Smokey’s BBQ

This «Smokey’s BBQ» is very much a puzzle!
Nearby residents tell me that there is no Smokey’s BBQ in town. The long time favorite of customers for a long time, Spring Creek Bar-​B Q
did move from 26 Greenville Rd, the main street through town, a few houses further away from the Center to what might well be 40 Greenville Rd, and the new location did not have a sign for some months. I flagged the mistaken listing with HQ some weeks ago, but in the meantime if you look for Smokey’s and find yourself in Spring Creek Bar-​B Q, at least you can check the Spring Creek reviews. From those and given the food that you will see and smell when you enter Spring Creek, my guess is that you will want to stay at Spring Creek Bar-​B Q, and that you will be glad you did!
It is true that there are entries in google and yahoo search for this location; it is important to notice though that those entries are only based on the apparently quite mistaken Unilocal listing.
If the Smokey’s listing belatedly gets combined with that for Spring Creek BarB-​Q or if the address gets changed to the location of some real Smokey’s somewhere, I will as soon as possible change the rating (meant to be an indication of an exceptional circumstance only) details. Also, tips («not good for kids or groups;» «Formal Attire required;» «No Takeout, No Delivery;» good for dessert only) and Price Range which I have exaggerated as a sign of a problem will as quickly as possible be changed. Finally, I do not intend this review to be Useful in the typical manner or Cool; reviews which lack humor but have «Funny» ratings kind of stand out. If it seems to the reader that this location needs to be carefully checked by HQ and that readers need to warned of a possible problem, a rating of «Funny» might help readers be prepared for some exception or other here.
IMPORTANT Summer 2015 ADDED COMMENT:
Monson’s Summerfest 2015, at which at least twice the town’s population participated in the rain this year, gave a good opportunity to further check out my suspicions concerning this now obviously mistaken listing [[so far I have checked with town Post Office employees, Firefighters, and several random residents]]. No one knows of any Smokey’s BBQ, most do not recognize a 40 Main St address [[Yahoo maps shows a 1 or two block «Main St» located well away from the Town Center; neither street signs nor resident’s usage supports this street designation, and a possible referent for the Yahoo designation is actually entirely residential in nature]].
It is a puzzle that written objections to this mistaken listing are still ignored by Unilocal HQ, but in the meantime, the mistaken «Smokey’s BBQ» business description may lead people to the truly outstanding Spring Creek Bar-​B-​Q
which would not be a bad thing at all.

Some of the best damn BBQ I’ve ever had and I’ve lived in the South for a decade. This restaurant is for real. Also, the owners and servers are great, very personable and great service. Full bar, lots of bottled beers, and root beer on draft for the kids! Get there early especially in the summer because it gets busy fast! The hours are a little odd Thursday-​Sunday. They do parties as well!
