Peter Nail Salon

I just went to this salon for the first time today and I had a great experience. I went in for a pedicure and wax (eyebrows). I only waited a short time before being seated and taken care of. The massage chair was nice, prices were very reasonable and the owners/​employees were friendly. The only reason I am giving 4 stars and not 5 is because the décor/​ambiance was outdated. I would definitely recommend this salon to a friend!

Started out great, ended very disappointed. Had my nails done, like pink and white but clear and red. Everything was going well until I noticed he wasn’t taking the clear all the way to the cuticle. When I mentioned this all he would say is, «It be fine, it be fine». But it wasn’t and he didn’t fix it.
They only had 1 color red and it was speckled red and white looking powder. I asked if it was sparkles and he said no. He finished the red, buffed them out and I’m not joking, the nails were nearly ¹⁄₈ of an inch thick. I told him oh no these are way to thick. He says, you want thinner, yes, and he takes my hand and starts to grind on the UNDERSIDE of my natural nail with the dremel. I said, oh hell no, and took my hand away and told him to thin the topside where he put the powder.
It was a mess, he got mad. The color is speckled red and clear. It like when you are using spray paint and you run out, the last few squirts just speckle. I told him the color wasn’t solid and he Said…“you pick color, you pick color”. Yes I did, it was the only red you had and I picked it ff a color wheel. Then he says, «You want do over?» Ah, No, I don’t.
So no surprise here, but I will never go back.
