Danica, her family and staff at Tricycle Pizza catered our wedding at Holman Ranch on 3÷27÷15. Danica and Tricycle Pizza made our wedding. They were phenomenal!!! Food: Passed apps — two kinds of bruschetta, sauteed shrimp, Gorgonzola cranberry salad, 4 – 5 types of wood fired pizza, dessert — wood fired peach crumble, plus there strawberry basil lemonade which was amazing. Seriously the food was so good and we’ve had so many guests tell us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding, and some of the best pizza as well. All of the food and ingredients are fresh and organic. They even catered to our GF guests! True hosts. The set up: The Wood Fire Oven has a great look. A nice rustic feel perfect for our outdoor wedding. All of their photos online are accurate. Overall: We didn’t hire a wedding planner, we did all of the plans ourselves. The 2 things we absolutely knew we wanted. A nice venue which we got at Holman Ranch(which was amazing), and a caterer that was going to be different that your normal rubber chicken/steak/fish wedding. Tricycle Pizza were pros! Having never planned an event of this size we ran out of cups(Danica had cups for us!) They noticed we had Gluten Free guests and accommodated! We have 0 regrets about choosing Tricycle and would recommend them to anyone who wants their guests to leave full, happy, and very impressed with the service and food. Truly made our day stress free. And for a bride like me that’s a tall order! They even had two drinks ready for us after pictures and before our grand entrance. We can’t thank them enough and we hope they open up a shop somewhere soon!!! Anyone looking to book a fantastic caterer, don’t blink. Hire Tricycle…

When we were planning our wedding, we knew that we did not want to go with the traditional boring wedding food, and so we decided to go with our favorite food — Pizza! We were unsure at the time how we would pull off serving pizza at our wedding, as it was such an elegant venue, and we didn’t know what our options were. When we found Tricycle Pizza, we just knew — and they ended up being the best caterer we could have ever hoped for! Danica and her team were the most amazing team to have at our wedding and I honestly can’t praise them enough for everything they did. She is a true professional in every sense of the word and a joy to work with from start to finish. They made our wedding reception(and cocktail hour) so gorgeous, elegant, charming and joyous we were beyond thrilled at how everything worked out. Every single guest commented on how amazing the pizza was and how beautiful their set up was — it truly exceeded our expectations. Danica even had a gluten-free crust that she offered, which one of our guests(highly sensitive and allergic to everything) was able to eat and enjoy(even to her surprise — and said it was absolutely delicious!). Aside from exceeding our expectations on the cocktail hour and dinner service, Danica went so above and beyond her job that it left us in awe of her generosity and true kindness. She stepped in and helped with all sorts of things that came up for guests from silverware to extra napkins, to serving the cake and desserts, and she even had her team pack up the rental items we had, which was nowhere near her responsibility! We couldn’t believe how great she was. Danica and her entire team were so welcoming and warm, cheerful and friendly to all of the guests, and made everybody deliriously happy with their delicious pizza! I couldn’t recommend Danica enough. They were truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we will always be grateful to them for making our dream wedding come true!

I would highly recommend Tricycle Pizza to anyone looking for wonderful food for a special event. We used Tricycle Pizza for our rehearsal dinner and the food was incredible! Our guests raved about how delicious the food was but also how lovely their set up was. It felt so much classier then just pizza. Working with Danica was a breeze. She is incredibly professional and prepared for every detail. I would highly recommend them!

Danica and her team were the highlight of our wedding reception at Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley. Danica is very professional, kind and one of the best chefs/pizza makers I have ever met. She helped build a wonderful menu and was able to serve enough food for the 75+ guest. She arrived early to the reception and her team was prepared as soon as the guest arrived to have the pizzas ready to come out of her awesome wood fire oven. She uses only the best /fresh /organic ingredients. To this day we still get compliments from our guest that her pizza and service made it one of the best receptions they have ever been to. I highly recommend Danica for any event.

Saw their sign at the apt complex across from mine Friday night and walked over. Great quick service, friendly staff and amazing pizza! Bought the chicken pesto. It was so fresh and delicious. Right amount of everything. Not greesy… Just perfect brick oven pizza. I hope they come back!

We discovered Tricycle Pizza while at the Farmers Market in Pacific Grove last Monday. They say never go shopping when hungry and that is true. One whiff of the wonderful smell coming out their brick wood fired oven and we knew what we were having for dinner. My wife got the Margherita pizza, not my favorite but she loved it. I ordered the fennel sausage and wild mushroom pizza. It was fantastic. I was going to be good and only eat half… but I was bad. ;o)

The. Best. Pizza. Ever. Danica & her crew create a fresh, crispy-crusted, fragrant olive-oiled, crave-worthy pizza. I have to limit myself to one per week. Either Monday at Pacific Grove’s farmers market, or Thursday in Carmel. I’ll be out of town for the summer. I’ll miss you, Bicycle Pizza!

Danica and her team are fantastic! Tricycle Pizza catered my wedding… I could not have asked for better food, better staff or better design /«décor» of the layout of the food. Guests are still raving and craving the potatoes and raspberry pizza. I HIGHLY recommend their catering services for ANY event — 5 stars!

Dropped by the farmer’s market in Carmel and decided to grab lunch from the Tricycle Pizza. They make their pizzas in a traveling wood oven and it’s all personal sized pizza. Each pizza is $ 12, and for $ 14 you can add a drink(yesterday’s was strawberry basil lemonade). I tried the Fennel Sausage and Mushrooms pizza which was pretty good. Everything was well cooked, the ingredients seemed fresh and the flavor was outstanding. Similarly the strawberry basil lemonade was packed with flavor without being overly sweet(something I always apprecate). Overall, it was a great dining experience at a farmer’s market. I just would have liked it better if it was cheaper than $ 12 per pizza.

Tricycle catered our wedding earlier this month and we could not have been happier with how it turned out. My husband and I wanted something that was different from standard wedding food, that we could have served family style and went well with our outdoor /rustic /casual wedding. Danica is super helpful, incredibly easy to work with, responsive and eager to do a great job. Leading up to the wedding she made lots of good suggestions(wood tree trunk serving platters for the tables, ingredient additions to the salad, etc) that really helped things turn out perfectly on our wedding day. She and her team came the day before the wedding to set up their oven and do some of the prep work ahead of time. They were extremely professional and went way above and beyond what we expected. For apps they served Tuscan fennel sausage and bruschetta, both were very good. Danica also made a special salad that is not on the standard Tricycle menu but was excellent. Our guests raved about the pizza(we had 5 kinds — pepperoni, caramelized onion, pesto arugula, prosciutto and Brie and margarita) and all were great. Guests told me after the wedding that her staff was also extremely accommodating about special dietary requests that a couple of guests had. I am so happy that we found Danica and that Tricycle catered our wedding!

I have to agree with Emily. I picked up a Margherita Pizza at the Pacific Grove farmers market, and it was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had – including the ones from New York City. If you’re a cheese lover and want your pie smothered in gooey dairy product, this is NOT the pie for you. This one’s largely about the crust(and oh what a crust it is!), and about balance. Service was fast – I was told it would be about six minutes. I went & did a little shopping, came back, and they were just finishing it. It came out of the oven looking a bit naked, a red-orange color with some small dots of cheese. They drizzled some olive oil on it, placed a generous amount of basil leaves on the hot pie, and handed it over. My first thought upon opening the box – «Where’s the cheese?» Well, it didn’t need a lot of cheese. The crust, slightly blistered from the hot wood-fired oven, was the perfect combination of crunchy & chewy, combining the best qualities of fresh baked pizza & fresh baked bread. There was just enough sauce to make it tangy; a bit sweet, but in a good way. The fresh basil &OVOO put it over the top – not greasy, as you get with some some thin crust pies(think Pizza My Heart), but light – and most importantly, DELICIOUS.

Finally had a chance to taste their pizza at the Marina Farmer’s Market. I had the Margherita pizza. It was delicious. It had a nice thin crispy crust, flavor was excellent. I would say it is one of the best authentic pizzas in this area. I sampled a piece of their blue cheese pizza with caramelized onions. I’m not a blue cheese fan but it was good. Next time I’ll try the pepperoni. I know it won’t be disappointed. I also tried their strawberry w/basil lemonade. It was refreshing and not sweet. It had just a touch of basil. It will be a favorite now with my pizza.
