Terrible terrible service. Please don’t come here. Very unprofessional. My appointment was at 1 and i arrived 20 mins early since i had to fill out paperwork. The lady at the counter tells me my doctor went out to lunch and will be late 10 – 15 mins. I thought since it was only 10 – 15 mins i thought it would be okay. But no. The doctor didn’t come until 40Mins after the set appointment time. Why would a doctor who knowlingly has an appointment at 1 go out for lunch late and stay out so late? Please do yourself a favor and find another doctor.

I visited Acro Consultants office on 1÷7÷2012. I’m reviewing it a few months later because I wanted to put away the bad memories and hoped it was just an isolated experience. I changed my mind later on because I felt that people need to be made aware of this awful place. The staff I’ve dealt with were all Chinese speaking,(which is fine since they seem to cater towards the Chinese community). It was a very busy office, and I’ve witnessed a few people during my time there who complained about the wait time or billing issue they had. But the real problem I found was the lack of organization and professionalism as you would see… So I made an appointment with Acro since my doctor who has multiple offices, also worked there. Knowing there’s a possibility of a long wait at mental health clinics(people with suicide emergencies always go before you), I brought some reading material. I go in and write my name, and my doctor’s name. Since everyone else on the list had«Dr. Shih», a different dr., I thought my appointment would be on time. I ended up waiting for nearly 2 hours. It was one of the longest waits I’ve ever waited at an office. Of course, I’m a very patient person(I wasn’t even thinking about Unilocaling at this point), and concluded that some patients were going to kill themselves if they didn’t see the doctor right away. I finally get called in and entered my doctor’s office, and lo and behold, HEWASNOTMYDOCTOR. He introduced himself as Dr. Shih, the man everybody was waiting for, a complete stranger I’ve never met. I will not go into detail about my exchange with him, since I can’t share my personal issues here, and needless to say, it did not that happen at the clinic that night either.(I am also not Unilocaling about him, just his office.) After my session, I asked the staff why it wasn’t my doctor; I specifically booked an appointment with my doctor. Without even a hint of apology, she told me simply that my doctor’s name and Dr. Shih’s sounded the same and my doctor was not in the office. She obviously didn’t understand that trust is vital to a patient-doctor relationship, especially in behavioral health if treatment were to be successful. Doctors cannot be INTERCHANGEABLE. They could’ve at least told me after I wrote my dr’s name on the sign-in sheet that he wasn’t there that day! It was late and I didn’t want to argue. I made my co-pay and got a receipt for my service. And now today, after repressing these bad memories of the place, I get a haunting reminder that led me here on Unilocal to review them. This was certainly my last straw. I get a billing statement from Acro saying that I didn’t make my copay for my service on 1÷7÷12. Its 4÷6÷12, already. Apparently, they will also be contacting the collectors for this copay they never told me about. Fortunately, like any good costumer, I kept the receipt, and made a copy of my bank statement which shows that the check was cashed a few days after my service!!! I’m sure there’s a law against this. That was my experience and why I rated them 1 star.
