Romola Mascarenhas, D.D.S.

Dr. Mascarenhas is the best dentist I have ever been to! I moved 50 miles away from her office but would never consider going anywhere else! Mothers know best and my mom has been coming here for as long as I can remember… She is always quick to explain to you all the ways and reasons to take care of your teeth… And she doesn’t judge you when you haven’t been flossing as you should. She really is great!!! You will love her!

We took our 3 year old to his first dental appointment with Dr. M this past weekend. I have to say we were quite apprehensive as to how this would go. Our little guy is open to new things, but if he doesn’t like something, he sure let’s us know! (as most of you with 3 year olds can attest to, I’m sure!) This was his first trip ever to the dentist, so we were nervous!
Well, I have to say that Dr. M blew us away! She was absolutely fantastic! She took lots of time and showed our son what each and every tool was used for before ever using them on his teeth. She explained everything from the mirror thing to the suction devices, let him try them so he wasn’t afraid, and demonstrated the scraping on his fingernails before ever even touching his teeth. As a result, our son not only was fully willing to let Dr. M work on his teeth (counting and cleaning them), but even told us that he had FUN at the dentist! Wow. To top it off, they gave him a little toy and a toothbrush for his bravery. The dental assistant was also very friendly and our son opened up to him right away too.
Highly recommended! We’ve already referred another family to Dr. M, and have made appointments for Mom and Dad too!

Dr. Mascarenhas was wonderful with my 5 year old and excellent with me, as well. Who would think that going to a dentist can be a pleasant experience. :) She does not rush through an appointment, is thorough, soft-​spoken and gentle. She did not push any unnecessary treatments or services on us like many dentists have done in the past and I’m so glad I found her.

I have had the pleasure of using the services Dr. Romola Mascarenhas for a number of years. She has been a mainstay in keeping my teeth healthy. Her explanations and treatment plans are easy to understand. She is perhaps the most gentle dentist I have ever known, and I’m a pretty squeamish guy. After years of working with Dr. M, we recently had a discussion of how my front teeth would benefit from new implants.
Her careful, methodical approach as well as her in-​depth knowledge, led to a successful outcome. Working with Dr. M’s oral surgeon, her superb attention to detail and step-​by-​step process gave me the best front teeth I ever had. There have been a number of dental professionals in my lifetime, but Dr. Mascarenhas is the only one to receive the title of my «painless dentist». I would recommend her to anyone.
