This past weekend I was at the Americana Fest at the fairgrounds in Monterey. I just finished a few beers and really was in the mood for bbq. I ordered the Tri-​tip sandwich. Oh wow, it was super dry, & no flavor, but I was starving so I was planning on finishing it, until I saw a LONG HAIR IN MY SANDWICH!!! When I complained to the owner ken, just hoping for my $ back or another item on his menu, he seemed like he was so wasted he couldn’t comprehend what I was saying. Once he understood what I said, he got very defensive and accused me of lying, trying to get free food, etc… Really un-​professional, & un-​sanitary. Not worth your money or your time. Unfortunately the food was not as good as it looked & neither was the business they were trying to conduct. very disrespectful to paying customers!

I saw his sign when I passed by one afternoon. I got the half rack of ribs after looking over his menu.
Meh…was all I can say about it.
The BBQ sauce tasted pretty good but the ribs weren’t very tender.

Well that was the best Tri-​Tip sandwich I’ve had since i moved up here. I saw the other review on Unilocal here and happened to drive by his stand today. Very glad I did. Highly recommend!
