Simple but good food with friendly service at a good price. I hope this place does well. I’ve had dumplings all over San Gabriel valley and this place is pretty good. Nice big dumpling to fill you up. Definitely do the shrimp and pork dumpling. The place is clean which is very important for me when it comes to dining. The waitress was very attentive. This is the place to go after a long day for a nice hearty meal without fanfare. A group of friends or by yourself, just sitting down to have a nice solid meal for a good price.

Details. . Lunch on a Saturday. . Restaurant was relatively empty. . We ordered the«hot spicy pork with egg dry noodle» & the«stewed beef noodle soup» NO prOs. =\ cOns. . No one at the restaurant was able to speak a lick of English. I’m not trying to discriminate, being Asian myself, but I feel like it’s really unacceptable to open a business in America and not be able to understand your customers. We placed our orders by pointing at the pictures on the walls & when I asked for«no onions» the server had to ask the next table who was leaving to translate for her. What would’ve happened had there been no one else in the restaurant?! . The food was.inedible. The dry egg noodle dish was so over seasoned & salty that after 2 bites, I wasn’t able to taste my tongue. It felt like I had licked a piece of sandpaper. The noodle soup dish was a tad better, but still bad.

I was pleased to find a new dumpling spot in our area. They have some specials right now – free cold dishes or sodas when you order certain dishes. The dumplings weren’t bad. The skin is a bit thick which I do not prefer but the dumplings were large and had enough substance. They had a large selection of dumplings but I would caution ordering any that contain clam. Ours had what seemed like sand in them but the staff explained it’s a characteristic of the clams… We also ordered some noodle soups. The beef noodle soup was good, with tasty soft beef. Someone ordered a spicy noodle soup concoction that was very flavorful. The only thing about the soups is that they are not light – on the thicker and saltier side. The ingredients here could probably be more fresh but overall still pretty good.

This restaurant is my favorite mom-and-pop establishment because it offers authentic food that is freshly made to order! The dumplings are so juicy and huge. The cook doesn’t get stingy with the meat. I usually order pick-up, but the service is still as friendly as when I dine in. It’s a pleasant surprise because most Chinese establishments do not believe that good customer service is essential to their business. My faves: 1. shrimp & pork dumplings 2. fish dumplings 3. fish fillet in spicy sauce 4. shrimp, pork & leek pan fried buns Not many people know about this dumpling house because it is tucked in the back of a very small plaza. My friend first brought me here right after I got a hair cut at JJ Beauty Salon of the same plaza. If we hadn’t walked on Garvey Ave, I wouldn’t have seen this restaurant at all. If you’re driving, this place is located between McPherrin Ave and Huntington Ave. The reason I’m not giving this restaurant 5 bright red stars is because of their C rating. Since this place never gets crowded, there should be no excuses for the big, bright red C rating.(I still patronize this restaurant because I never get food poisoning from eating here. :p) Also, this spot used to be the ill-fated Bön Marché Bistro. I’m not sure if this place is still owned by the same family. I hope more people will visit this restaurant so it doesn’t go out of business! The feng shui is really bad with the open kitchen layout and the restroom in the money corner… I hope the great food and service will help the restaurant beat the odds against the bad feng shui!

Great service.!Authentic food. We ordered fish dumplings. Shrimp pork and leek dumpling. Beef noodle soup. Ma la fish in oil heat pot. And because we ordered over $ 30 worth of food we got free spicy lamb chops. The fish dumplings were not fish balls, but real fish which was something I’ve never had before.

Great little place. Too bad it is tucked inside a plaza. Hopefully this Unilocal review and the banner outside of their shop I tried their beef noodle soup with tendon. They are really generous with the amounts of chucks of beef in the soup. The noodles had this udon texture which i like. The broth is pretty dark and savory. I would recommend trying that even thou its not a noodle house but dumplings. I tried the pan fried dumplings with pork and leek are really good. They are bite size but they come with about 12 of them. Overall, service is great. They checked up on us frequently and refilled our waters without us having to ask. Super clean place and super friendly.

Last week as I was taking my evening walk, I found out that there was this restaurant serving my favorite Chinese food, dumpling! If it weren’t for my walk, I wouldn’t know this restaurant would exist because you could easily drive by without knowing its existence. I walked in and picked-up their to-go menu. I came here today with a party of 3 including myself. It was a little after 5pm, Friday evening. There weren’t any patrons. The only person as we walked in was the chef himself. About 5 minutes later, a swarm of waitresses came by through the main entrance; one of them took our order. We ordered a plate of cold dish stewed beef, beef noodle soup with a choice of fat noodle, a plate of boiled Taiwanese cabbage with pork dumpling, and a pan-fried bun consisting of leek, shrimp, and pork. We were served with the stewed beef. It was chilled. Flavor-wise it was mediocre. Not too salty like most others. The leek and shrimp with pork pan-fried bun came with 6 pieces. Normally I’m not so crazy about it, however, it was impressively delicious. It came piping hot, not too greasy. I had two servings. The beef noodle came in a rather large bowl with lots of vegetables, especially bean sprouts. I was expecting fat, wide noodle, but with this change, it was simply delicious! The width of their«fat» noodle is like Japanese udon with more of a bouncy chewy texture. The noodle was hand-made, tasted and cooked fresh. The beef broth was quite light, and surprisingly not salty. The beef was tender and delicious. Last but not least the dumplings came. WOW! They’re fat, juicy, and comes with 12 pieces! That’s unusual to me because most dumpling restaurant would give you 8 at the most. Frankly, I was extremely impressed with the restaurant. It’s clean, and their service was exceptional. The waitresses comes by every few minutes to check up on you. They’re nice and friendly. After a few friendly chat, I found out they’re from Tianjin, China. Pick up one of their paper menu. It comes with Happy Hour Coupons good from 4pm to 7pm. Use their $ 3 off entire bill $ 15 or more, or 20% off entire bill $ 25 or more. I would definitely come back!
