. A few minutes after I posted the request, my phone was ringing! I couldn’t believe it because we were in a bind. A holiday was coming up and we had a very tight window (from the city where we live) to remediate a weedy, overgrown side yard that we never go into or use. The previous owners of our house laid a plastic sheet and some rocks over the dirt, and so we couldn’t use a lawnmower or weed whacker without rocks flying. Despite the holiday season, Brett came out to give me a quote the next day, and a couple of days later the problem was solved! The weeds were removed and his fees were reasonable. I’m so glad I found Brett and his people. We will definitely contact him again for future landscaping issues!

My wife and I were having major difficulties keeping the weeds under control in our zeriscape front lawn. The contractor that landscaped the front lawn a few years back didn’t layer it properly and weeds were sprouting up through our decomposed granite like crazy. We were too busy to keep up and were facing fines from the city. Brett came over, gave us a very quick and reasonable estimate, and sent his people to work our yard in a timely manner. They weeded the entire yard jungle in less than a full work day! It was outstanding! I didn’t even know two people working by hand and basic unpowered tools could be so effective and quick. They were very friendly and knowledgable and were open to answer any questions we had any time we came outside. We also have a son who is very sensitive to chemicals and we were having a terrible time figuring out alternatives to Roundup to keep the weeds at bay in the future. Since that stuff is manufactured by the forces of evil we had nowhere else to go. Brett came correct though! He explained how a mixture of vinegar & magnesium spiked with a bit of dish soap could be sprayed on our lawn to kill any leftover roots. He did just that for us and we haven’t seen any weeds sprout up since his initial clear-​cut of those horrors! I can’t say enough about the service. He can do any kind of work so we’re going to use him again to install our fence. His work has been integral to our continued neighborhood beautification and avoidance of heavy fines from the City of Claremont.
