Blazing Bagels

Their homemade salads such as chicken, tuna, and egg are just super. The bagels are always fresh. However, there is a young guy that makes awesome homemade pesto. I get nothing else now except for an incredible sandwich made up of fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, mayo, extra pesto and olive oil on a toasted salt bagel. It is the absolute best. I am only giving them three stars because they do not allow you to leave a tip for the always friendly staff on your credit card. I absolutely can not stand that!

Best bagels, sandwiches and salads I have had in along time. I consider myself fortunate to live in the area and how conveniently located they are to me.

Very good bagels and a really nice menu for daily specials. Brought a bakers dozen & variety of cream cheeses into a customer meeting and were very well-​received by the customers. I didn’t get to have any during my meeting so I went back to get a bagel sandwich for lunch, and I’m glad I did. Staff was really accommodating as well, very nice. Good job all-​around!

Blazing Bagels has really good bagels. They are the only bagel shop in montgomery that has lox. The bagels here are really good.
They are located in a small strip mall. The staff is friendly. They aren’t my favorite bagel place in NY but they make really good bagels. They have everything from plain bagels to cinnamon. I do not know if they ave any gluten free options i did not ask. You can order breakfast sandwiches here. You can also get little cartons of chocolate milk like you had in school.
The only complaint i had was it took forever for my bacon egg and cheese. I ordered 3 bagles with cream cheese. 1 bagel with lox and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. everything was ready in 4 min except the bacon egg and cheese. It took a good 5 min after i got the bagels to get the egg sandwich.
I did go here at 8:30am on a saturday. The store itself was not crowded.
Overall. If you are in Montgomery. Stop by Blazing bagels for breakfast you will not be disappointed.

Would drive 12+hrs for these bagels! In fact, we did…
We visited Blazing Bagels because we were staying in nearby Wallkill, NY on vacation. We came from NC, where there are no good bagels to be had. Oh sure, we have chain stores like Bruegger’s Bagels, and more recently a few Dunkin Donuts sprinkled here & there. But if you’ve ever lived up North, you know that that just will not do. The South East is a veritable bagel desert, with not even a mirage of good bagels to keep you going ;)
We knew we wanted to load up on good gluten & carbs while we were in NY. And more importantly, bring some home to our originally from NJ, but relocated to NC family.
So we checked out Unilocal,saw the across the board stellar reviews and decided it was worth a drive.
Did not disappoint!

The in house made cream cheese is phenomenal! Scallion and garlic and the jalapeño were my favorites. My daughter tried a sweeter one, blueberry and loved it.
The everything, onion, poppyseed and plain bagels were delicious. Fresh, soft (but not squishy, just a perfect hint of ‘give’ when squeezed) and smelled heavenly too!
My husband has an Instagram account promoting small business owners across the USA. It’s called: small_​business_​stories. He briefly interviewed one of the owners, Jerry Privatera, asking «What’s your secret?»
Jerry’s answer was simple yet profound: «Just taking your time and doing it right.»
We saw (and tasted!), firsthand, the truth of those words.

I have never ever ever been disappointed with the bagels here! Everything with scallion cream cheese is amazing! Just thinking about it makes my mouth salivate!!!
Born and raised in NY but I travel a lot… every time I have ever come back to the OC, this shop is a usual stop!!!

Their bagels are good. The staff can’t get an order straight for 3 different bagels with 3 different spreads.

I would given 4 stars but the manager has attitude issues. I’ve also heard this drom other patrons. This is why I won’t go back.

Best bagels in the area, hands down. I’ve tried many of the others, but I always wind up jonesing for a Blazing bagel. They are crispy and chewy, not to mention ridiculously tasty. I’ve had the plain, multi-​grain, jalapeño and French toast, though there are tons of other flavors to choose from. You can’t go wrong. Oh, and their chicken salad is one of the best I have ever had in my life. Breakfast sandwiches are great as well.
There are often pretty long lines, but don’t let it deter you. The girls behind the counter are quick. And remember… there’s a line for a reason!
Also, a helpful hint: Every two weeks, we stock up with a dozen bagels and freeze them. Pop them in the microwave for 30 seconds and they’re nearly as fresh as the day you got them!

An unassuming little hole-​in-​the-​wall gem. Walk into this weird, lopsided room (next door to the nail salon) and you will find perfect, perfect bagels at good prices made fresh every day by very nice people. Take a cinnamon bagel home, toast it, and apply peanut butter. Consume with espresso.
Mmm.

Good bagels and you don’t have to drive into NYC. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. The only problem I have is they have no whole wheat bagel just multigrain. I never been to a bagel shop that doesn’t carry whole wheat bagels.

Best fresh bagels ever!!! Yummy home made cream cheese too. The soups are home made and DELISH. You won’t be sorry that you ate here.
Also, I love getting a bacon, egg and cheese on a hard roll.
Any way you slice it, this place is the best!!!

Every time my uncle comes down from Montgomery, NY, I always ask if he is bringing bagels. Their bagels have the optimal mix of outside firmness and inside sponginess. Their true value lies in their store made cream cheeses — their Ranch cream cheese had me at hello. If you’re in the area, definitely stock up on bagels and their variety of cream cheeses.

5 stars is not enough.
I live a good 20 minutes away and saw the reviews on Unilocal and decided it was worth the drive to give it a shot. (I am a bagel junkie) So this morning I headed over.
Instantly i had a good feeling because the place was packed. I never mind a longer line its always a good sign (the line moved quickly) The girl at the counter was very nice and friendly she seemed to know everyone else’s regular order (very endearing) I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese and a plain bagel with butter. Both were INSANELY delicious. My mom said it was the best one she’s ever eaten.
I honestly think my only complaint is the distance from my house because I know i’m going to be making the trip at least once a week. I can’t wait to go back!

Change for the worse.

Best coffee EVER. I don’t know what brand they use, but it’s the greatest. I stop in here so often, the staff knows exactly what my order is before I even step up to the register. And a medium coffee costs only a $ 1.50. A $ 1.50! Beat that, Starbucks!

great cream cheeses, and unbelievable crumb cakes. the bagels are fresh and if you are lucky with your timing, you can get them warm!
and the best hot chocolate around, also.
