Dr. Lee was fantastic — the most thorough optometrist I’ve ever had the pleasure of going to! I only knocked off a star because the glasses I got from here got crooked very quickly and have been loose and a struggle. It’s been a year and I love the style but I need new glasses because they’re just constantly crooked and loose.

Dr. Lee is an amazing optometrist! He is very professional, very friendly and his office is modern, clean and huge. He will not try to force you to buy anything and will treat you with the utmost respect.
If you live in the SGV you MUST come see him. My family and I will likely be coming to see Dr. Lee for as long as we live in the area! This isn’t your common ‘optometry mill’ — he and his staff genuinely care for you as a patient.

Hesitated going to a new ophthalmologist, but Dr Brian Lee was great. I’m comparing him to the previous doctor, Dr Yoshinaga, who was amazing to say the least. Since I still consider myself to have a potentially bad condition called «lattice», it was good to know I can rely on him for any issues. He performed a thorough eye exam, dilation, detected some inflammation for dry eye, and just took his time, which was important. The staff was great, office was great, the check-​in option was cool to have for a medical office, and overall experience was perfect. I also drove nearly 30 miles from Torrance, but it was worth it. Would highly recommend!

Dr. Lee is definitely as good as it gets. He’s very thorough and explains the tests and his findings and what to expect in the future regarding your eyesight. No hassles if you want to go out and shop for glasses on your own. He gives you a copy of your prescription without you having to ask for it. In the past at other optometrist’s office, I’ve had to ask for the prescription and the office made it seem like it was an insult.
He does a blood pressure test old school with a manual cuff and stethoscope. He also does a depth perception and color test. Office is new and well organized and the staff is very professional and friendly. The selection of glasses may not be as extensive as some other places but they have the name brands and most popular styles. Parking is convenient.
Definitely coming back.

I am from out of the town, I was in need of an emergency contact lens and I called 10 different optometrist and no one cared nor did they give me any pity! I read the reviews on Unilocal saying how the doctor and staff was nice so i gave them a call! Man, I was so desperate for just one pair of contact lens but the person i was speaking to was ridiculous and didn’t bother to help me. He was like, «yeah, I cant help you, you will need to speak to the doctor» well hello! if you would let me speak to the doctor then maybe i can ask him myself!” but nope! he didn’t bother helping me ask yet he kinda gave me a lot of lecturing about how most optometrist does not sell lens by pair, you will have to buy a box, etc.
Anyways, this is the type of customer service that I don’t appreciate! Whoever I was speaking to was representing this office badly! I mean. I feel like If your a doctor or working for one, your job is to care for people even if they aren’t your patient and this the type of doctor office I do not support nor will i ever support because he didn’t even give me pity when I was willing to pay for the damn trial pair lens or just a pair. But nope!!! the person I was speaking to wanted me to buy a whole box but there really was no point for me to buy a whole box when my prescription expires next month and yes, I could’ve gotten another eye exam BUT!!! i’ve been going to my eye doctor for 3 years now and he been taking care of my case!

A phone call with Brian was arranged as some problems with my vision occurred at work. He was calm and knew what questions to ask to determine what exactly the problem was. Though he ruled out a potential major issue, he gave me follow-​up steps to take in case I saw certain symptoms later and, for the time being, gave me sound advice on visiting my primary care doctor for correct treatment. I felt like I was in good hands after consulting him for his professional opinion on the situation.

I’m so happy that I found Dr. Lee. I have a re-​occurring eye condition that is very painful and I have seen several other doctors in the past. I am a cash paying customer, so I was pleased that his office fees are very affordable. Dr. Lee was also able to help me keep my prescription costs lower than would be. Dr. Lee was very professional, warm, and knew exactly how to treat my condition. I will be transferring all of my records to his continue care.

Dr. Brian Lee & staff were very professional, courteous, patient & accommodating! Every question I had was addressed with great care & consideration (I could tell Dr. Lee was also thoroughly proficient, trained & knowledgeable in the optical world, even up to all the current breakthroughs & available surgical procedures along with safety concerns), making me feel very at ease with the whole eye exam process.
The receptionist was also very kind & helpful with scheduling conflicts and questions about pricing & availability /​time needed for lens + contact orders (which are professionally quick as well!).
The eye exam was the most meticulous & comprehensive that I ever experienced! The staff cordially & patiently inquired about my health history, insurance & any other personal concerns. The equipment & office also seemed very advanced & up-​to-​date.
Dr. Lee sat down with me one-​on-​one, describing & teaching me about the progression, diagnosis, healthy habits & alternatives (corrective lenses, different types of contacts & recommended surgeries) for my severe astigmatism! Afterwards, he even personally assisted me in picking out the perfect frames for my budget, style & comfort.
Choosing Dr. Brian Lee Optometry for my optical needs is undoubtedly one of the easiest decisions I ever had to make. Everyone at the office cares about their patients /​customers! Will be back for sure & highly recommend to all my friends + family! =)

great staff and doctor

Dr. Lee was very professional and thorough. He even checked my blood pressure – does he need to do that??? He didn’t try to upsell me on more expensive frames, which is refreshing. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Another plus is he’s located by some of my favorite restaurants after buying glasses :) I’m proud to have this guy as another good «Lee» in the world.

After losing my glasses recently, I decided it was time to get my eyes checked again and get a new pair. I called Dr. Brian Lee’s office, and his staff was very friendly and helpful in getting me set up with an appointment the next day. Because they open early, I was able to come in at 8am before work.

My eye exam was the most professional exam that I have ever had at an optometrist. I could tell Dr. Lee’s staff was very experienced and knew what they were doing during the pre-​exam phase. When Dr. Lee came in, he ran a number of tests on my eyes and correctly diagnosed astigmatism in my right eye. I’ve never had an eye exam so thorough and I could tell that Dr. Lee really takes an interest in the health of his patient’s eyes. Dr. Lee and his staff also helped me find some frames that look good and helped me get all the lens options that I used to have. I plan on continuing with Dr. Lee for all of my optometry needs.

Dr. Lee gave me the most thorough exam I have ever received. I’ve had glasses/​contacts for over 20 years and have never had so many tests done to my eyes and to test my vision. You can tell he cares about this patients, takes his time, and delivers quality service every time. He’s very efficient too and has staff that write down all the measurements and numbers so he can focus squarely on the eyes.
He asked me which contacts I currently wore, and even after telling him the wrong one, he gave me a 2^nd trial pair to make sure that I ordered comfortable contacts. The contact prices were really excellent also.
It was easy to schedule an appointment, I didn’t have to wait long, and the process was systematic and efficient. I like that he opens early at 8am so I stopped by before work. However, be careful because Apple maps led me to the wrong plaza. His practice is South of Garvey after the LA Fitness if you’re coming from the North.

I was very pleased with the whole experience at Dr. Brian Lee Optometry.
The office staff as well as Dr. Lee is friendly, courteous and professional. They handled all the insurance matters. The office has a variety of frames at reasonable prices.
Dr. Lee checked my eyes and updated my prescription. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He really cared, took the time to understand my unique vision needs and about getting my prescription right. I am at an age where I use 3 pairs of glasses (I am nearsighted, need reading glasses and should protect my eyes from the sun when outdoors). Dr. Lee identified that I needed correction for my post-​lasik astigmatism in order to improve my vision and comfort.
1. He prescribed a pair of glasses I use while at work. I no longer experience the eye strain, neck aches and fatigue associated with the long hours of visual tasks on the computer.
2. He prescribed another pair of glasses for all things done when not at work. This has been perfect for traveling, because I no longer need to pack 3 pairs of glasses. I have great visual acuity when driving, sight seeing and able to read the information on a map with one pair of glasses!
I recommend Dr. Brian Lee Optometry for quality vision care, he provides the type of vision care that has a direct impact on your quality of life.

Dr. Lee is a fantastic optometrist! Totally worth the drive from the South Bay (PLUS I can go eat delicious things in Monterey Park after! Win-​win situation!) Going to the office for an eye exam is always a great experience — from the actual exam to the staff to the choice of available frames, I give it an A+! :)
I don’t really like people touching my eyes, but Dr. Lee goes above and beyond to make sure you have a comfortable experience, and that all your questions are answered. Seriously, he knows SO much — I’ve learned so much about how to take better care of my eyes since I’ve been seeing him. I can tell that Dr. Lee cares about all his patients’ eyes, and wants to make sure you get the best service possible.
The choice of glasses are also really extensive at the office — from designer (raybans!) to more affordable frames. They’re very up to date on what’s fashionable and hip, and the staff is very knowledgeable about all the different types of lenses, what’s covered by insurance, etc. (If you get a chance, you should totally try to visit with the staff who work in the front office — super nice, accommodating and all-​around terrific people.)
Anyway, all this being said — every experience has had a high level of attention and professionalism. I cannot recommend this office enough!

Dr. Lee is an awesome doctor! He is very thorough in his exams and really takes the time to listen and educate his patients. He conducts extremely comprehensive exams, screening for diseases like cataracts and glaucoma, and will make sure you can see well with your glasses or contact lenses. I highly recommend him!

I was having some issues with my eyes, so I went to go see Dr. Lee. I’m a little sensitive about my eyes, but Dr. Lee took great care and made me feel very comfortable during the exam. His staff was always very nice, and I felt right at home. I’ll keep going here for my optometry needs.
