Miramar Cottages

The Miramar Cottages in Montecito are a great deal in a charming neighborhood. There are 2 cottages to choose from, and they’re both small, cute, and secluded. We rented the 1bed/​1bath #68 cottage for Memorial Day weekend, and were very pleased overall. The cottages really are in a great location, less than 5 miles from downtown Santa Barbara. Even better, it’s only about a block and a half walk to the ocean. Unfortunately, the closest «beach» is just rocks, and it’s a bit farther and trickier to get to the sand. The cottage itself was in decent shape. There were a few small things that needed to be fixed, but in general it was nicely kept up. The high speed internet was appreciated, but the TV was on the fritz the whole time we were there. To their credit, they sent out a guy to try and fix it right away without us having to ask. Service throughout the entire rental process was good. They were easy to work with, and Sasha was very responsive and enthusiastic. The per-​night price and cleaning fee were very competitive, but they’ll charge 3% extra if you use a credit card. On the plus side, the entire area seems very pet friendly, and you can bring a canine or feline companion for just an extra 35 bucks per stay. In the end, we had a great trip, and the cottage was just what we were looking for!
