Olde Dobbin Station is by far one of the best wedding venues I’ve experienced. As a wedding photographer I’ve worked at hundreds of locations and I’ve seen it all! The modern elegance with a rustic twist makes this venue extremely pleasing to the eye. These guys cater to outdoor and indoor weddings so you don’t have to stress about rain or cold/hot weather. The staff at Olde Dobbin all run a tight ship and are very kind and down to earth. Carrie and Brittany are both super accommodating and know how to handle any issues that may arise. They’re both so sweet and a joy to work with. If you’re doing an outdoor ceremony there’s a small chance a loud train could storm by, but it’s part of the experience(the venue is an old train station) and everyone always laughs it off. I highly recommend this place!

My wife and I just tied the knot 2 weeks ago here and it was AMAZING! The facilities on site provided everything she and I needed; bridal suite for her to get ready with her bridesmaids, separate shaded building for beautiful photos, and absolutely stunning main hall for the reception. It may not be important to some, but the bathrooms were spotless, AC was KICKIN which is a must in August, and the hall was perfectly sized! The bar on site was wonderful and they use exceptional bar staff. The list of their recommended vendors is spot on, and a majority of our vendors came from that list. I would recommend ALL of them!

A\C is under tonnage… gets really hot… everyone was sweating… two separate rooms creates two totally different receptions going on at the same time. Food was mediocre at best.

Sept 2014 wedding. We love the setting, owners, and staff! They were prompt in answering our questions, provided valuable input, and are fairly priced. ‘ODS’ is not an all inclusive wedding venue but, those who know what they want and are willing to put in the effort will have a great experience! Also, your day is just that; not shared with another event waiting for you to leave. Plenty of options for out of towners to stay at on nearby lake Conroe. Great country venue for any occasion in a wonderful setting! Mitch & Tiffany.

This is a great venue for a wedding. There is an outdoor and an indoor area. For the wedding I attended, the ceremony was in the outdoor area and the reception was in the indoor area, but I’m assuming you could do it however you preferred. The only drawback with the outdoor area is obviously the weather. But it has the potential to be beautiful, with lots of natural light. The indoor area, where the reception was held is very large, perfect for having a dance floor and a seating area. There is also a spacious bar. The only drawback I see to this venue is the location. It’s kind of remote, which is fun, but could maybe confuse your guests or cause them to be late.

I first ran across Olde Dobbin at the Bridal Extravaganza. I love the look of this venue and was recommended to check it out by a family member who is friends of the«owners.» When visiting the booth, the woman I spoke with acted like she just did not want to be there. When I made the mistake of asking when they will open, she acted offended and responded with a rude tone of voice with saying they have been open for a year already. While I was in the area of Dobbin on Sunday, my parents and I decided to stop by just to look at the grounds. There were no more than 3 cars in the parking lot and of course we would never dare to interrupt a wedding if we saw signs there were one. I know the stress of a bride, I am one! After no more than a minute of stepping out of the car, the«manager»(which I believe is the same one I spoke to at the Extravaganza) came out of the building and informed us that there was a wedding planned«later» that day and they are not doing tours. We responded«Not a problem at all, we were in the area and just thought we’d stop by, but we completely understand». After stating we understood and were walking away, she continued to imply«I am going to have to ask you all to leave««NOW»» with a snicker and a wink as if we hadn’t gotten the memo already. Now, as a prospective bride, her reaction was completely uncalled for and unnecessary. If she would have been welcoming and nice by offering her card and saying but please call me so I can gladly show you around, then I might still be considering this place just because of the appearance. But at this point, I would certainly not want that manager, who comes off very rude; to be helping me with what is supposed to be the happiest day of my life. So the stressful search goes on.

My sister just had her wedding here this past weekend and it was stunning. The venue is so romantic and the photo ops were endless. Every guest in attendance remarked on how unique and beautiful the venue was. Corbin, the manager, is a truly sweet person and is extremely helpful! I can’t say enough good things about this place. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

Off the beaten path, why yes! Possibility of getting lost while attempting to locate this venue, very possible! An incredible piece of history turned into a beautiful venue for all your special occasions, yes indeed! Olde Dobbin Station, is just that, old structures dating back to the 1900s, I’m assuming restored to their once living breathing look and feel, but still leaving a bit of rustic heritage behind. I’m a sucker for history, and this place had my heart won over almost instantly. The ceremony was located in what looked like an old storage building, completely brick and mortar and fully open to allow natural light to illuminate its stone insides(with that in mind note it may be cold so you may be looking to give up your sunlight seats to the highest bidder, or hope for a short but sweet ceremony). Situated in the middle of the outside ceremony edifice and the actual reception/banquet hall sits a very quaint vintage Bridal Cottage(sadly I did not get to admire the inside). The Banquet/reception building where I spent most of my duration of the wedding shenanigans is equally beautiful. A large solid wooden door(mind you this sucker is heavy takes a bit of oomph to move) gives way to a large, spacious building lit up by vintage inspired yet modern day chandeliers. Again the restoration of these buildings still leaves behind the look and feel of the history and times past, absolutely beautiful. Another set of wooden doors located towards the far end of the building leads out to a bonfire and a view of open field and woods. If you happen to stroll along the cement paths that surround the venue you will come across what looks like a small pond/man-made lake situated at the end of the path. Overall a beautiful Venue to celebrate one of life’s special occasions.
