There’s a few consignment and thrift stores in town so compared to those I’d rate this more as a 3.5 but only because they are under new management and making an effort. A year or so ago this place was dreadful with disgruntled employees which you could feel the negativity as soon as you walked in, they also used to turn away donations. With the new faces, the place is better kept with a friendlier staff and they take donations out front and have help available if you need it. They have a decent turnaround of items so it’s worth checking back especially for furniture. Their prices are mostly fair though some are definitely overpriced, but to make up for that they do have color tag % discounts on certain days to save. I hope they can stay the course and keep up on maintenance and cleanliness so that it doesn’t slip back into the prior darkness. And for anyone making donations, please do your part and don’t donate broken/stained/smelly things as it only creates more work for them.

The manager does not seem to comprehend the meaning of «Thrift» prices are just way too high.

Had two truckloads of donations today… a nice guy helped us unload and handed us a receipt. Swift and friendly service, we backed right into the donation area, unloaded and were on our way. Probably typical of other donation centers, but it sure was nice to drive in, back in and unload quickly and we were even greeted with a smile. This Montrose location was quite busy and and a tremendous amount of donations. So nice to see!
