Sad that they are closed for good, as of November 20. Loved their crepes and the area!

Overall disappointing experience. Staff was immature, inattentive and not knowledgeable about the menu. Good was only okay. I believe the vegetables were canned and nothing was seasoned well.

This is a favorite of my wife and mine for coffee and crepes. We were notified via Facebook about their new breakfast menu and decided to go today to try it out. Unfortunately that was a mistake. When we got there the waitress did not know about the new menu and we had to look it up online. After checking with someone else twice she finally realized there was a new menu and got it from the back room. However the menu was different than what they had online. So we finally order and get our Lattes which are lukewarm. While we were waiting what seemed like a really long time for our food the wait staff decided that this would be a good time to vacuum — so for twenty minutes my wife had to scream at each other to talk. We finish our lattes and ask for more water to drink with our food. Our waitress never came back. Eventually we went to the front counter to pay. The service was so bad that it will be awhile before we go back. We wanted to get up and leave several times. On a positive note the food was excellent. We strongly recommend the food. Maybe just go at a time when they are better prepared to provide good service.

First time here. I ordered a savory crêpe, the ingredients fresh. I can see myself going back.

REALLYBADCUSTOMERSERVICE… we arrived as a party of 6 and waiting there for 30 minutes and no one came to even provide us with the menu after almost 40 minutes waiting for someone to take our order we approached the waitress and her replied was I have table already. By the way there was 3 different parties that came after us and see provided with service except us

Wish there was an option for 0 stars. So my wife and I head here as an option for dessert. We first walk in and see the sign to seat ourselves, so we did. No one greeted us or anything. 5 minutes pass by. No one still attending to us. Keep in mind there were 5 employees working and 2 waitresses. There was only one other table occupied at this time. Shortly thereafter, a trio of women sat themselves and were greeted and tended to as soon as they sat down. We waited another minute, thinking the waitress would finally greet us. Instead, she ran back behind the counter. We, in turn, got up and left. Perhaps if it was busy and more tables were occupied, the employees’ behavior could be excusable. We will not be returning here again. Their lack of customer service is deplorable.

I really enjoy the crepes here. Both savory and sweet — never disappointed. The batter is flavorful for both. The ingredients are fresh and also taste great. :-) Service is friendly and they really want you to feel welcome and comfortable. My favorite is the La Vegetarianne Crêpe. Highly recommend this place!

Horrible experience! This place had their air conditioner turned off in the summer! It was so hot outside and even hotter inside. The place had flies everywhere!!! Trying to eat and constantly trying to stop them from landing on your food… The service was also bad, our waitress was not attentive, didn’t serve us any water and kept forgetting any request we had. I don’t recommend this place.

Had coffee and gelato. Great place for a quick bite. I have heard the salads are very good, but just stopped for dessert. Had a crêpe which was ok but on the crisy side.

3.5 stars. We had some coffee and two savory crepes. Both were good and we enjoyed it, but wished the crêpe itself was a little less dough-y. Everyone who served us was really nice and we had a pleasant experience. I’ll return again to try some of the other dishes.

Came here on a Sunday for brunch. Place had people, but certainly not packed. Service was not good. Had servers running around and had to yell for them to bring a water refill or anything else. People were nice, but they are either under staffed or just not organized. We ordered breakfast crepes and lattes. Lattes were good. Crepes themselves were hard and had no taste. I’m used to soft crepes, not sure if they were overcooked. Meal was just bland and not tasty at all. Expected at least good crepes at a crêpe place. Nothing was flat out terrible about this place, so will update my review if we come back again and have a better meal.

So i went to Yalo & Me not knowing what to expect. If you have been debating on going or are currently in the area debating where to eat I highly recommend that you eat there. I was unsure of what i wanted to start the staff was very pleasant and walked me through the menu and consulted on what they thought was best which is always my favorite way to order. I started with the a panini that had fresh mozzarella, red peppers, chicken and pesto. It was delicious. the bread that it came on was perfectly crispy, the cheese was melted just right and the chicken was cooked perfect. I had never had a crêpe before so i probably cant be the best judge on this but I cant imagine it getting any better than it was. I got the caramelized banana crêpe with whipped cream. It came out hot and i had to keep telling myself to slow down and enjoy how delicious it was. I decided to pass on the gelato since I was already stuffed but the woman at the front counter kindly let me try a few flavors so I would know what I wanted to order next time I go back, Which will be soon!

Yalo & Me is a cute place. I like Montclair because it has a lot of cute independently owned cafes and restaurants vs the usual chains you find in suburbia. My friend and I decided to go in for some breakfast. She had tomato soup and an omelet and I had an egg white, Swiss and bacon buckwheat crêpe. The crêpe was excellent. The only thing I didn’t like was my Almond latte as it wasn’t really a latte. I think the guy who makes them was in training. I recommend for a buckwheat breakfast crêpe for sure but next time will go for orange juice or plain coffee to accompany it. Also, the service was really good and our waitress was kind and attentive. Nice interior space — bright and airy. Try it out.

The gelato has always been amazing — really tasty! I’ve enjoyed some wonderful savory crepes, and I like the lightness of the crêpe and the amount of filling. The sandwiches have been good as well. The atmosphere can be a little chaotic at times, and I’ve peeked in to walk out when it’s too crowded. But I do that for most places as I don’t enjoy crowded spaces. I’m looking forward to trying more of the breakfast options; I like that they have a lot of European style options for morning noshes.

I ordered the Mexican Crêpe to go because I wanted a quick bite before my movie. I loved the atmosphere of the place. The crêpe came with a side salad — loved the dressing. Inside was filled with diced chicken, tomatoes, avocado and cheese. It tasted super healthy and fresh. I would try this place again, but wasn’t blown away.

I was so excited walking down Church St when I saw Yalo & Me. I mean, the place looked great. Crêpe guy in the window doing what crêpe guys do, long counter with delicious looking food, small, intimate eating area with a really cool look and vibe. It was with these intentions that we walked in, were seated right away, looked at the menu and chalk board and were really happy with anticipation. We really just wanted coffee and, had we decided to stop there, this review would have at least another 2 Stars, maybe even 3. We ordered a coffee, a latte and a(I can’t quite remember the name of it) crêpe with goat cheese(LOVE goat cheese), wall nuts(mmmmm), honey(everyone loves honey) and arugula(most people’s favorite lettuce variety). What could possibly be better on a cold Autumn day? Coffee and latte arrived. Yummy. The latte even had one of those froth milk leaf patterns and they both came with this yummy, round little waffle cookie this that was awesome. However and this is a substantial however, that all changed when the crêpe arrived. Now, maybe it’s me. My only recent crêpe experiences have been at Sook in Ridgewood and, in case you haven’t heard, Sook in Ridgewood’s crepes are frigging awesome. So, back to my story: The crêpe arrived and the first thing that came to mind were those annoying«Where’s the Beef?» Wendy’s commercials from the 80’s. Only in this case the beef was the goat cheese, honey, walnuts and arugula. If there was literally a table spoon of goat cheese, ½ walnut, a thimble full of honey and 2 tiny springs of arugula I would be over stating. The thing was all crêpe and no filling. I would say that about 20% had filling and 80% was completely empty. Now, I am a reasonable guy and mistakes do happen. Sometimes something is prepared incorrectly. So why aren’t I more forgiving in my review? Crepes are hand made and prepared to order. They are not mass produced and should therefore, be presented, if nothing else, consistently. I looked at the diners next to us with a sort of WTF look on my face and noticed that theirs were prepared the same; not a filling to be seen. At $ 8.00, I think the price is more than fair, if only there was something more to it. I would have gladly even paid a few bucks more. However, considering how incredibly skimpy they were, I cannot recommend this place. Pity because, like I said before, I had such high hopes.

I have gone here a couple times for a quick gelato fix and last night I had the best green tea gelato! The décor inside is cute and on nice summer days& nights there is outdoor seating for you to enjoy every single drop of your gelato. I haven’t had their crepes but they also look very good and made right in front of you. Their banana Nutella gelato is also pretty bomb too! Great place to hang out and relax after a long stressful workweek.

Friendly service, delicious lean tropics smoothie. The bonjour breakfast sandwich(egg, cheese, and kale on a baguette) did not have much flavor and left much to be desired, especially for a $ 6 breakfast sandwich. Would definitely come back for the smoothie, not sure if I’d come back for the food.

3.75 I’ve been here a handful of times before and after their new ownership/expansion and I will say that I’m a fan. The service is hit or miss table side, but the counter is where it’s at, the service and the gelato! Two scoops for $ 6 sounds a bit steep but the quality of the gelato is top notch. HAZELNUT — there’s nothing fake about it. It’s so nutty! DUCLEDELECHE — its not a burnt caramel, but a South American«Manjar» flavor, simply sweet and deep with flavor. It’s not available all the time, so get it when it’s there! CHOCOLATESORBET — if you’re a dark chocolate fan, this flavor is perfect for you BANANANUTELLA — It’s real banana! PISTACHIO — not the best out there; I find it to be a blend of nuts, leaning more towards the extract side. Be sure to get a rewards card for gelato and/or coffee!(It’s one hole punch per visit, not per quantity).

Cute restaurant! Had the chocolate crêpe and it was sooo good. Not sure how any combo or Nutella, strawberries and crêpe could taste bad though! Also had a cappuccino which was delicious! The pistachio gelato was amazing! I would rate that 5⁄5. It had nice big chunks of pistachio which I loved! Mmmmm Service is very friendly and helpful.
