inside.

Great local pub! Pretty good beer selection, great bartenders, and good food. Best part… no hipsters! No, really! It’s all regular people. Be sure to check out the Tuesday trivia night.

This is(now) my home bar. I’m a connoisseur of good service, and Tony’s staff is top-notch. The food is excellent(I recommend the Reuben sliders.) Be sure to ask about new beers that are not on the beer menu. Pictures to follow.

We got beer and cocktail and fried onion. Beer is just beer cocktail is not that good. I got mojodo and they put lots of water– so make it waterly… I want to get easy ice. But I don’t know how to return alcohol. Also fried onion should be return, because first time we got with power on the top of it. Second we find out fried is NOTDEEP fried !!! We should flower inside of fried ./so we give up for eating …

I absolutely love it here. The beer selection is pretty good, and the atmosphere is a nice balance between busy and intimate. The food selection is somewhat sparse, I’ll have to admit. I usually end up getting the Fish n Chips or the Baked Ziti. But by far, the most tempting item is the Lagunitas IPA, which you can get in a giant plastic mug for a really good deal. I always carry this internal monologue between choosing that or a nice glass of Delirium Tremens.

Came here last week and ordered some apps. The big nachos were huge! Four of us barely tackled half way. The wings were also good. Only reason I’m leaving 4 stars is because the service kind of sucks. Hard to get someone’s attention, and that’s what caused me to not stay the first time I came here. When someone does reach your table they’re nice, but it just takes forever to get a waitress to get to you. Very nice décor inside and the location is great

My husband and I came by T. Phillips last Sunday with my husband for lunch around 12:30 pm. We walked inside, no one was there to greet us and so we just decided to stand and wait til someone acknowledged us. Just to let you know, upon arrival, the restaurant only had 2 servers and 3 parties seated. Eventually a server came to seat us with menus in hand. This is what we ordered: Chicken and Apple Salad, $ 12 prior to tax– At first I though I was jipped with the lack of chicken, but found plenty of chunks of chicken at the bottom of the bowl. Just be sure to mix up your salad if you order this, as the candied walnuts, chicken, apple chunks and so forth are all at the bottom. Anyways, this salad is quite a very large portion that is plenty for 2 or 3 people. I really liked this salad and would want to have this again. Double Whammy with garlic fries, $ 13 prior to tax– This big sandwich(or burger?) had a good amount of meat in it(pulled pork & Italian sausage). With this entrée, you have your choice of ordering this with garlic fries, curly fries, shoestring fries, potato salad, cole slaw, pasta salad, fruit or potato chips. My husband opted for the garlic fries. The sandwich itself was okay, but I would have preferred the sauce to be sweeter, but my husband liked the barbecue sauce(it was more savory). The garlic fries were pretty good and was happy to actually taste the garlic in them. I have been to other eateries where the garlic fries did not have much garlic flavor. Portion size for this sandwich and fries was plenty to make you feel full and satisfied. Unfortunately the service did not match the food. Again with 2 servers and only a small handful of tables seated with patrons, service really should have been more attentive. These 2 servers seemed to be more interested in chatting with this small table of 2 in front of us then helping the other tables around. And because of that lack of service, I won’t be coming back here(which is too bad because I did like my food and I thought the price was acceptable). By the way, if you order a water or a fountain drink, their plastic mugs are incredibly big(probably be about a 40 oz… the woman’s restroom on this visit was clean in case you over drink). Their free WiFi(unprotected) was quick and easy to get into. If you are unable to find parking on Myrtle(sometimes it can be a challenge to find parking in Old Town during their busy times), try parking on the street behind the restaurant.
