Absolutely amazing!!! I can’t say enough good things about this salon. Carolina did an amazing job on my hair. Color and cut look amazing and the two extra perks! A mini facial and neck massage were to die for!

Overpaid! Paid $ 50 for a «mini» highlight which was a joke, color was horrible had to get my hair done again the next day. Tossed me around between people. Wouldn’t recommend them. They even tried to charge to fix there mistakes !

Don’t do it.
I came in for a haircut on a Monday (January 18, 2016 4:00 pm). I stopped coloring my hair and have been growing it out for the past year. I asked the stylist to keep as much of the length as possible and showed her three different photos of the haircut I wanted (long layers). I asked her to do a V-​shaped cut. It was my very first time at Aveda so I was offered two free spa services — I chose the mini facial and a makeup touch up.
The mini facial was relaxing but when she took me back to the chair, I noticed my mascara was all over my face. She didn’t take the time to finish wiping it off while she gave me my facial.
She tried asking me up selling me toner for the hair color I was attempting to grow out. I told her the color didn’t bother me — my prime concern was to to keep as much of the length as possible. I tried to stress this as best I could and mentioned it multiple times.
She seemed to have an excuse every time I asked her to keep my length. I asked her to keep as much of the length as possible — she told me «It looks like I’m cutting a lot but it will look great, I promise.» I remember asking her again to keep the length and she responded, «Well, it was mostly all dead and stringy anyways.»
She completely ignored my concerns and interjected with her own opinions and excuses. She seemed more concerned about up selling products/​services to me rather than actually listening to my concerns.
Halfway through my blow dry, she was interrupted by another stylist. The stylist asked her how much longer she would take with me because she had another client waiting. I thought this was very rude. She wanted to finish the haircut/​blow dry as soon as possible and forgot about my second free spa service.
I left with my mascara all over my eyes and my hair cut shorter than I asked. She gave me a generic layered cut. It wasn’t a terrible cut but it didn’t look anything like the three photos I showed her. It’s ordering a crème brûlée and getting an éclair. Great but not what I asked for.
My tip — don’t visit this salon. Go to a salon that will value your patronage, skip Aveda Mia.

I started going to this salon about 7 months ago. I started with black hair and now (after 7 months) am a blonde. Now, it was a process, I went from harsh black, warm copper, light copper, to now finally the shade of blonde I wanted. It’s all a process if one, you don’t want to damage your hair all in one sitting. and two, want great results.
My hair was bleached twice. First to get the black out, and second (few weeks after my first visit) because I colored my hair myself which made it dark again: eye roll:
Tehani has been awesome at only doing what needs to be done each time I visit, which is usually roots and a run through touch up of my hair. She is very professional with great interpersonal skills and I hope she doesn’t leave anytime soon!
Now when ur not a natural blonde, maintenance is a must. I go every 5 – 6 weeks to get the bronzy dull color out.
I’m very happy with my hair, the cleanliness of the salon, and Tehani’s skill set.

Gia is amazing. Got myself a hairdo update and it turned out better than I expected. Gia knows her color and technique is flawless. Very personable and welcoming. I always feel well treated and important here. You won’t be disappointed!

I had a great experience at Mia Salon and Spa. They were professional and friendly. The place is clean and smells great! I saw Armida, who automatically knew what needed to be done with my hair! Overall, it was a great experience. I highly recommend it.

Very friendly salon! My hairdresser Sameha is very patient and does an awesome job on my always evolving hair. That plus loving the large line of Aveda products keeps me coming back!

I asked for an ombré and ended up with uneven spotted dry damaged leopard hair. I came in with details about my hair history, being completely straight forward and honest. I had about 6 inches of virgin hair and explained my ends had been colored brown last December. CAROLINA colored my roots about an inch out with brown and then applied bleach on my entire head. She applied bleach on the back and left side first and then as she got to the right side her sections became bigger and bigger to where she was placing way too much hair in each foil with out enough bleach. I noticed when she checked the foils to see how the bleach is processing there were several spots she missed. Since she didn’t allow my hair to process evenly on the right side it is much darker then the left side. She told me «I’m just going to mush it all together in the bowl». Instead of applying more bleach to my hair she just «mushed» what was already on my hair, rinsed it out and toned it incorrectly. Since the right side was noticeably much darker than the left she tried to play it off by suggesting my part should be pretty much like a Donald Trump comb over, meaning bringing a lot of my left side to the right. My right side is dark orange and my left side is orange with spots everywhere!!! I ran out in a hurry after 4 hours because of obligations. When I got home and examined my hair, I was terrified and disappointed. I called and spoke with the manager who wasn’t even paying attention to my concerns, I had to explain the issue a couple of times and her responses were «so you want it darker?» «What do you want me to do?» «What is it that you are asking for?» I demanded a refund and she declined advising «we don’t do that we can offer you to get your hair darker but if you want it lighter you need to pay for it» and I told her I was very unhappy and will be writing bad reviews. Her response was «ok». Do not come here!!! I can’t believe they are okay with sending people out with terrible hair and not taking care of disappointed customers. Very sad.

I have been getting my hair done here by Armida G. and I must say my hair has never looked or felt better! I get compliments on my hair color all the time! She is simply the best because she nails the look I want every time! She’s been my stylist for 6 months now and she will stay my stylist!

I highly recommend Tihani for a hair cut. She does an amazing job, best hair cut I have ever gotten. I have curly hair and some straight in the front and she knows how to cut my hair so it all works together.

My wife was happy, therefore I was happy. And I was impressed by the professionalism and positive environment.

I love this place so much! In January I went ombré where the stylist Jia managed to lift a lot of color from my previously box dyed hair. Jia is super nice and really talented! Today I went back and was with Michael, who put in the purple. Im definitely going back for Michael! He’s such a nice guy and sounded genuinely interested in making conversation while he did my hair. I’m soooo in love with it and my hair feels so soft despite how much I’ve dyed it. I believe the ombré was about $ 100 and the purple was $ 80. The only reason I’m putting 4 stars instead of 5 is because the pricing is a bit iffy (originally I was to pay $ 80 for the first ombré but was charged a bit more, which they did warn me about since it depends how much product they use but still it would have been nice to know something a bit more concrete beforehand) Overall extremely satisfied! Definitely going back!

I’m soooo happy with my new hair color, I feel like a new person! I went in looking for a change for summer. I’ve only ever colored my hair dark so I was a little nervous but he took me to a natural blonde ombré, I’m still getting compliments weeks later. He’s the only person I trust with my hair, he’s the best!

I came in with a disaster of a haircut and the worst highlights imaginable. Tommy took the time and energy to make sure every single highlight was covered and my haircut was immaculate. I was so happy to find someone who really took care of me and made sure things were done right! I’ll be returning in a few weeks to see him again, and hopefully I’ll still be going to him when my hair grows back out! My only regret is not telling him how amazing of a job he did — I was still in minor shock because I lost 12 inches in two days due to an awful stylist in La Verne.

I had a horrible experience here last week. I work in the mall and had a 30% discount so i thought I would try Michael who the owner frank raved about for color. I had previously had a balayage done last year somewhere else and loved it. My hair was blonde and I spent alot of money on 3 sets of extensions. I came in with a picture of my hair from last year and the extensions. Instead of the balayage Michael thought I should get highlights, lowlights & base with my discount it would be $ 175. After 3 hours my hair is now dark brown with ash highlights. I stopped him as he was drying my hair to say it was wrong and he took me to the shampoo bowl and put stuff on to reverse the toner, then as he was drying it again I realized this was so far from what I wanted that I asked him to stop. I told the owners daughter I was not paying for anything but the cut and she said their policy is u pay for everything even if your DISSATISFIED &they will fix it for free. That’s not what my policy for 1 I’m not letting them do anything else after such an EPIC FAILURE… after she got her sister on the phone (which she calls the VICE PRESIDENT) they agreed to me paying half and giving 3 weeks to see how much of the color (toner) washed out and give my hair a break. I pull out the checkbook to pay and she informs me they don’t take checks! Well I forgot my card and only had $ 10 so the mall is now closed I’m shaking cuz I can’t believe the whole ordeal… bottom line DO NOT GO HERE

I had my second cut there today, and as soon as I left I was bawling my eyes out.
After a couple of years of trying to find the right stylist, I thought I had finally found a hair salon home here, even if it was 30 minutes away from where I live. My first visit went great, but my second one was just too awful to ever return. I didn’t feel attended to by my stylist, he seemed rushed, and didn’t really make me feel comfortable. He was working with other clients before I arrived, so I’m assuming he was trying to get back to them after me, which explains the hurried feeling of it all. I didn’t even receive the «spa» services that were supposed to come with my visit.
I have very short hair and wanted to go a bit shorter this time, more like somewhat pixie shorter. My hair is way more masculine now than cute, feminine pixie, and the moment I walked out I cried my eyes out. I even mentioned during the cut that I felt it was too short, to which he dismissively replied, «Well, it’s all gone now; it’ll grow back.» That certainly didn’t help me feel any better about the cut or the experience. I still paid and tipped, but I wish so badly that I didn’t have to given the horrible, tears-​inducing cut I got and the rushed and less than considerate services I received.

Treated my Mom (who is wheelchair bound) to a spa day… She got shampoo, haircut and styling done by Tehani who was so nice and patient! All of their staff were friendly and accomodating to our needs. Definitely disabled accessible and they went out of their way to help us.
We will definitely come back.
