If i could give this place negative stars i would. This place is horrible, disgusting, ghetto and any other horrible word you could think of. How pathetic can this place be I got kicked out because I wanted another bar tender to help me. He was absolutely rude and sad. This place is fun and all but the service was horrible. It smelled like patas in there and the security was your typical ghetto Pomona service. Unless your ghetto AF don’t go there.

I went with a group of friends for my birthday, and had a really great time. I had no issue with the bouncers like some previous reviewers had stated-they were pretty chill actually. Drinks were good, wait staff was friendly, and prompt. Music was absolutely perfect-everything from early 80s new wave to pop. The only drawback is what’s typical in any club– 3 bathroom stalls for the ladies with a line a mile long. Would highly recommend for a fun night out.

It’s 10: fing 40pm and no band wtf? I am never coming here for a «Depeche Mode» night or any night ever again. Why don’t you advertise what time they are going on and stop making us get here early to do jack. I came here for the band not to watch people dance.

The bar tenders are kind of dicks. They cut u off after a certain amount of drinks regardless of how ur acting. They let u buy a drink when they already think ur drunk then kick u out the second U pay

I came here for a friend’s birthday on a Saturday night. It was cool and fun. 80’s music, a dance floor and music videos on their tv screens. My wife and her friend went to the bar and asked the bartender to put their drinks on my CC. The bartender asked them to bring me to the bar. I appreciated the bartender being careful with stuff like that. The music stopped for about an hour for a band called Mac Sabbath to perform. Go look them up, they’re pretty cool. After they preformed it was back to normal. It’s a club so it will be noisy. It got pretty full and there weren’t a lot of tables but we didn’t care, we were dancing and hanging out. Prices are okay. Keep in mind you come here for the experience.

This place is great if your a million years old(60 and up not because of the music but because of all the oldies”) or if your a old ass man looking for a gold digger! Lol music is awesome came here just to dance and listen to great music!!! I seen too many old grandpa’s with liver spots! The DJ is awesome one of the best 80s dj I’ve heard. But seriously there was way too many liver spots there felt like I was at my grandma’s 100th birthday party! 4 stars for the great music! P. S the drinks are Hella weak!

The BASS on the stereo system was too loud and impossible to enjoy the night. Tons of people were leaving at 2 hours because of the BASS. No thanks for us!

We went there last night, about 10 of us ages ranging from late 20s to early 40s, and we had a blast! My expectations were low considering the area but it didn’t disappoint. They had a live band dressed up as the Back to the Future characters and they were really good! It was very crowded so expect to stand the whole time. Very limited tables and chairs but plenty of space on the dance floor. I didn’t mind the cover charge since parking is free and they had a live band plus security was really good. I would say there were a lot more women here and mostly 30s to 40s age group. Songs, of course, were all 80s, all my favs! So if you are a fan of that decade, I would recommend this place. I’m just taking away 1 star because the bathroom line was too long with only 3 stalls for the womens. They really need to fix this but other than that, I will be back!

This place is not in the best part of town yet charges a cover and has over-priced drinks. People must be stupid because they keep paying. The place was packed with people of all ages. Many of whom are not attractive. So good for the bar but not good if you enjoy people watching or looking to meet someone. After a few drinks people start dancing on the stage. Well, gyrating is more like it. Not attractive at all. I don’t understand the massive security for this dump of a bar. It’s not Hollywood and the majority of the people are there to have fun and not cause trouble. $ 10 cover charge for Pomona is just ridiculous. Drinks are the same price as Hollywood but as weak as a newborn kitten. Also not enough bar staff for that many people. For that kind of cabbage the owner should invest in an air-conditioning system and a sound system that meets 2016 standards. Just because it’s 80’s music doesn’t mean you have to use equipment from that decade. Music is good, people seem fairly cool. No gangbangers, thugs or criminal types. But not going back. Needs major improvements. But since people keep paying that stupid cover & packing the place, nothing will change.

So disappointed with the security at this place! Will definitely not be back or recommend to anyone! Went with a group of 20 people, but security decided to harass my husband who only had 2 drinks! Instead of talking to him to see if he was ok, they just had a power trip and kicked him out until they decided(5 min. later) he was ok to go back in. It definitely was uncalled for and put a damper on the night. Note to owner: security themselves seemed«high» and not capable of making any reasonable choices. Too bad because we would have kept returning.

Sorry but their HH sucks. $ 3 bud lights only. Boo. Then we ordered a drink for the birthday girl and she didn’t like when we told the bartender he said he could make her another one but he will charge us because their is nothing wrong with the drink. How rude? Whatever happen to satisfying the customer. Ehh cool music, basic 80s but other than that don’t expect much from the staff.

The head of security had a 1.37 gpa and decided he wanted to be relevant for 1 night. His ruling was that I could not enter«his» establishment because I got out of my über and had a drink in my hand. Extremely humbling experience for an upstanding citizen, I should of known coming to this shit hole of a city. I hope that 11 dollar an hour job puts turkey on your table. UPDATE: I’ve been to 2 bars since this shit hole And they let me in. 2ndUPDATE: do not ever go to «that 80’s bar» Because it sucks

Sadly our high school reunion did not do a sufficient job of taking us back to the 80s, so after the event we headed over to That 80s Bar for a quick fix. When we arrived, a great sounding band was finishing up their set and then a DJ took over. What I enjoyed: the music, the dancing, tables/stools to sit and rest, price of drinks, and my refreshing adult beverage – a Daisy Duke Martini. What I did not enjoy: small cramped ladies room, drunk woman who almost puked on me in said small cramped ladies room, people who parked themselves on the dance floor to chat, music videos on TV screens that did not match music played by DJ, patrons dressed as very bad Madonna impersonators, and the lights turned on. They really need to turn down the lights or better yet turn them off so you are not forced to see what people look like. Dim lighting and darkness is flattering to everyone. It also helps to create an element of surprise. Then at the end of the night, when you close down the club, and they turn on the lights – Surprise! ! !

Visited this club last night and we had a ball! The band was good, DJ had the ’80’s and some ’90’s music, and the drinks were right on! They had pints of Budlight for $ 3, before 8 pm. My friend had Stella pints throughout the night and those were $ 5. They also sold«fishbowls,» which I had. I ordered The Terminator, equivalent to a screw driver :) It was a great buy! They are $ 20 but they last all night. At least it did for me since I was on the dance floor 50% of the time I was there. They serve no food so have dinner before. They also have a few tables with stools, which isn’t common nowadays so I really liked that. Cover charge before 8 pm is $ 5 and $ 10 afterwards. As the club is named That ’80’s Bar, expect the crowd to be in their late 30’s to early 50’s. I wouldn’t recommend this club to young ones lol. Ohh, parking is across the street, at the swap meet parking lot. That’s the only thing I didn’t like. We arrived early in hopes of finding a parking spot at the location but when we got there we noticed they blocked the entire parking spots at the location. They must have them reserved for staff. All in all, great place to party! I’ll be back!

Excellent place to come here some good 80’s music. Environment is comforting no drama and just s lot of people here to have a good time. The have a love band on Saturday nights and there amazing playing a ton of cover songs. Came here for my cousins bday and would highly recommend this place. Staff is extremely friendly front eh entrance girl to the security to the bartenders. They just want u to have a good time. Alcohol is cheap. 3 vodka tonics and a Malibu pineapple came out to $ 20 not bad… It’s a $ 10 cover after a certain time but well worth the money. And not kidding people stay till the end to close the club out.
