My family and I order for take out once every few weeks at Giuseppe’s. We love the mad cap and the pizza! Very fresh and tasty every single time. Thanks Giuseppe’s!

The service is always great, we have tried a good portion of the menu. If we aren’t eating in we are calling in for Pizza.

I walk around the area and this place is my go to place. The lunch here is to die for. Great portions and great quality. Chicken Parmesan with a side salad for $ 5.95(wheres the profit in this?). Or try the chicken fettuccine and once again the portions are crazy!!! Love this place!!!

Love their food. My only issue is they don’t pack to-go boxes well. I went twice, and was given scalding hot food in nothing more than tin foil and a plastic bad. Neither time was I given a friendly reminder. Most restaurant use better containers than they do. And if they don’t, the employees usually let the customer know.

Experienced pizza here for the first time yesterday for lunch. I added some spicey marinara sauce and it was splendid but, I had to wait too long to be served as our very popular waitress was busy chit-chatting with the«regulars» she kept forgetting my table, and apparently forgot how to count back my change, overcharging me by close to ten bucks, so I can’t say I’m in a hurry to return even though the pizza was good!

Wonderful white cheese pizza! Very comfortable place to enjoy a huge salad and a pie. Busy, it is true, on weekend evenings in particular(and most days of the week). Worth the wait and take out is always an option.

The pizza was ok. Ingredients seemed a bit canned. The service was pretty poor for a Friday night. Took a long time for someone to take our order(party of 2) and another couple came in, stood by the door for w while and then rightly gave up and left. We ordered a side of wings. They were the most dry and sad little things I’d seen In a while. I’ll say the beer list looked pretty interesting but I was driving so all I did was look. I hope I just caught them on an off night because I really wanted the place to be a local treasure.

I’m the pastry chef at the bakery next door. I treat the girls who work the front to lunch and order a pizza for us to share a couple of times a month. The best margherita pizza. Try it. It’s always perfect and we all love it.

Giuseppe’s pizza consists of a thin layer of crust, a thinner layer cheese, and a tiny dab of sauce in between. Now, I don’t know about you, but I love pizza with substance: Thin crust, a healthy proportion of sauce, and an even healthier proportion of cheese. Here(at least tonight) the pizza tasted like a glorified cracker. It was over-cooked, the cheese was brown and the crust was too crispy. It was a chore that overworked my jaw in a less than positive way. The lasagna, however, is good. The quality of the pizza simply does not justify the price. The 16″ cost $ 16.99 and is supposed to feed«3−4». I split the pie with one other person and I’m still hungry. The frosting on top of tonight’s cupcake was that it was freezing inside. I was wearing a sweater and a leather jacket, and it was still so cold. The fan was on and the AC was blowing right above me. I get the whole keep it cold so the guests don’t linger thing, but it was just too cold.

The garlic balls are delish. However, this place has GOT to hire more staff. The 1 stressed-out waitress turning customers away because she’s so overwhelmed doesn’t make me want to come back any time soon. Our food took forever and the dishes all came out at random times. We heard a table next to us get served garlic balls when they had ordered garlic fries, and before the waitress took the garlic balls back to the kitchen, she asked if they touched them. Wouldn’t be surprised at all of those were the same garlic balls we later got served.

Based on the common theme of incredibly poor service I see in prior reviews, I’m not sure it’s worth posting our experience from this evening, since nothing seems to be changing in that regard. I’m so annoyed with this place, however, that I’m going to give it a try. First off, we have been here a few times in the past and the service has always been so-so. When we walked in, there were only a couple of small groups, so we figured the service would be okay. Man, were we wrong. The waitress came over relatively quickly and we ordered our meal and drinks. Five minutes later, she returned and asked what we had ordered. Seems she forgot… Which is why you write stuff down… We got our salad order within five minutes, and all we were waiting for was a small, individual pizza… 45 minutes later we were still waiting. In the meantime, several larger groups came in and the place turned into a madhouse. Loud clanging, kids yelling, etc. My wife finally went to find the waitress, who had never come back to see if we needed refills or tell us what was going on with the pizza. Since we had been there nearly an hour by this point, she asked the waitress to put our pizza in a box so we could get out of there. During this time, the groups that came in way after we had began getting their piping hot pizzas delivered to their tables! Just when I thought I couldn’t get any more annoyed, a second waitress came over with our bill and began arguing with us about how long we had been there. When I asked her if she really thought we were receiving adequate service, she simply shrugged her shoulders and walked away. A few minutes after, our original waitress walked by and said something about the pizzas getting«backed up,» and ours would be right out(it wasn’t). Mind you, by this point, everyone in the place had received their food except us, and we had been there long before any of them. Once our pizza finally arrived in a box, I told the waitress that this had been the WORSTSERVICE I have ever experienced in my entire life. We also told her that we would NEVER step foot in the place again. She shrugged her shoulders(must be how they train them) and walked away. Based on the responses from both employees, it’s my guess they get told that quite a bit. Like I said, based on the other posts I see, it probably doesn’t matter too much that I’m writing this, since absolutely nothing seems to change. If the service is slow and inattentive and rude, who cares how the food tastes? I plan on keeping promise on this one, and will never step foot in there again. Hint to management: an apology from either of the two rude waitresses would have gone a long way in retaining customers.

Ordered pizza to be delivered tonight for my grandpas birthday party. My mom had tried this place once before and really liked it. The guy that took my phone order originally told us it would be 45 minutes. Ten minutes later they called back and said it would be an hour and 15 minutes. After an hour and 20 minutes we called and they said it was on the way. An hour and 30 minutes later the driver called and was lost. I grant you it was raining and this was our first order so they had never been to this address before. Here is the kicker. The driver finally got there and walked up to the door with our 4 Large pizzas vertical not horizontal. My family was so upset they asked him to come in and look at the 4 smashed pies. I cant even review the food because of the state it arrived in. Long story short there was no manager to talk to when we called and someone there did the right thing by calling us back to tell us there would be no charge.

I went out with a few buddies for their monthly pizza and beer night, and their usual spot was having some kind of issue, so we ended up at Giuseppe’s. I wasn’t expecting much, because that’s been my SoCal pizza experience for 15 years, and now that I live back east, it’s only amplified. What a nice surprise I had in store. First of all — our server was very friendly, more than attentive, and helpful with our ordering. I started off with a small antipasto. It was decent size, and well stocked with all the essential, delicious, meat and cheese, but, it had far too much dressing for my taste. That’s about the only slightly negative part of my experience. I split a «The Guiseppe’s» from the specialty pizzas menu with my buddy. In my opinion, this is one of the best pies I’ve had in California. The crust was crisp, with a snap on the bottom perfect. It’s slightly thicker than the thin crust New Haven/NY style but not as thick as the Greek style I grew up with in Rhode Island. I found it to be a perfectly executed combination. The sauce was also full of flavor, which was another great surprise, since so many SoCal joints miss on this very important part of good pizza. The actual slices of meatballs and sausage were well flavored and a far superior choice to the crumbled mess many places serve, while the pepperoni rounded out the meat trifecta nicely. We managed to get our beer and wine order in just in time to qualify for happy hour, so it made it that much more fantastic! I’ll go so far as to say that Guiseppe’s would do just fine in the northeast — which it’s quite possible, are words I’ve never used to describe a pizza joint in SoCal.

Food was good but atmosphere very noisy with one table of energetic boys who do not have«indoor voices», coupled with dishes and pans crashing almost constantly. Ravioli initially served cold, replacement order was heated but served on a cold plate, sucking the heat out of the food, and served without a fork. Had to get the attention of the server to get one after trying to eat the Ravioli with only a knife. Took awhile to get a refill for a fountain beverage, just gave up when my own went empty. Well respected place, but definitely not good for a peaceful lunch.

3.75 stars. Positives: –garlic fries, they actually taste like garlic… delicious and taste very home-made. –Service was ok(let’s just call it a positive). Waiter could be more attentive, especially since it wasn’t busy at all. –they’re generous with the ranch dressing, unlike most other pizza places, and the ranch is awesome. –wings are pretty good. Spicy and kinda crispy. Not so great: — very oily pasta dish with pesto. I could see the pool of oil @ bottom of my dish. Also, a little on the bland side. — salmon on salmon salad(cajun) was extremely over-seasoned. It was very hard to eat. I douced it with lots of lemon juice to cut the saltiness and harsh seasonings and i managed to eat about half of it. The salad itself and the ranch dressing were delicious. -

Will definitely return to this place. Loved the small town feel of the place. The pizza was great. We got the meat combo and it was very good. Service was not only quick but very friendly. They have a very diverse menu with all kinds of comfort food to offer. Next time I go, I’ll try their wings and update the review. If they are anything like the pizza, it’s gonna rock!

Small pizza parlor on the west side of Montrose. Thanks to my softball team’s manager for this find(Thanks Fernando). We finally made it to Giuseppe’s after a few times of planning an after-game dinner visit. The pizza, pasta, sides/appetizers and service here is good. Hence the 5 stars. What put Guiseppe’s over the top is their special deal for big groups. Our whole softball team drove all the way from Pasadena after our game. The have a $ 10 per person(drinks and appetizers not included), AYCE pizza and pasta. Yes, your whole group will pay $ 10 for as many pizzas and pastas you want. You can even take home the pizza and pasta if you have leftovers, yes, $ 10 a person. They have big screen TV’s for your MNF game! Overall, we ordered the pizza and pasta deal and some of us ordered extra wings/cheese balls/salads. Everything was good! Definitely be back in the future for another softball team outing! Go Renegades! Credit cards accepted and plenty of street parking and a couple of free parking lots. The closing hours vary so check with the restaurant.
