Bad service, Food is not good… This is not how Colombian food looks or taste like it is a lot more better than this. I tried to eat here 3 times because I crave my Colombian food so bad but I just got totally disappointed each time.

Not having colombian food where I am live, this place is okay. Sometimes the food is not fresh and it looked like it was re-heated. Bandeja Paisa was okay but the chorizo looked it was re-fried. I order some empanadas and I could tell they were re-fried, I hope from the same day but I could not tell. Might go back before I leave but I will definitely try another colombian restaurant if I can.

First time here. The bandeja paisa is really good, very generous portions of tasty chorizo, steak, chicharron, plantain, toston, all accompanied with rice, beans, a fried egg, an arepa, and avocado. A meal that is definitely enough to keep you going for a while :) My brother and I came here on the weekend when they had mondongo, which was really good, hearty and rich. Very nice service and the prices were very reasonable. Glad I found this little place, I highly recommend it.

I absolutely loved the food here. The empanadas had great flavor. They were a little too crunchy for my liking but the filling was delicious. I also ordered a bandeja paisa which was the perfect size. Had a little bit of everything. The service was also great. Everyone was very nice and most importantly Columbian. This is authentic! I highly recommend it!

Well I have to say I was very disappointed with the dinner we had with our little family. My parents are both from Colombia and I definitely had a bad taste in my mouth just from the greeting we received walking into the establishment. We were very excited and open to the experience, but one thing after another really made it hard to be ready for some good home cooked Colombian cuisine. There were two other people in the establishment when we arrived. The owners were less than busy and were less than friendly. This is not the type of representation I want for my culture. I would never recommend any of my friends to this restaurant just because of the ambiance alone. The music was great but the service was as dry as the patacones they served us in the picado. For a family owned business, they didn’t seem to care too much about a new family walking into their restaurant. I can’t believe I left a 15 percent tip. I would tell anyone and much rather make a one to one and a half hour trip to the LA area, to go to a Colombian restaurant with class vs going to a place like this. I was truly hoping for a better first experience especially for my 2 year old little girl. Thank God, abuelita is a good cook. I just wanted to treat my parents to a relaxing dinner that reminded them of Colombia. Well at least the Postobon was good.

I wanted to try this place for a long time and when I finally did with my family we were very disappointed. First I think that they never change the oil they use for cooking because the place smells like old oil. Second the service was bad that guy looks like he hates his life. Third the food was not good we ordered a plate with beef and pork but I only found like 3 strings of beef. Bottom line I would not recommend it.

I have to say the food was NOTATALL what I expected. It was terrible. I’m Colombian, and these people are Colombian too. They’ve lost the touch the food requires. My food was cold. And one of the most delicious things people usually ask for when they go to a place like this is pandebono and/or empanadas. They ran out! They had 3COLD pandebonos the boy gave us. I was terribly disappointed. My first impression was a REALLY bad one. Even though this place is so close to me, I would rather drive out to LA for an authentic Colombian meal.

Ok I just want to be honest. I wish this place would read their reviews. I just left and I’m in shock on how bad service and especially the food was. The last time I was here a year ago it was a million times better. First is the service. They are so into talking within themselves and eating and watching novelas that I was just sitting there waving them down for everything I needed. 2nd. The food portions. The bandeja paisa which I am sure I am miss spelling was badddddd. I am Colombian and I know the food can never be like it is there but please don’t recook everything. The chicharon was so dry and burnt I didn’t even get more than one bite. The carne asada portion was so small that my Palm of my hand is bigger than the piece I got. The rice covered the whole plate and the beans were good. 3rd the empanadas were just potatoes and it also was reheated. And 4th the aje the salsa was so watery and had no celantro or lemon flavor and no taste. This place won’t last. Go to Adelas or the new Colombian spot in Huntington Beach that just opened. No wonder this place is always empty.

Well… first: the Customer Service is terrible!!! We needed to ask for silverware… then the walls are dirty!!! How can they not notice it??? My husband asked for«Ajiaco»… But it was a simple chicken soup!!! The rice wasn’t fresh and it tasted strange… the only good thing were«Empanadas»… I ate 2 of them because my food was a disaster. We will NEVER come back to this restaurant.

I would give this restaurant a zero but obviously Unilocal does not have that option. Ive been there a couple of times. The good is some what below average(donde adela in Orange County is the best). The service is horrible. Every time I went there the owner looked at me like I ruined his day because he had to get up to talk our order. I order 10 empanadas and I asked for aji and he wanted to charge extra because according to him the ingredient for aji were hard to find. What really pissed me off happened when I went to pay the bill and his card reader wasn’t working, I tried four of my cards and it didn’t work so in front of all the people he stated that may I should pay my bills so I didn’t have that problem WTH !! So my girl had to stay while I went to get cash from the ATM and came back to pay him. His wife tried to apologize and stated the card reader wasn’t working. Never coming back to this place.

Other reviews definitely had me apprehensive of the owner’s husband. Luckily we did not get the«rude» service as mentioned by other reviewers. It’s a family owned & run restaurant and it’s the only Colombian restaurant in the Inland Empire. The food is pretty great. The beans were some of the best pot beans I’ve had. Portions are large. I’m assuming the wife is the cook & the husband is front of the house. He’s not very engaging but he wasn’t rude by any means. He looked tired. If you’re interested in trying Columbian food give them a try.

It has been quite some time since my last visit. What the hell happened? The empanadas were greasy and flavorless. The steak had freezer burn :(. The restaurant itself felt grimy and greasy. I am never wasting my time or money here again

OK so this is my second time here! First off let me just comment on the food! I started off with the empanadas, & they were delicious! Very crunchy, flavorful, & the sauce was on point! Then, I ordered the Arepa con queso, OMG! Mouth watering! The dough patty was so soft, melts in your mouth! Loved it! Ultimately, my main dish finally arrived, Arroz con pollo! The plate was big & $ 9, not so bad. It was very tasty, had that authentic Colombian touch! Rice was yummy, chicken cooked to perfection & the platanos on the side added that sweet combination. Overall, the food was satisfying and flavorful! Unfortunately, the customer service was horrible! The man who took our order was very awkward & looked mad or miserable. We asked him questions about the food & he looked like he wanted to kill us. We had to constantly call him to give us refills. He never checked on us to see how we were doing. Turns out he’s the Owners husband! This is the reason I took 2 stars off the rating. Finally, the décor was casual & inviting. Typical Spanish environment, its pretty small, only 2 tables &3 booths. The prices aren’t so bad, & if you’re craving some good authentic Colombian food in the I.E. this is the place to go! Just don’t expect the best service!

If you’re looking for Colombian food in the Inland Empire this is the place to come to! I ordered a 2 empanadas, un plato de arroz con pollo(rice and chicken), and a manzana(apple soda), and wow that was great! The empanadas are amazing. The«arroz con pollo» was such a big plate that I couldn’t finish it and ended up eating it later for dinner. Manzana? I mean c’mon where else can you get such a great tasting drink? Great mom and pop traditional Colombian restaurant.

Great food, but horrible customer service! The man was rude as soon as we sat down and continued being rude as we asked basic questions. I normally brush things off but this man made us so uncomfortable that we actually got up and left.

This is a very basic, «mom and pop» type restaurant, serving Colombian food. It is a hole in the wall, but inside they keep it clean and organized. Service is okay – it is extremely hands off, very similar to what you would get in a small restaurant in Central or South America. In any case, they seem to serve a very traditional, and not an Americanized version, of Colombian food. I like to go in and just order whatever the special of the day is, regardless of whether or not I even understand what the dish will look like based on the name. It makes me feel as though I’m eating whatever«mama» or «abuela» decided to make that day, and in this way, it is sort of a comfort food place for me(and I’m not even Colombian!). I’ve had such dishes as lentil soup, frijoles negros con garra, and cuchuco de trigo. In the case of «garra» and«cucucho» I really had no idea what I was getting into, but I took my chances. Garra is apparently pork belly, so they use that when the stew the beans. This made the beans so flavorful! I loved it. Cucucho I suppose means soup or stew, and since trigo means«wheat», it was a soup made with wheat instead of a noodle or rice. There was also a chunk or pork on a bone served to add flavor to the broth, and I enjoyed this as well. This restaurant is great for anyone looking for an everyday, home-cooked, traditional Colombian meal. It’s not gourmet, it’s certainly not flashy, but it gets the job done.

Authentic Colombian Food: yuuuu-uuum! You won’t find tacos here. Its a little hole in the wall spot, but«never judge a book by its cover. « Food Ive tried(and you should, too!): Empanadas — ground beef & potato served with a delicious salsa Bandeja Paisa — beans, fried egg served over rice, pork rines, chorizo, beef, ripe plantain Chicken Milanesa — Thin pieces of breaded chicken served with rice, potatoes with house sauce and a side salad. Refreshing Mango Juice(with water or milk) The customer service is excellent. The owners really go out of their way to make it feel like you’re visiting their home. An example of their great customer service: a lady ordered an empanada hoping it would be ready by the time her bus arrived at the bus stop located just outside the restaurant. She thought she was going to miss her bus she told the owner to forget about it. When the empanada was done and he saw that she was still waiting at the bus stop, he walked it out to her. Ive never seen a restaurant owner go out their way like that. Would I recommend this place? I sure do!
