Rustica Wine School

This is an interesting business run by owner Pablo.
Two friends & I attended his Wine 101 class last night, and totally enjoyed ourselves. Pablo is very knowledgeable & kept the class going at a really good pace. Covered a variety of wine-​related subjects from what is needed to create good wine, wine etiquette, to where some of his favorite local wines can be found.
The class we attended was held at Carmel Ridge Winery on Cannery Row. The class setting was great as far as location goes, and the winery is very welcoming, but it would have been much more comfortable if the stools had backs. Also, the winery was a bit loud as wine tasters floated in and out. Pablo is a soft-​spoken guy, so a more quiet area would have been a little easier for us to hear, but besides these points, it was a really good location. Loved the group size, it was five of us, plus Pablo, so we all felt very comfortable asking whatever questions throughout.
Totally recommend his Wine 101 class, am looking at possibly attending others in the near future.
