It’s a gas-station convenience store, so your lunch means just crackers and soda, right? Nope. They’ve got a great grill and can make sandwiches to order. Hamburger? Wings? Something a little more unusual. They always have a great special, perfect to take on the road or to sit at one of the two small inside tables and listen to the locals talk. The couple that own the place are very friendly, and it’s a great stop if you just need a quick bite. If you want a beer, though, you’ll have to take it to go — they don’t have an on-premises license.

Solid gas station/convenience store in Montgomery by Jay Peak that also has beer and wine. They also happen to have a deli that serves up sandwiches(including breakfast) and pizza. A Vermont deli sounds suspect to me, but I didn’t mess with the food, so dabble if you will. I picked up some snacks, as well as some hand warmers and all was good in the world.
