Unilocal reviews says it was«casual,» but it seem pretty fancy. We didn’t eat here because our little ones was with us. We told the hostess that we will come when the kids aren’t with us. She insisted the menu can be made kid friendly. It wasn’t the food, more like if the kids were to be cranky and loud interrupting everyone dinner. The hostess said, «as long as they can behave.» LOL! Sorry, I can’t promise you that… so we left.

My sister and I dropped in for Sunday brunch; both the service and food were exceptionable. The spinach crepes with feta cheese were melt in your mouth delicious. My sister loved the green sauce served with the veggie omelet. Warm and friendly environment!

An enjoyable experience. The place has nice ambiance and is comfortable. A nice change of pace in an area that doesn’t have a whole lot of options. I will go again. I had the red snapper with julienne veggies cooked in parchment paper. It was very tasty. My dinner partner had the buffalo burger. His first. He said it was good but nothing special about buffalo and would prefer a regular burger next time. But the bison burger LOOKED amazing on a yummy roll with mushrooms and onions and cheese. Very juicy. They offer some interesting beers which is fun and a good wine list. Our waitress Annie was very friendly and attentive. It was raining the night we went so we ate inside but there is a nice covered dining patio out back. Would be a nice place for a meal on a good day! Our dinner and two beers(passed on dessert) was $ 50 with a tip.

Two of us went here on a beautiful Saturday for an early afternoon lunch. I asked to sit at the table for three as it was positioned in front of the window. The greeter said we had to sit at a table for two in case three people came in.(There was no one sitting in the restaurant at the time). I’ve never been turned down a table request with the restaurant empty. There is an outdoor patio, perhaps others were seated outside. We both ordered the green chicken enchiladas, white rice and black beans. My pulled chicken enchiladas had small bone, gristle and fat in the meat. The food tasted freshly made though. I think it’s a bit pricey and would like more menu choices. I doubt that we will return, but I would suggest to try it.

Ventured to the Cozy Grape on a Sunday afternoon-drawn in by the dog friendly outside area, which was a very nice covered deck. Service was spot on and personable. They had a brunch menu as well as their regular menu available. I originally ordered the mushroom crepes, but they were a little too on the oily/creamy side for me(my cousin loved them though). My second order, chicken soup, was surprisingly tasty and complex in flavor. Hubby enjoyed his Tuscany panini and cousin #2 really liked his Enchiladas Tejanas. None of us were drinking, but they had a nice, extensive wine and beer menu. After our meal we just sat for a while and talked-the atmosphere was great and there was no pressure to move quickly. I definitely recommend a meal at Cozy Grape if you are in the area.

My wife and I really enjoyed our brunch at this restaurant. When we first walked in there was no one there, but that was because everyone was outside on the patio enjoying the beautiful day. I ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict and it was amazing. My wife ordered the spinach crepes and they were tasty. We would highly recommend this restaurant when in the area.

The weather outside is beautiful so I couldn’t pass up giving this place a try seeing how they have a great back patio! I was not in the mood for wine(seeing how I am on my way to an Oktoberfest) but their wine menu looked spectacular. The food was delicious! I would come here again and again. My boyfriend got the green sauce chicken enchiladas. My boyfriend is a die hard Berryhill enchilada fan and he use to insist they had the best enchiladas… until he ate the ones from Cozy Grape! I had the Turkey Panini. It was fantastic and had the best olive spread on it. I would recommend coming here to anyone who passes through Montgomery. Also lots of cool shops around it to walk off your fullness after!

I have been several times and would have written a very good review previously. However the last time I went it had really fallen down in quality. I took my brother-in-law to the Cozy Grape and the filet mignon(which I had previously raved to them about) was not good — not cooked as we ordered and the meat was sub-standard. I guess they are down grading their supplier. The escargot was so-so. When the food was good, I never complained about the price, but now — $ 145 for three people — that is ridiculous. I won’t go back.

Best kept secret in these parts. They’re filet mignon is perfection and melts in your month. We’ve never been disappointed with any of their entrees.

I’m really happy to have found this place. We were visiting for 2 weeks from out of state and were having a hard time finding a consistently GOOD place to eat. Well this is the place. So far I have tried the enchiladas, buffalo burger, pesto shrimp pasta, and the cheese cake. The enchiladas aren’t coated in salt, so if you want a Mexican style dish without all the salt this is a good choice. The buffalo burger(medium rare w/avacado) was orgasmic, it lasted less than 2 minutes on my plate. The pesto shrimp pasta was really flavorful, so if you want a stronger flavored dish and like shrimp, this is a good choice. Finally the cheese cake, light and fluffy, not a cheap tasting over sweetened slab you usually find in a grocery store.

Love this place especially the patio. My favorite lunch entrée is chipotle chicken tostadas. They are also served for dinner and are super yummy and filling I cannot eat it all. Tanner is a great server. Super attentive, knowledgable and friendly

The absolute best place to eat around the lake. The menu is great and so are the daily lunch and weekend specials. The brunch is unlike anything else even close to Montgomery. The enchiladas with the fried egg on top are amazing and so are the omelettes and crepes. The French onion soup is a must try anytime. Staff are friendly and knowledge about the food and wine. Like the name says, it’s a cozy atmosphere and a refreshing change from all the same restaurants we have had around here.

We tried the brunch and it was ok. I guess I had high expectations with all the wonderful reviews I had read. Our waitress was new but had to have been new to waiting tables all together so unfortunately the service was not good. I tried the Tuscany omelette and was not impressed. My husband tried their crab cake egg bendict and he said it was so so. We had ordered coffee in addition to our waters and for our appetizer had the baguettes. We finished our appetizer and still had no coffee. Then our food arrived and still had no coffee. We told her to cancel the coffee. I feel like the portions are a bit small for the price. I would be open to trying lunch or dinner but would prefer somewhere else for brunch.

This is an awesome place to eat and enjoy a good glass of wine in Montgomery. We enjoy the food and wine selection. They have an awesome menu selection. The escargot is wonderful. I’ve never had anything bad on the menu at all! The wine selection is outstanding as well. We enjoy sampling their different offerings anytime we are here. They have a nice restaurant area, intimate bar area, and wonderful outdoor seating. This is a definite favorite in Montgomery.

My favorite restaurant in town! I haven’t had anything bad on the menu! However, my favorite are the fish tacos! They are the best I’ve ever had! Very good crab cakes. You must get the cheesecake with the caramel sauce! They do have brunch on Sundays. I’ve only been once. I had a delicious omelet and mimosas! The place is adorable with a huge back patio! They have it enclosed and heated for the winter and open with fans for hot days! They may be misting fans… I can’t remember! You will not be disappointed at the cozy grape!

Ok let me start by saying the first 5 to six times here we only ate brunch on Sunday and ordered the crab cake Benedict. This includes two home made slider buns; one with crab cake and one with shaved ham and both with pesto, a perfectly poached egg, killer hollandaise sauce and some potatoes on the side. Service is always great and the wait was never bad. We FINALLY had dinner here and it was also stellar. One night the special was ribeye cooked over charcoal with blue cheese butter. This was the second best steak I’ve ever eaten(first being from Longhis in honolulu). They have great craft beers from around the United states and more wine to choose from than I care to mention. One other item to NEED is the French onion soup. It is a light colored base somehow and I dare you not to lick the bowl. Oh and if you are lucky enough to find tres leches as the special you should do it. I have to give it four stars for lack of options. The menu is a little small. There are literally more beers to choose from than meals. And I frickin love beer.

This is a brunch review. We went for brunch today and were amazed at how good the food and value is. Similar to other upscale places that have ventured into the brunch realm, they have a limited menu of foodie-centric dishes, but they are very reasonable and delicious. We had the shredded chicken omelet and Tuscany omelet, both priced at $ 11 and both outstanding. Each omelet came with a side of fruit which was a terrific mix of oranges, grapes, apples and strawberries(no crummy melon!). We wouldn’t bring our six year old here, but for adults, this is a total winner!

Like the name suggests, this is a very cozy little restaurant! I would suggest making reservations. My husband and I didn’t know to make any, and we were made to feel a bit dumb for our oversight, but they somehow managed to «squeeze» us in anyway, despite there being a few empty tables. Inside the décor borders on romantic, but it’s not exactly private as there is only one main dining room with no real way to escape what’s going on at the other tables. The wine list was pretty extensive for such a small place — definitely did not expect that considering the types of wines served in most Conroe/Montgomery area establishments. No Barefoot or boxed wine to be found here, yay! We started with the escargot($ 10). It was served in a warm lemon butter sauce and baguette slices for sopping up the sauce — very tasty, but definitely a calorie splurge. In lieu of an entrée, I had the goat cheese salad($ 11), which was quite filling for a ‘side’ salad and topped with sliced almonds and a generous amount of goat cheese — YUM! My husband had a chicken dish that was featured the night of our visit, which was served with mixed veggies and mashed potatoes. It was about as good as you can expect a grilled chicken breast to be — not my personal favorite and a tad expensive for a somewhat basic chicken entrée($ 16, I think), but he enjoyed it nonetheless. Next time we plan to try the shrimp scampi appetizer($ 11). A table next to us ordered it, ate it up, and then ordered a second, so it must be very good! We each had a pint of the local brew($ 5) — Southern Star’s Pine Belt Pale Ale — during dinner, and we shared a glass of tawny port($ 10) with a slice of Cheesecake factory cheesecake($ 5) for dessert. I love a good port and, again, I was surprised to see one on the menu here. Although I feel that most of the items we ordered were priced at least a dollar or two higher than they should have been considering, it was a nice meal and we’ll be adding it to our Montgomery/Conroe date night rotation.
