Growing up in New Jersey, I have high standards for Italian Delis. I was in awe from the second I walked in. All of the prepared food looked fantastic, the staff was friendly and warm. I’m happy to report that was just what I’m looking for in a Jersey Italian Deli. The man behind the counter was extremely helpful, made some appreciated suggestions of things to add to our Belgiovine Special(including Broccoli Rabe, definitely recommended). Meatball Parm was out of this world, and the stuffed peppers with sausage are incredible. I also got the hot peppers stuffed with prosciutto, which were fresh and fantastic. I’m not in Jersey much these days, but when I’m back visiting my folks, I will definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

Excellent, fresh, authentic Italian food! We ordered a meatball parmigiana and Belgiovine’s special with prosciutto, sopressata, Genoa salami and fresh mozzarella topped with peppers, broccoli rab and arugula. Both a great choice We also got stuffed peppers with prosciutto and their house made sausage stuffed peppers. Those are a MUST have! Can’t wait to come back and try a few other specialty sandwiches. The service we received was excellent, the attendee went above and beyond. They also have a pretty good selection of frozen fresh pasta, fried foods, antipasto and other Italian imported treats. Overall, Belgiovine’s offers a full experience appealing to all of your senses!

I used to go there often however somehow I forgot about the place. I just stopped in and had a fantastic meatball hero. Looking in the deli case there was a very wide selection of reasonably priced to go food. I have to stop back when there is room in the freezer at home.

A group of us had went to Pinot’s Palette in town. Luckily we had a big group and ordered a bunch of sandwiches and one salad from them. They delivered it to us on time. The sandwiches were great. I had the grilled chicken with peppers and mozz. The bread was fresh and soft… The small sandwich was a very nice portion. It was probably close to 12 inches. The salad was just ok– nothing special about it and wouldnt recommend that. However the sandwiches were a hit.

THEBEST sandwich shop in North Jersey. Great people who run Belgiovines make it a pleasure to order here. However, it’s the unparalleled quality of their ingredients like their mozz and meats that make it the top deli in the metro area for me. The MKA Special is my go-to order. Their chicken cutlet is as good as it gets topped with that unbelievable mozz, lettuce, tomato, onion, prosciutto and that crazy good balsamic. Their cheesesteaks and Italian subs are fantastic as well. Real. Fresh. Quality. And worth paying an extra couple bucks than going to some fake shop like Subway, etc. Their other items at the counter — which change daily — are a must as well. The gigantic rice balls are great. The saugage stuffed peppers. The chicken marsala minis and the chicken-parm calzone is incredible too. My only complaint is that I wish they were open later. Although that might be a blessing or I’d probably be running there at 10 at night every time I thought about that deviously good MKA.

Came here for lunch today for the first time. My mouth started to water upon looking through the menu items and the goods on display. I got the firefighter sandwich– grilled chicken, roasted hot peppers, sharp provolone, broccoli rabe, arugula. It was THE perfect sandwich. Right down to the soft delicious bread. When quality ingredients are used, the food speaks for itself! Also eyed a meat pie at the counter when I was checking out. It had pepperoni, prosciutto, cappicola? In an egg/cheese mixture within a pie shell. Got it to share with the bf and it was pretty much like a freakin amazing quiche. Absolutely delicious

I go here literally 4 – 5 times a week. The prices are perfect, nothing is expensive. The employees are very nice and pretty much know me by now. Their huge selection of sandwiches have never disappointed… I usually go for the Italian Super Combo, which is LOADED with meats, not like what you get at Subway. The cheesesteak oozes with cheesy goodness and probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Their pepperoni & chicken breads are another favorite, but it’s limited when they have them because they only make them on certain days of the week. They also have these Chicken Rollatinis, which I’ve never heard of, but they are godly… Chicken wrapped with ham, cheese and then breaded into a small log. Also, around lunch time, you can get a lunch combo which they change daily. You choose a pasta style, and then add chicken mushroom marsala, meatballs or chicken parm, etc… it’s different each day of the week, and you get some bread with it too. I’m somewhat of a promoter of this place at my job(lol) because I have influenced so many coworkers into going here on their lunch break and they come back to me and say«damn, you were right… that place IS amazing». One of the employees, Gerard, is always quick with his dry/dark sense of humor and it really fits into that whole sterotypical Italian Deli experience lol. He also has some sandwiches named after him, which are some of the best! Things to know: This is a take out deli, not a place to actually sit down and eat. They have seats outside and it’s nice during the summer… but if you’re looking to go in a group to relax and hang out, be prepared to take it to go

Excellent excellent! I walked in with 18 starving teenagers(my students) after a field trip at the museum next door and we were promptly taken care of! Everyone had a sandwich within 15 minutes and we all LOVED the food. The portions are very filling and the prices are extremely fair. The bread was amazing, the fresh mozzarella on my «Italian flag» sandwich may have been the best I have ever had. The staff here is very friendly, excellent customer service!

Had a eggplant, fresh mozz, roasted pepper and a slice of proscuitto on a roll. They definitely have some of the best Italian cold cuts in the area.

4⁄5 for the bread, 5⁄5 for everything else. 10⁄5 for the hot peppers – AMAZING. So good and spicy and I’m in love, I could literally put these on everything I eat. I’ve tried a few of their sandwiches over time because I live two blocks away and everything has been solid. My only complaint is that I don’t love their bread – it’s kinda hard and it always cuts up the roof of my mouth! In my fattest dreams I would have bread from Nicolo’s Bakery and all the dressings of Belgiovine. A girl can dream… or buy the ingredients seperately. But aint nobody got time for that.

I loved this deli. I ordered a sub with fried eggplant, fresh mozzarella, long hot peppers and red peppers with balsamic and it was amazing. The long hot was ridiculously hot but I was prepared for that. We also got a small pepper stuffed with sausage that was delicious. They had so many creative sides and sandwiches and the service was great. I would definitely come back!

Let me start by saying the service is great. First Italian deli in a while where I don’t have to be macho/boisterous to get normal service. Oh, and they accept credit cards! That being said, I wasn’t too impressed by the sandwich. I got the Belgiovine special. The fresh mozzarella is definitely one of the best I’ve had. It was closer to the texture of goat cheese with its moisture and the crumbliness. I should have made it into a half sandwich sooner. There was just too much bread to filling ratio to enjoy it. Once I got towards the end, I took off the bottom half. This is when I really started to enjoy what I was eating.

Very good, fresh sandwiches. Not astounding but probably the best you will find in the area. I enjoyed my tuna fish, same day and next day for breakfast. Boyfriend(he had chicken and roasted peppers) agreed that it wasn’t the best he’s ever had but a really good sandwich nonetheless. Also ordered the soup(escarole and beans) — it was sold cold. Heated it up at home and must say, it wasn’t too good, pretty bland and the escarole was kind of overly slimy. I didn’t go in, my bf did but he said he was happy with the service and the guys working were really nice. I’d definitely come back here, great place to pick up lunch.

Large Italian sandwiches are a value price. No wonder the firemen and policemen come a knocking at this place come lunch. It’s a hungry-man’s variety of sandwiches and italian food. Had a cutlet, mozzarella, peppers and broccoli rabe sandwich here and it was tasty. Could have used a gourmet type sauce, maybe a flavored chipotle mayo or pesto sauce, but I obviously could have dealt without. Looking forward to trying everything else!
