Employees there today had not much to suggest. Seemed bored to be there and though they greeted us, for someone who is new to custom framing, they did nothing to educate us on the process. We ended up staying there for quite a while only to find out the frame we selected for a poster would round up to $ 600. It felt more like they were bored with us there than eager to help a new customer. Will go to a local frame shop instead.

It seems that mediocrity is the standard here. After ordering a 24“x36″ custom frame here at the end of May, it took a full month to finally delivery a frame that was worth the $ 400 they charged me(after the 75% off, that is!). The first frame showed up and they tried passing it off as acceptable. Shoddy, uneven corners are not acceptable to me, but apparently, they think that’s good enough for their customers. I took it back and said I paid $ 400 for this frame, I want a $ 400 frame. The corners need to be spot on. Two weeks later I was told that two more frames had arrived but they wouldn’t have met my standard. So they were waiting for a new frame to be made. I feel sorry for all the schmucks out there who spend tons of money on a frame and then end up with crap because a company is ok with passing off crap as high quality. Buyer beware! The frame I finally ended up with is great, but it took way too much time and effort… especially for the price they charge.

The first portion of this review will be for the AMAZING custom framing work they do at this Aaron Brothers. Twice, I’ve entrusted the good folks here to custom frame two very important things to me, and twice they’ve come through with amazing results. The first time, was to custom frame me and my wife’s wedding photos. They carefully planned out standard sized photographs on a mounting board(5×7, 6×4, 8×10) then traced them out so that at our wedding, people could sign all around the traced spots. Once we developed our photos, we chose which photos to be placed in which spots and they cut out the mounting board spots which had been traced and then inserted our photos with an additional, inner mounting board piece that matched the color theme of the photos(and our wedding colors). It came out beautiful and hangs on our wall to this day. We get compliments on it whenever someone visits our home for the first time. The second time, I purchased some NFL team stock certificates and had them custom framed with a picture of me and my wife at the stadium, on the playing field during a special event. Once again, the peeps at Aaron Brothers custom framed our memory and stock certificates in a beautiful frame and used mounting board to match the team colors. Yet again, whenever my sports buddies visit, I get compliments on how great this looks hanging on the wall. The second portion of the review is for everything else I like about Aaron Brothers. The service is always nice and friendly. The staff can spot someone walking in with that huge, invisible question mark hanging over their heads and know when to ask«Can I help you find something». You know what? With so many frame choices and sizes and such, you really do need help sometimes. Prices can be pricier than what you can find at Wal-Mart or even Target, but the frames are sooooo much better! REAL wood, REAL durable metals, bright, shiny glass, sturdy mounting brackets, etc. You’ll pay more, but you’ll get more. Best part: if you join their email list, you’ll always get great coupons that, many times, allow you to only pay a few cents or dollar more to get WAYBETTER frames than the other stores!

This is a really nice store! I used to come here for artist board when I took illustration classes and the men working there were so nice and helpful! I would only come here for illustration board because it’s the only place that sold it. The store overall is very nice!

The only time i ever get something from Aaron Brothers is when they have their«buy one frame, get one for a penny» sale! Great staff, just be patient when its busy!

#615 Not sure why nobody’s reviewed this place yet because it’s a great art supply store to frequent. This place has been around since I was a kid and, despite the fact that it rarely gets busy, it’s survived a couple of decades just fine! Most recently, I’ve dropped by twice to take advantage of their«60% of all canvases sale». Seriously, how could I not? I’ve already completed two paintings and I have another three to go! Hopefully I finish in time to pick up several more canvases before I head back to Denver. Some could argue that they have limited stock compared to full-range art supply stores, but given that it’s so close to my house, I’m not complaining. They also have a huge selection of picture frames and my parents have purchased a couple of large ones without any problems. It is difficult from time to time to track down an employee when you’re ready to check out, but give it a couple of minutes and someone is bound to show up. Thumbs up for me!
