I used Retrofoam about 10 years ago at my home and it went pretty well, good work and energy savings. I recommended them to my wife’s employer to do in his office to insulate between the exam rooms, looking for added privacy. Josh came out and did the estimate and gave several options of how to get the foam into the walls, the preferable one was to put it down from the top leaving the walls intact so as not to disrupt to office, so far so good. Installation day comes and the crew arrived, it quickly becomes apparent their only priority is getting in and out, so they pick the easiest for them, drilling 45 holes in the walls. They didn’t appear to have even looked at the estimate, there was no consideration for any other way than the fastest for them. After the foam is in the«patch» the holes. It’s a 2 inch hole that they made into a 6X6 inch blob of mud on the wall, Not really helpful. It would have been easier if they had just left the hole then I wouldn’t have had to scrape/sand each one down to flush before I could feather them out before repainting. Essentially recommending them cost me $ 1000, to repair the actions of their crew. I did the work for free because I was embarrassed by their work and my recommendation, a mistake I won’t make again! In their defense they offered to have someone come out and«address the walls,» a week later. This is a Dr’s office and it looked awful, that’s why there was so much emphasis at the time of the estimate. I spoke to Josh who tried to get some reconciliation but he was shut down by the owner who refused to provide any other option but wait the week and«see what they could do.» Decide for yourself, as for me, I’ll never use them again.
