No 1 Charcoal BBQ

The checkin deal is fake. They will not give you 10% off if you checkin. And it cost more than $ 80 for 3 person. It is relatively pricy compared to other BBQ restaurant.

We ordered the chicken wings, lamb, heart, gizzard, mushrooms, pork belly and Wonton noodle soup. The chicken wings and wonton was flavorful, but the soup is bland so you have to add your own salt and pepper; unfortunately, everything else was bland and just loaded with cumin. They also don’t honor the 10% check in even though it’s still posted with no expiration/​restrictions. Wouldn’t come again.

THE WORST SERVICE ever, there is no option I can chose for NO start. That is why I pick one star of this BAD restaurant. We have 6 ppl dinner here for our friend’s birthday here tonight. And we ordered a lot of foods there, and we try to ask for the ice water for many times. Then the stupid waitress said only water no ice. Okay. So just give us water. Then she only bring one cup of water for 6 of us. WTF? Are u kidding me? Are you asking us to share one cup of no ice water for 6 ppl? Cool. You are the winner. Then she bring 6 cup of water for us ONLY once. When we out of water and trying to ask more. She ignored us. So ridiculous that no water service for customers in a restaurant.
The second thing is we ordered the intestine and they gave us Shrimp. The waitress said you guys ordered «DAXIA». We said NO. We ordered «DACHANG». She said we don’t have «DACHANG» only «FEICHANG». Okay, so just gave us that. We even didn’t touch the Shrimp. Her face just show us it is our fault. But we have 6 ppl and all heard we did order «DACHANG». So what is the problem you change the order for US? Finally, she hold our order for 10 mins then changed for us. When she put the order on the table. She said «DACHANG» as well. Lol. What so funny!
After the meal, we asked for the check. And try to show the 10% off discount on Unilocal to the waitress. She said we don’t have this promo anymore. We said why? She said no reason. We can’t remove the discount on Unilocal. They don’t let us do that. So is that the problem for Unilocal company or that is the problem of your restaurant. Speechless. After that, we all wait for the check more than 15mins. We keep ask her for the check. She ignored us. Okay. Is that mean we don’t need to pay and we can go? So ridiculous.
With the worst service, we decided pay NO tips on the table. Their service not worth for any Penny. After we left, the waitress run to us and asked us for tips. What the fuck!!! Are you fucking kidding me? How dare you to ask us get tips? Let me know what is the meaning of tips? It is base on good service, then we can leave 15%-20% tips. Look at your bad attitude and bad service, how can you ask us get tips? You guys ruin your life and the business of this restaurant. Time to fire them. Or maybe their the part of owners. That s why they can treat customers in that way. We all worked on restaurant, we never treat customers in that way. Please your girls shut the mouth off and think about what service you girls did! Please try to do better service! Otherwise, you girls ruin this restaurant. Gook Luck if the owner didn’t fire them!

Lovely place for people that want to wait an fucking hour for their dishes to come by. And I spent $ 50 just for 2 main dishes… And waited 1 hour. This place has the worse service ever and they have 4 waiter and waitresses in the front that only stands there and do nothing. This place is nasty and devastating. Everything is disgusting here. Worst taste and nothing is well cooked. 这家很难吃，等了一个小时做了黄瓜，和一碗 羊肉汤面。 面还是拖着呢。 肉还不熟。 this place either need an new hour or needs to shut down. Completely embarrassment to the asian community. Waited for 15 minutes just for an cup of water. After I sincerely asked the owner why does my food comes in like an hour of waiting siping on water. She says their is people ahead of you and yes there were people in front of me but the people behind me gets their food first? Its because your food takes longer. And I reassure to ask them for my other orders and they said they were too busy and forgot about it. Just completely great! And they were about to charge me for it. Completely needs new owners and close down this place. All the waitress did was chit chatting in the front and played with their ipads and cell phones and keep telling people that they are busy. Tbh, they dont have service and good food whatsoever. Beware!!! Goodnight, I am gonna grab something else to eat. Hungry as helllll… OMG BBQ takes an hour. OMG even kbbq takes only about 15 minutes or less or restaurants takes only about 20 minutes for all your dishes.

Good food! Long wait time. Loved the Spare Ribs. I would definitely come again. The best part is they close at 2 AM.

Tsingtao style food. Get the grilled mushroom, it absorbs the charcoal flavor. They know food here, but don’t expect to them to cater to your expectations as the food caters to a crowd of usc and ucla students that make the journey for a taste of home.

Small mom and pop place that sells skewers! Best part it’s ByOB! They focus mostly around lamb so it’s my favorite!
The spicyness is just perfect!
I usually get lamb, tendon, milk mushrooms, and spareribs! They are all so tasty! I just wish they also had beef too!
The side dishes for broccoli and cucumber is so worth it! Such a large dish and so yummy! Very good to offset the spices of the skewers!
Everyone takes about how bad the service was but for me it was great! They kept taking away the skewers and checking on the food!
Tip: order less at a time so u get it hot! We ordered so much at once and it ended up being cold because we took too long!

Service is not great… I ordered the chicken wings appetizer and also the chicken noodle soup .The chicken wing came out 30 minutes later after I finish my soup… it was tasty (two thumbs up for that) but still not wroth the wait. The chicken noodle soup the broth with so bland it tastes like just water. I could tell the ingredients pasta, egg, seaweed it there but no flavor in the brooth. Avg 13 each person

Finally tried this place, and I found it better than Yiran Grill (Garvey).
They grilled the lamb skewer using the metal stick, so I guess it’s more eco-​friendly.
The taste is OK. We tried the Chicken Gizzard, Heart, Lamb, Beef Tendon, and everything is OK.
Nothing special, but it’s worth to try since Yiran’s quality is decreasing now.

This is a nice little family owned business, but don’t expect much from them. The servers are slow and getting your food is even slower.
I came in around 12am for a midnight snack with some friends. We ordered several skewers and one of their pork soups. Everything came in waves about 15 minutes apart. The general consensus of the food… IT ALL TASTE THE SAME! From the beef, pork, chicken, and shrimp. They take the same salt/​pepper/​herb seasoning and lather it over all the meats.
They really need to mix up their menu if they want to be in business any longer. Only reason I am giving them 2 stars rather than 1 is because the soup was pretty good.

The baddesttttttt service I’ve met! The two waitresses were rude and disrespectful to my friends and me! I won’t go there anymore! And I wanna tell you guys won’t go! 这真的是我遇见过的最差的服务了！他们店里的两个女营业员服务态度都超级无敌差！保准你们去了不但饭没吃好，还倒生一肚子气！奉劝大家都别去！除非他家换服务员！！！

Worst service ever. Those two female waitress have no respect at all. I couldn’t even ask for an emputy cup. This would be my last time unless they fire those two waitresses.

Really didn’t like anything here… lamb was very tough, pork was very dry, corn was stale, dry and had seasoning caked on, pancake was dry and just plain weird, sliced bun and chicken wings are OK, those were the only 2 items I didn’t absolutely hate. Service is friendly, but doesn’t speak much English. BYOB is a nice feature. The TV/​satellite system they have is super choppy, freezes and cuts out every 5 minutes, very annoying, better off just leaving the TV off.

Ingredients are fresh and very well prepared. It takes a little long to cook but it is understandable.
On the night we visited they have oyster for special at $ 2.99 each, again, fresh and just well prepared.
A little too smoky, they should have 2 doors to the kitchen.

— they will bring your order one at a time… yess so by the time they bring the next one, your food is already cold.
— when we asked the waiter if we can seat in the patio right away he informed us,” no smoking and no drinking «and we’re ok with that because we don’t smoke and we have our 9 year old… but guess what some customers were smoking right outside the patio!

Pretty good food. We tried the BBQ Beef Tendon, Wonton Soup, BBQ Lamb, BBQ Corn, Chinese Pancake, and the BBQ Squid. It was all pretty affordable. I would order all these dishes again. The Beef Tendon was a little too chewy for me, but my mom really liked it. The flavor was good.
Of them all, the BBQ Squid was my favorite. The corn was way better than I expected — may order that each time.
Service was not too bad. The server took our order quickly and efficiently. The food came out really quickly. When I asked for something, I got the attention of a server or another staff person and my request for a box was promptly answered.
Overall, it was a pretty good experience. I came on a Monday night at around 8:00pm.

Saw an ad for a new Chinese skewers restaurant, that also offered 15% off on the menu.
We came in after they opened, mentioned the ad regarding 15% off — both on Unilocal and in
, initially, they didn’t want to honor it, but later they did after quizzing us about it??? Not good, especially if the restaurant post the ad and not wanting to honor it.
Food are TERRIBLE!!! Grilled pollack fish is not fresh but a rehydrate dried salty rubbery fish and the chili sauce that accompany the fish is salty as heck. Tasty like crap. Ribs are very chewy and fatty. Lamb, pork, and wings have no favors, very bland. Not to mention, everything taste the same cause they use the SAME seasonings on everything. For a grilled/​bbq place, there are hardly any charred or taste of charcoal on the meat.
As for service, it was pretty nonexistent, we had to literally called the waitress over for everything! We were the only table there for a long time. And she had an attitude too, anytime we asked for anything. When she brought the skewers over, she didn’t even mention what they were, just literally toss everything onto the plate and walked away.
All honesty, THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! If you want to come here and waste your money on expensive, crappie food with a rude service then this place is for you, otherwise go somewhere else. Not worth it.

环境干净 有自己风格。菜单上有的烧烤基本全点了 板筋是薄的 很入味 烤火烧外脆内软 韭菜挺耐吃 茄子是片的 腰子没太大膻味 赞一个 羊汤很淡 但是桌上有调料 可以自己加 和国内的东北烧烤味道很接近 比丰茂好吃多了
不过店里没有酒 我们自己去买的 可以在店喝

FOOD:
Good food. Love northern China flavors. I love BBQ. Lots of places over cook their squid and shrimp, not this place! Squid cooked to perfection. Their cold dishes were flavorful, including their cooked peanuts. Favorites were chicken wing, corn, then chicken heart. Boyfriend liked the lamb and the gizzard.
SERVICE:
The staff is attentive. The food comes out pretty quickly. I love the open kitchen and the clean bathrooms. Their staff wears Chinese school uniforms.
Overall concept:
Cute place, not big. capacity is approx 60 seats. Best of all… They show all Wu-​Xia films! Love it. Bringing my friends and family here. Totally recommend!
