Dr Furuichi is the best! Been his patient for ten years and have been pleased, and impressed, the entire time. Dr Furuichi’s work has stood the test of time, and his calming demeanor is a great attribute for a dentist to have.

My whole life I have been afraid of dentists; an almost irrational fear that lead me to sometimes not see a dentist for years at a time. My husband Andrew introduced me to Dr. Furuichi and I’ve been seeing him at least once a year. I am not as afraid anymore and my teeth are in good shape :). He’s skilled, compassionate and the best dentist you’ll ever fine! Thank you Dr. Furuichi!

Dr. Furuichi is good dentist! This review is long-delayed, as I’ve been seeing Dr. Furuichi for over a decade. I’ve had a smattering of other dental experiences through the years — split between private practice in DTLA and other USC dentists, mostly through availability concerns. From my experience, Dr. Furuichi is by far the best; he’s efficient, very good at explaining concepts and sharing his knowledge. Most of all, if you don’t need something, he won’t recommend it. Many dentists would rather charge you for some spurious procedure to maximize revenue, insurance reimbursables, etc. None of that here. If your problem is a sinus infection, he’ll tell you. You’ll note that other reviews on Dr. Furuichi are USC dental students, some posting anonymously. Perhaps they know better than he does. OR maybe they’ve just got some messiah complex. Whatever. He’s a good dentist.

His work is very bad. I went to him at the USC faculty practice with complete trust because I was at USC for undergrad. He gave me 2 fillings and both of them were sensitive after the procedures. I went back to him twice and told him my problems, and he kept on telling me there were no problem.(Big lies or big incompetency) Now, I’m a dental student at USC, learning what’s good dentistry and bad dentistry. And yeah. Both of the fillings he gave me are worse than what I can do as a first year dental student. The fillings are too sensitive because he drilled too deep and left the margin open so food got stuck and caries developed.(This would be an automatic F in school) If he was to be graded in school, he would get F’s in many categories. Now, I will just get these fillings redone by a classmate. I have more trust in my classmates than in him.
