Simply yummy… had an amazing beet salad and delicious basket of fresh baked bread. Don’t miss this cute bistro!

Amazing food and service. I had the ciopinno and the beet salad and they both were very tasty and packed full of flavor. I come here for work and will definitely make a point to come back here the next time I am in town. Love love love.

While the food is good, it is a very poorly run restaurant I am sorry to say. We waited a full hour to receive our entrees! The server said they were out of arugula and they had to go buy some?? It was early in the evening and not even busy! Later, it did get busy and the server was the only person on the floor– waiting tables, pouring drinks, bussing, seating people… it was a joke. On a previous visit, the wine we ordered said $ 7 on the menu, but on the check it was $ 8. The server said the owner had changed the price on the computer but not on the menu. What kind of business does that? Not a business that will be in business very long I’m afraid.

First, truffle fries. Do it. Ok. Their food is pretty great. I’ve had my order lost in the shuffle not once, twice. The time my husband’s meal was brought out, but not mine with no mention of it, then was prepared AFTER I inquired so we got to eat at separate times and be late for our activity with no compensation was stressful. Another time my friend and I fortunately had no plans following dinner but it makes the evening drag a little awkwardly.

After relocating to Montrose from California, and formerly DC, I was on the hunt for a great go-to spot with fresh, local foods and great cocktails. I admit, I can be a bit of a food snob, so moving to Montrose was an adjustment for me, but The Bistro hits the mark! I love their kale or greek salad, pastas, and the truffle fries are delicious! Also a big fan of their sushi night on Thursdays. My boyfriend loves their Moscow Mules. The only reason I’m giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 is for the atmosphere and wine list. Would love to see a greater selection of high quality wines. The décor and ambience is a little haphazard, but the food and drinks are worth the trip.

This is the best restaurant in Montrose. I come here regularly and the food is insanely good(get the spaghetti al funghi!) and waitstaff friendly and prompt. Even better is the emphasis on local food. Ambience is very chill. A++, would recommend!

Thank you so much for delivering to me when nobody else would! I was stuck here due to my airline and got a random hotel close to the airport. Nothing delivered at 5:30p and this place did! Thank you, thank you! If you’re looking for food review, it’s about a 3.4…the arugula and Brie and tomato sandwich was decent. It tastes like it sounds, nothing too fancy. I was up sold on Truffle fries which are ok –novel for a place like this but not amazing if you’re from a big city and have tasted true, crispy, delicious parm truffle fries. The bistro is a good stop if you’re in Montrose. It’s about one of ten spots, so might as well try it.

I ate here two days ago and am happy to report the Kale salad with Chicken was outstanding. Had excellent flavor and the kale was perfect. I have eaten here a few times and I think inhale even given them a review. I do think this place gets better and better. I hope they continue to have new fresh menu items. They still need help in their décor but at least it’s clean!

Best sandwich in town! Stop in and ask for the Grinder. It’s awesome! An Italian style sandwich with choice of fries, salad or one of their home made soups. Also very friendly staff and comfortable hip atmosphere!

8 of us for lunch today at a nice round table. Great service and food. We had several variations of grilled cheese, soups, & salads. Gluten free selections but truffle fries not GF. Other reviews were very accurate. Try it!

We were on my way to visit my father in law for lunch. As a vegetarian it gets hard to eat meals with the family. So I called ahead for my order an took it to their house. I got the falafel gyro with the soup of the day(butternut squash). The gyro was so big I couldn’t finish it. The taste was great and the soup was even better.

This place is a gem! For being in the heart of downtown montrose I am super impressed. The salmon was excellently cooked, the soup of the day hot and delicious, the zucchini noodles great, and all the sides tasty and healthy. They have wonderful service and a great selection of dishes. The environment and location is nice. I highly recommend!

Delicious. The half portion pasta entrée was the perfect size to allow me to sample the Roasted Red Pepper soup and the Crème Brule. All three were excellent and I will be back to try the other appetizing looking entrées soon.

We randomly checked Unilocal for a place to eat lunch and couldn’t have been happier with the result. The brie, apple and pancetta grilled cheese was hands down the best I’ve ever had. My boyfriend had the burger and it was a little overcooked but still very enjoyable. I would say always get the special fries since they are also amazing. The only thing lacking really was the decore of the restaurant, just didn’t really seem decorated for a meditoranian style at all and I felt like something pretty to look at would have be nice.

Fanfreakingtasically Awesome! I’ve been many times now. I love the fresh food here that’s cooked with love. I’ve had the chance to try several thing and one of the greatest points is the consistency of yummy! That’s very important to me. The grinder is an easy favorite one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The falafel plate was amazing full of flavor, balanced and filling. I’ve had several of the soup of the days all were full of flavor. All around the service, atmosphere, and food are top shelf. The chef is regularly there to chat with his patrons it’s a nice touch. Also I can bring my vegan friends with me since they have several vegan options… I can’t tell you how nice it is to have that option. This is a true gem of Montrose.

A unique experience in Montrose, fresh, local food with an ever shifting menu that embraces the wild variety of produce and products of the Western slope. The recipes are simple, but made daily from scratch. Nothing frozen, poured from a laser printed bag into a senseless robot that warms a sauce of a highly engineered unknown and scientific origin. It is eggs, and tomatoes, and greens, and beef, and all the things we can see and recognize grown by the people we know cooked with care. It is food, real food.
