Great for quick«I forgot something» trips while out and about. All the basics and then some, plus a little deli area with some fresh made treats. Huge selection of wines, beers and other non-alcoholic drinks.

Fairer than normal prices for a small market in the middle of nowhere. Very good variety for a small market too. If you don’t need to buy fresh meat this is a way better choice that Safeway in Guerneville which is a complete nightmare.

No public restroom. Really? And they are unfriendly about it. Service is not their thing here. If you’re driving through, keep going until you get somewhere friendlier.

Bartlett’s is a trip back in time to the 50’s with a small town market that has a bit of everything. All is good, it costs a bit more, and it is a good deal when you consider travel time and convenience. They are real down home here and polite and kind. The vegetables were looking OK, not a huge selection, but again enough to make a wonderful meal. A good time for all. Smile and enjoy you time travel. What Fun!

Bad Bartlett’s! Bought a bottle of 18.99 red wine to have with dinner. The cork broke and the wine was vinegar. Took it back and they refused to replace it. We didn’t want our money back, just to swap it out. It was clearly corked. Cashier refused. Said it was illegal to exchange liquor? I think not. Bummer. We had spent 200 bucks there over the long weekend we just spent up here. Won’t shop there again. Bummer.

I stopped at this market to get a sandwich in the middle of an 87 mile bike ride. The service and the sandwich were excellent. The staff was very pleasant and friendly and provided me with suggestions of lovely places to visit and eat my lunch. I recommend a stop at this market which is located in a beautiful area on the Russian River.

Their hours of operation are convenient. They have everything that large grocery stores have, only at a higher price. But, it is the deli that is the special spot in Monte Rio. Deli manger Pat can prepare large catered type lunches. She regularly caterers lunches for the Bohemian Club camps. Food is fresh and well prepared with quality Ingredients.

Ask if the owner made soup. She regularly makes chili and chicken soup, both are great. Their sausage comes from local farms in Occidental — very good!

This market is at the ideal location for people going to the river or camping nearby. They have all the basics for a simple picnic by the river or ices & wood for your campsite. We stopped here several times because the location was on the way in or out of where ever we were going.

Stopped here to pick up some groceries since we didn’t have time on the say up. I have to say that it lacked on being a «fully stocked» grocery store. Granted I know it’s not like we’re near a big Safeway, but trying to find food for a respectable dinner was lacking. Their produce was close to nonexistant as was their fresh meat and deli(which was closed). So we ended up with no salad/veggies and packaged lunch meat. The one redeeming item that we did get which was revealed to us at checkout was this nice grade of ground beef from a local meat store. Now that was some good beef! Had we known Guernville was only minutes away I think we would have stopped there instead.

This store has everything you need to enjoy yourself in /on /or around the Russian River slash trip to the coast. They have a full service deli and a great selection of ice cold beer. For lunch I like to grab some produce to slice up myself, some loafs of bread, and get some sliced meat and cheese from the deli and take my party on the road. The cast of characters coming in and out of this place is just hilarious, everyone getting supplies and trinkets to make their day that more amazing, you got to love it!

Your one stop shop before hitting the river for extra large faux Christian Dior sunglasses(only $ 5.99!), patriotic inflatable bats for beating your river companions on the head, water weenie squirt guns for spraying aforementioned companions in the face for hours of amusement, last minute beers when you realize that you’ve underbid your beer needs with 30 pack of Tecate and assorted sixers, and of course, more ice. Nice people manning the register in this place and an extra star for dude outside whose main occupation seems to be smoking cigs and sitting around.
