Walked in, looked at buffet and walked out. At 530pm on a Sunday the food looked like it had been there for hours.

I’ve no idea why the two previous reviews were so negative. I’m career Army and often dine here and we’ve hit all the buffets in town. This little buffet is in my opinion the best in Montgomery for true value. The daily buffet is $ 5.99. The food selection is broad and it’s always always fresh and hot. Give them a try, they deserve a chance and as I write, I’ve fed 3 adults to great satisfaction for $ 22.60 with drinks. We will be back… often.

Me and my Mom went there Aug. 21, ’15 for the first time. Just decided to try them out. First of all the place was empty with the exception of two people. Their rating was 91 which I was wondering why the low A. Their buffet was $ 8.95 which it wasn’t worth it. Most of the foods didn’t have no seasoning or a little and some of the foods I ate wasn’t hot. Example, I had some Mussels that tasted like to me like eating a can of oysters from the grocery store and I found two items I like which it isn’t a good sign and Mom found 2 items she liked which isn’t a good sign out of alI of the few other items they had on the bar. I mean if you going to pay $ 8.95 for the buffet at least I expect good hot food that you don’t mind paying for that price. I might as well went to Hibachi Sushi even though they’re a dollar more but you would at least enjoyed bigger varieties of food that you’ll be more happy with more than one item not to waste food on. The cooks at Yong Ye Buffet needs to change something in their foods and find other solutions in ordered for more people to keep coming to eat your food, because so far it’s not looking good and they won’t be there very long. I hated when Crazy Buffet went out of business that was there before them even though they didn’t have a big variety like at Hibachi, I did enjoyed eating their foods. So at Yong Ye’s, it’s not worth the money and it’s the last pitstop for us going there. It wasn’t that good.

They had a grand opening on April 27th. My son and I decided to try them out a few days afterwards for dinner. The place was nearly empty. The food apparently sat for quite a while because it was either cold or so hard that you couldn’t bite into it. The variaty was small. The meat dishes were, such as the pepper steak or chicken had a strange consistency. The flavors had much to be desired. We don’t believe in wasting food and we sincerely tried to eat what we got, but we just couldn’t. It was really that bad! I wish them luck, but they can count us out as future customers.
