Well, Let me begin by stating that my first transaction with this dealer was on ebay, To my misfortune and being new in the coin world was doing my best to be a cautious buyer as ebay is being flooded with misleading coin listings, I made a fair offer to this dealer and it was accepted, i was happy, as i continued to try and educate myself and find coin values for ms70 etc grade coins, i looked in the red book, not helpful, so i went to the coin grading website that is listed on the coin slab, well this slab i bought from them was coming back as certification number not valid, a flag to me and so i sought a explanation from the seller, his reply was short and direct but not instilling confidence, and i quote cbcoins03: it is certified by ANACS I had some else that check with ANACS and they confirmed yes it was there holder and offered to re holder it in there currant holders Who called them, who did they talk to at ANACS and why am i supposed to believe this after the fact, Ive never done business with them, No names used ever. Didn’t solve my concerns at all. mind you this is being done by emails with hours and days between them. My Response was That explanation didn’t resolve my concerns re it authenticity, i insisted on a refund and if not would leave negative FB Their response Quote : cbcoins03: we are A brick AND Mortar business we don’t play games But Fine your a FN idiot please don’t bid on my items ever again ! Well Judge for yourselves, This seller had a oppurtunity to secure my trust and earn future business with me, had he valued new customers and was capable of handling problems without getting personal. His emails continued and just got more and more insulting. The true nature of a company is revealed when there is a problem to be handled, the way they handle it says a lot about them. This spoke volumes to me I followed up on the coins cert number with the Grading Company ANACS. It was a error on there part, the coin was in fact theres. I spoke with Paul and he explained that a small batch of coins left there without being entered into there system, Well had the dealer been more detailed and given the reasons and who spoke to who and offered me the info to verify i would have been satisfied with the effort to resolve my skepticism. ANACS did offer to reslab the item, but i told them i had already cancelled my order and their mistake played a role in this as well. They however were understanding apologetic and not defensive or making it personal. So I feel Unilocal is only useful when the truth is there to aid in the decision making process and all cards are on the table, I am not perfect but i was the customer as are most going to this site, its here to tell others how about our experience, I feel the owner handled the issue poorly, made it personal and has some unresolved anger issues. Best Wishes to all for 2016

Nice clean place with friendly people. Nice bid board. Good selection of US coins, but not many world coins. Didn’t see any ancients or medieval. Bring cash as they do not except credit card or debit. Good selection of supplies for coins too.

Honest and very knowledgable people. I would never go anywhere else with my coins! They are always polite and will tell you the truth about what you bring in. They also have unique things compared to other coin shops like the old disney dollars! Love going these guys!

Recently I had been encouraged to visit the Coin Buyer. I made the drive to the store and didn’t feel every welcome. The individual in the store seemed to be rushing me as I was looking through the store. When I was explaining what I was looking for and how I found out about the location I was cut off. Needless to say, I left the store. The following day I came back in the hopes I would have better service. I did not. I did some research before I went into the Coin Buyer about various spot prices. There was not a huge selection and I was told it was $ 2 over spot. Little did they know I was able to find a dealer that had $ 1 over spot. The individual at the Coin Buyer seemed to blow me off and said that I could not beat that price. So he told me to go to the other dealer since I would not be able to beat his spot price. Too bad for them, I did make the drive to purchase some precious metals for a $ 1 over spot. At the other dealer I received better service and got more for my money. Needless to say I will not be going back to the Coin Buyer again.

They sell silver bullion 2 bucks over spot! you can’t beat that with a stick! They also have a auction wall where you can sell or bid on stuff kinda like ebay, every tuesday they close the wall and you pay for what you won. It’s pretty interesting how they set up all kinds of raffles and contests to keep you coming back, the prizes are nice.
