This little shop is amazing. There’s not enough room on here to compliment them properly so I’lI keep it sweet and simple. I have had wonderful experiences there. The shop is owner is the probably the nicest person I have ever met. Super helpful and very patient! Each visit leaves me so inspired. I intend on spending a lot of money here. Verdigreen is LIFE.

Love this place! I have both bought chalk paint there and purchased antique items. Azie has impeccable taste. The items she creates are beautiful and she is an expert at advising on your own projects — I bring in a photo and a vague idea and she always asks the best questions to guide me to the right choice. The paint is super easy to use. There are also great smelling candles and beautiful throws if you are looking for a quick gift. Almost everything is from local artists, so you can feel good and get something beautiful and original.

I walked into verdigreen with the intention of purchasing chalk paint. The minute I walked through the door the store owner was super sweet and welcoming. She showed us were the colors were and even gave us time to look at them without hovering over our shoulders. Once I picked out the color, she even was nice enough to show me what it would like on furniture. Then she suggested wax for my furniture, but didn’t even push it on me. (My boyfriend loved the music there.) When she was finalizing the sale she gave us her card and encouraged us to call her if we had any problems. I would definitely go back to this store again and recommend any friends looking to paint furniture.

Charming, smart, eclectic and welcoming… Words cannot express how much Azie and her super cute shop has changed my life this summer. As a re-born DIY Queen, she supplied the amazing ASCP and a plethora of tips to make my projects come alive. She is a full service merchant that offers her expertise AND her mobile if you have any questions along the way. I actually have to stop myself from texting her pics of every project, because she is enthusiastically supportive. What I have to do, is spend more time at Verdigreen looking at the niche products that decorate the space and make it very lovely and welcoming. Having grown up in Montclair, this is one of the best additions to the community. Stop by… but be ready to be delighted.

If I could give Verdigreen 10 stars, I would. Azie is so kind and gracious, and so supportive of your home chalk paint projects. Hands-on demos empower you to go home and DIY to your hearts content. She even gave me her cell phone number should I have had a chalk paint emergency of sorts :) Definitely plan on supporting as many local businesses I can in my new ‘hood, this just being one of them. Great store, great concept, and such a nice place to visit.

This place is absolutely adorable and the store owner is such a sweetheart. I had passed by the storefront a handful times on my walk home from the train station on several different weekdays and it was always dark. This past Saturday, I was showing a couple of friends around town and noticed that the door was open, so obviously we had walked on in. The entire store was filled nicknacks. handmade candles, throw pillows, aprons, stationary, vintage tools, custom and reupholstered furniture. It was pure Etsy in storefront form, which particularly featured local Montclairian artists and designers. As an artist/designer/Montclairian myself, I love supporting fellow constituents. Everything is reasonably priced, even for the vintage and antique items. My friend ended up purchasing a vintage apothecary bottle for $ 3! I was seriously tempted to buy an antique green trunk they had on display, but really had to think practically as how I was going to lug it home. I’m really curious to see what other goodies come up for sale!

Really cute new shop in Montclair that carries vintage and upcycled furniture, really cute gift items, and items for the home. This isn’t your average cluttered antique shop, but had more of an upscale showroom feel. I love that the store has a bunch of one-of-a kind items that seem to be more curated than random. There’s also a range of art, small décor items, and paper products that are designed by local Montclair artisans and there seems to be a real focus on supporting local businesses. It’s also a kid-friendly place with a small play area for children in the back. I bought some beautiful vintage magnets there and will be adding the sari blanket to my holiday wish list. Tip: If you see something unique that you love, snatch it up. I had my eye on a great vintage typewriter and when I went back for it a few days later it was gone.
