My experience at this salon was not all that great. To start, the store/​salon has no parking so I had to park a quarter of a mile away and walk back in 99 degree weather. After I get into the salon the place was slightly stuffy with no air conditioning (not even a fan). The staff was friendly which made my one hour and twenty minute wait for Luis pleasant.
Although Luis was nearly 90 minutes late for my appointment he made up for it by spending more time working on my hair. It was a sign of worse things to come.
Luis seem to understand what I wanted and tried but I ended up with a bad hair cut. The layered sections of the bob is uneven. I also have three sections near my part where he tried to put in «texture» but ended up cutting 3 three quarter of an inch to one inch whole sections out on top of the middle of the longest parts of the bob. Luis blew my hair out and used a lot of products so I didn’t see the mistake right away. In fact, I didn’t find it until I got home and washed my hair.
It’s going to take five to six months months to grow out the shortest sections. In the meantime, I will be wearing a wide headband, scarf, or hat.
When people first saw my hair cut they would say, «what happened to your hair»?! Followed by, «who did that to you»?!
Luis is a nice guy but I ended up with his «practice» job.

Hidden gem in my area, my stylist May is awesome. she turned my dry damage hair, into a beautiful honey blonde ombré. She knows what she’s doing, she works by appointment only. I always have a fun time here because she’s a very down to earth awesome hairstylist. They have wonderful products up in front to, now I don’t have to travel all the way to sephora, they always give a bunch of free samples to. I see May every 2 months because we are gradually lightning my hair. and she cares about my hair a lot. She uses high end products for my hair and always styles it with morrocan products. Love it, Book your appt. today Pinky swear you won’t be disappointed. :) and for the ballers on a budget very reasonable priced for the time and work she puts in.

Beauty Candy Store & Spa. My friends love the gifts I bought for them. Can’t go wrong with Philosophy Gift sets, always bring a smile on everyone’s face when they open them. Amazing unique make-​ups you can’t find anywhere else. Must stop by to check out when driving on Atlantic Blvd. (near the Cascade Waterfall) in Monterey Park. I will try out the hair blow dry service when I go out to a party.

Love this place! Love the stylists, the ambiance, the coffee, the shopping. Everyone is friendly and the staff helpful. If you need a cut go to Vianey or Luis!

Amazing color– I went from brown to platinum blond w/​o damaging my hair. all thanks to Luis. He is truly one amazing hair stylist. He does color for Schwarzkopf. Very professional and nice. Many people had ask me where I got my hair done. well, Luis is the one to go to. You won’t be disappointed.

When I walk into Glique I have to wonder if I am still in Monterey Park or if I have just stepped into a posh salon in West Hollywood. This place is just amazing; it exudes quality!!! They have a never ending selection of high end products for you to choose from to keep feeling like you just got out of the salon every day! The facials by Sandra are TO DIE FOR! I was having problems with a lot of bumps on my face and she was able to get them to go away on the first visit! The extractions were not painful and I was completely relaxed!
From now on this is my one stop shop for everything salon!
