Heratij

While I am not a skateboarder and snowboarding scares the crap out of me, I do really like Heratij. Aforementioned apparel excluded, they have an outstanding selection of purchase worthy denim and related clothing as well as an eclectic offering of shoes that you might not find elsewhere. Fine denim needs to be purchased in a place like this where the owner has an encyclopedic knowledge of selvedge nuance and denim weight/​construction/​quality. They have things here you probably won’t find anywhere else, displayed logically in sizes that are easy to find.
On my last trip I purchased a pair of vegan desert boots for my older son. He wanted something extremely light weight and comfortable that could easily be packed for travel. We selected a pair of Apollo Chukkas that fit his needs perfectly. Staff went on to explain their care and use, making sure they fit him properly. Price was more than reasonable and their attentive staff was as congenial as they were knowledgeable. A real winner and I wish them continued success.

Let me start by saying that my husband HATES shopping. He found this store when looking for snowboard gear, and came home like a kid on Christmas. So for his birthday, I knew exactly where I was going to shop and Heratij did not disappoint. I went in to the shop pretty clueless about what I was going to buy for him, and one of the owners was incredibly helpful (and friendly!) with tons of suggestions and advice for great gifts. My husband loved everything and is actually LOOKING FORWARD to going shopping here again!

Great, friendly expert service! Walked in for a pair of winter boots for my teen son. Walked out w a pleased smile from my son, discounted price for my wallet, and a planned meet-​up for snowboarding lessons for him! What more can a busy Montclair parent ask for than 1 stop shopping for winter sports w style.

Where do I start?! oh yea… how about the large amount of choices in this joint and the style they bring it to you! Like nothing I’ve seen before when looking for boards. Everyone that works here is also real chill and very helpful.
A friend of mine from Jersey made a big purchase here and If I didn’t stay in Cali all year I’d be here all the time when back east. Heratij is Highly recommended! I’ll be back!

I’ve been boarding for almost 20 years now, and in my time i’ve been to a lot of board shops, but Heratij is something new and different from just about any that I’ve been to. This place just oozes style and the guys who work there are some of the coolest people I’ve ever been helped by. They had everything I was looking for, and way more than I thought. The place is awesome, I’ll definately be going back for some more clothes and gear.
