Friendly staff, great menu for healthy and vegetarian options but there is no sign outside for the business(easy to miss it driving by), the service is slow, there is no to go menu(say what?), it is very hot in there and it smells a little musky. I may go back but I wouldn’t go out my way to get there and would be ordering ahead of time and getting food to go. It was tough to stay there waiting for my juice since it was so hot in there :(

Groov is the absolute best. I come at least 2 – 3 times a week. The juices and food are both fantastic but what really makes this place is the caring and friendly staff who make you feel like family the day you walk in. When I’m having a bad day, a good day, or I’m just hangry, I can count on Groov’s staff and the other customers to radiate good vibes, cheer me up, and of course, feed me good!

Warm and inviting. What a great and healthy place to grab a bite or a juice. Greg is a great conversationalist but his son Parker really is the brains of the operation. Stop in for live music and an open and inviting feeling. It’s my daily and coach Gregory Lawley approved.

Placed an order for delivery on Seamless, they accepted the order and it was never delivered. Tried calling the restaurant and didn’t get an answer. Had to call Seamless for a refund, and they were also unable to get in contact with the restaurant either. It looks from the other reviewers that the restaurant itself has a good energy, but their attentiveness to their delivery business looks to have room for improvement.

I ordered the Natty J(breakfast burrito with egg, cheese and avocado) which was absolutely delicious. They have a great variety of healthy and wholesome items on the menu including some interesting smoothies which I will definitely try next. My only qualm with the place was that the owner(?) denied me tap water when I asked for some stating he «doesn’t trust tap water» and kind of pushed me to buy bottled water which I declined. I found that really odd but besides that food and atmosphere was great.

This place rocks! Love the vibe when I enter the place, love the owner/cooks, love how the food is cooked in front of us. My quinoa salad was out of this world delicious. And I love how they asked me my name. Was so welcoming/inviting. Next time Im in Jersey I will certainly be back

Stopped in this morning as I was early for a job interview down the way and had not had breakfast and it was nearing 11am. I chose the Guiltless Pleasure smoothie [Peanut butter, Almond Milk, Banana, Raw Cacao, Honey, Maca-$ 8.99]. Parker, whom I later learned was the owner’s son, made it for me and it was awesome and very filling. A much better choice than a bagel or some other carb-laden disaster when you need your brain to be on its best behavior. While Parker was chipping away, I met the owner, Greg and we chatted about me for a few moments and he was super cool. Definitely much friendlier folk over in Montclair than what I’m used to here in Newark. Tasty smoothie in hand, I ventured off to my interview, which went quite well, in case you were wondering. I’m pretty sure I nailed it. Thanks Greg and Parker. I’ll be back!

Stumbled into this place randomly one warm Saturday afternoon — thirsty and craving a smoothie. It’s large and spacious with an open kitchen. There’s a little spot for musical equipment — apparently they do live shows here. The staff was really friendly and chatty. Great smoothie options however quite expensive(8 — 10 bucks). I paid 15 dollars for an acai smoothie and an E3 shot. It was really good but I can get a cheaper one in Manhattan… The food menu looked delicious and healthy with plenty of vegetarian options. Oh and they have wheatgrass and E3 shots. Would definitely recommend this spot.

This place is great! Everything is made fresh and the fruits and veggies used to make the juice were cold so the juice came out chilled. I highly recommend the all free juice, delicious and lemony– gave me a smile all day long! He atmosphere was wonderful, I found easy, free parking and they are open a lot earlier than other juice options in the area. Highly recommend!

Mind you this is our first time here. How did we find this place? Good ol’ Unilocal!Let’s talk about getting there. It was very easy to find, and the best part, there’s non– metered-street parking. Now tell me isn’t that a blessing in disguise in Montclair! The sign is big enough for one not to miss. The ambience and aroma is the first attraction to every restaurant we go, and Groov passed with flying colors. We love how artistic its designed. We got there at a time that we were the only one’s there at that moment– other’s came in 10 minutes later. So, we got the full attention of Craig– who’s amazing by the way. There’s a nice stage with guitars, carpet, the eating is just right, and the wall nicely decorated with pantings which depict nature, art and culture. We ordered the morning cleanse juice which was so tasteful and the ABC Juice– on point as well. Now, when the breakfast came, the quinoa with eggs– well done, spinach, some cheese, tomatoes, salivating writing this, the presentation alone was captivating. Every single thing we ordered was 5 star good. As we later found out, they have an app, and once you check in with their app, you get a free juice or smoothie– please don’t hesitate to check out this place, we are certain that, you will not be disappointed. We might go there today, 2 days in a row, why not!

How do you end an awesome year on a high note? Well you start preparing for the New Year to come by treating your body right. And that’s exactly what I did on New Year’s Eve morning. Waking up starving and knowing full well that a night of partying was at hand, I wanted something healthy for breakfast. Thankfully one of my friends had suggested Groov Café and Juice Bar in Montclair. Now I know Montclair has become a pseudo-SoHo in New Jersey so I know there are numerous places that yogis would approve of but based on all the positive reviews from this place I decided to give it a try. Well I’m so glad I did because this café is one groovy place maaan! The décor is quintessentially bohemian. From the choice of paint on the walls to the furniture and the art on the wall you get a sense that people who come here really live the love-nature-vegan-awesomeness lifestyle. The restaurant is spacious and with an open kitchen it makes the real estate feel even larger. You are actually able to see your food and juices all freshly made by loving hands. My chef-de-extraordinaire during my visit was Liz. She explained everything about their business and even chit-chatted with me for a bit. But the magic was the food that came out. I ordered their breakfast burrito and a vitamin c explosion juice. Let me start with the juice. A combination of pineapple, celery, carrot, orange, lemon, and ginger is a dose of energy that can make anyone jump off their seats and run for miles. I didn’t but hey the thought did cross my mind. Anyways the flavor is so unique, so delicious I can’t wait to try more of their juices. You can literally taste each ingredient especially the ginger which cleanses the palate perfectly. The breakfast burrito with sautéed peppers, onions, spinach, and cheese was to die for. The filling was cooked perfectly and the burrito wrap grilled before being rolled held on to the scrumptiousness inside like a warm embrace from a friend. To say I loved the burrito is an understatement. I want to marry it and have little burrito babies if I could! It is fun discovering new restaurants and healthy ways of eating. I’m always surprised that the food tastes just as good as other conventional eateries. Who knows I might actually turn vegan and start living a healthy, organic lifestyle… on second thought I’m going out for steak later so never mind. Hey at least I’m honest!

The Groov Café, formerly the Asana House, is a wonderful local juice bar that incorporates live music. Their staff is always friendly and helpful with any questions you have on the menu. The juice and smoothie menu features an amalgam of vegetable and fruit blends with added boosts. I would also recommend trying some of their food in addition to the juices. I ordered the Natty J which is a burrito filled with scrambled eggs, spinach, tomatoes, and avocado. It was filling and delicious. I ordered this for dinner one night since they serve brunch anytime. Most of the food options are either breakfast or salad. I would like to see them expand a bit more to offer healthy paninis or a variety of coffees. My girlfriend ordered the house wrap which was full of vegetables and was quite large and colorful. One recommendation for Groov Café would be to increase their social media presence or to add to their website a concert calendar. Both times that I stopped in, I came in before or after the live music. I would love to experience some of the musicians they bring in even if it’s a local band of highschoolers.

It’s my first time juicing, Isaac was wonderful helping me decide what to try to kick off my juicing. He took his time and explained everything to me and we came up with a great healthy drink for me to start with. I really appreciated it! And he made me a special breakfast. That was also great! I definitely recommend this place and I’ll definitely be back

Great juice place for those that want healthy ‘real’ juices — this spot does not skimp on the greens like some places do. Great value for the quality you get, and so friendly as well. When in town in Montclair, we’ll always stop in. P. S. The food looks great as well.

A smiling, attractive woman in a summer dress and high heels cuts up fresh apples, throws them into a juicer, adds ice, açai berries, blueberries, spinach, ginger, algae protein and honey to complete the blended concoction, and then smiles some more while offering you to try watermelon gazpacho with a parsley garnish she’s been drinking?! No, I do not fear cooties. Both drinks happened to be unfrgginbelievablefahgetaboutit good. Asana House just moved a few doors from their original location, and some renovations are in order at their newfound locale, but it remains one of the best options for blended drinks… anywhere. And there are some seriously good juice choices as well: Liver Detox, anyone? I’m not a yuppie female, and I don’t often drink juice, but when I do, I can’t imagine a better experience, or better ingredient quality than Asana House.
