Our party of three were the only ones in the place after 1 today. It was my first time there, but one of the others had been there before. The Unilocal reviews were generally good and the menu looked appealing. The wait staff out numbered the patrons and the initial service was not the problem. After we ordered it seemed like our food, three sandwiches, took rather a long time to come. Eventually I saw what had to be our plates sitting on the counter at the kitchen. Three staff, two males and a hefty female with glasses stood there talking. I couldn’t believe my eyes when the female grabbed some sweet potato fries off what had to be my plate and ate them! Sure enough, the plates eventually made it to our table with my stone cold fries and congealed grilled cheese. I was an idiot not to complain but I didn’t. No wonder there was no one in the place. I am such a wimp, I even left a tip. Don’t let this happen to you, please!

I give this restaurant 5 stars all around! From the moment you walk in, you are treated like family. Clean, open floor plan. Great ambiance, potent cocktails, delicious food & great service. The chef, Tiffany, makes the best crab cakes… I crave them!

This was my first time to the area of Montrose. It’s so quaint and such a nice area to walk around. I hope all of the shopping I did burned off all the calories I ate at Town. Each one was worth it, I can tell you that! We sat it the front, looking into the restaurant with a nice view of the street. A perfect spot for people watching. We started off with the Brussels Sprouts. I can’t say I have ever been a fan of them, but had it on good authority that those were the thing to order and they were right. They are a tad tangy, but mildly, crunchy, all the while melting in your mouth. Yum. I also had a Cesar salad and crab cakes… both were fresh and tasty and the service was impeccable. We aren’t drinkers, but they had a lot of fun sounding cocktails to try. To finish off our meal, we had the crème brûlée. We will definitely be coming back!

This restaurant was nice. It does get very crowded on the weekends, though. Beware. I ordered their margherita pizza which was fantastic. Montrose really needs to open more restaurants similar to this one. They have a diverse menu and the dishes are all pretty good.

The lamb chops were amazing! Executive chef Tiffany DeLeon visited our table a few times to ensure our dinner was to our liking. Risotto melted in our mouth. Short ribs were so tender, no knife needed! Words can not describe the chocolate peanut butter cheesecake! Cody gave us the best service! Can’t wait to go back.

My first experience was so bad … But they made up for it the second time around. I first went when they first opened and I don’t think they were ready to start up. But now I think they are a bit more established and the service is pretty good. The food was tasty but don’t go here if u are more about quantity than quality.

My husband and I had an amazing time from start to finish. We stumbled across The Town earlier in the afternoon and were greeted by Chef Tiffany who passionately described their menu to us. We decided to come back for dinner, hitting happy hour(there is a small up charge for their happy hour martini’s, but they were up front about that, which was nice). We met the chef, the owner and then our server, all of which made it clear that they were happy to see new faces and made sure our night out was well tended to! Everything we ordered for dinner was outstanding(and the pumpkin cheesecake was a wonderful treat). We cannot wait to come back again. Thank you to everyone at The Town for helping us create such a memorable night! We will be back sooner than later!

The food was great, service was a hit or miss. I’ve had Town’s food three times(take-out twice and dine-in once). Unfortunately, my take-out experience was a lot better since the service was a major miss when I dined in. Some dishes I remember — Brussel Sprouts as appetizers were very flavorful, flatbread was just okay. I think their Salmon pasta is their best entrée, their burger was juicy and fries were crunchy, their tuna crunchy rice was delicious. Enough about the food, the food was undeniably good. I just can’t get over how disappointed I was when I dined in. I made reservations for my dad’s birthday dinner. The hostess made sure TWICE(once over the phone and once when I checked in) that it was his birthday. they acknowledged it. However, nothing was communicated to our subpar server. Let’s get to the server… the server was friendly, but that was about it. He ignored us when we were trying to catch his attention to take our orders, he did not bring out the appetizers(not even bread) before our entrees, and by the time we caught his attention when he was busy talking to the hostess up front, he made sure to point out Happy Hour was over by a few minutes when he could have ordered sooner. I had to hunt down another server to get us serving plates and bread baskets when other tables around us were well-served. He was so busy to get us out of there. he acted swiftly when it was time for us to pay. He didn’t even acknowledge my dad’s birthday. We ended up skipping on dessert because I was so fed up with this guy. I’m doubtful I’ll return even though the food was good. Good service is a huge factor in dining experiences… I hate to give them two stars, but I left really disappointed and my parents and I didn’t want to damper his birthday dinner, so we left without looking back.

We came for dessert and left satisfied. We had the chocolate mousse and the pumpkin cheesecake(this is made in house). Personally I thought the cheesecake was superior with the creaminess and butteriness of the crust. The chocolate mousse was OK but a little heavy. Will definitely come back for dinner!

Thank you Corey and Town staff for organizing a fun dinner for our boys for their homecoming! The service was wonderful and the food was excellent! Your custom menu made it easy for all of us. We had a blast! Thanks again!

We pretty much had the best waiter! His name is Christopher! So attentive, personable and responsive to our entertainment! Thanks Christopher for be so nice and giving us GREAT service! You rock! On to the food: We had a Margarita pizza and Penne pastas. All came out timely and tasted delicious! Highly recommended! :) Real nice having it outside in Montrose. Two thumbs up!

What I like about this place: Excellent service — friendly and attentive staff, great location and there is something on the menu for everyone. I wasn’t blown away by the food but I wouldn’t rule it out completely. If I could change one thing, it would be to add more outdoor seating. My fiancé and I came here for dinner on a warm summer night and would have loved to sit outside but there were only two(tiny) tables and both were taken. When you enter, there is a rather large area that could be space for more patio seating. In my opinion, its such a shame to waste that space. With that being said, the lack of outdoor patio space was NOT factored into my 3 star rating, since that could be of no fault of the restaurant itself.

This place has the best bar in the area by far. Basin has great beer but if you want a cocktail this is the place to go. I’ve come here several times and never ordered the same thing off the food menu. I’ve tried a few of the fish specials. The swordfish with red pepper purée was great. The sea bass was off. The bar outshines the kitchen here. Michael is a fantastic bartender and a pleasure. If the kitchen could match the bar this place would be packed everyday

Good food and great service. The owner goes around the table and greets everyone. We’ve been here a couple of times for dinner and drinks. This is probably my favorite restaurant in Montrose. Try the town burger it’s amazing!

Cool spot on Honolulu for a light meal. I came in for lunch and had the spinach salad with chicken. My brother ordered the sausage pizza. Both meals were nice but were not anything to get excited over. While we waited for our food we ordered an Old Fashioned and a gin cocktail which were pretty good. The service was also quick and pleasant. Overall, this is a decent place to have lunch or drinks in the Montrose/La Crescenta area.

Yum! I tried this restaurant for the first time even though I am always around Montrose. I had the salmon on baked potatoes for lunch and it was divine! Seasoned amazingly to make your tastebuds dance with silly joy. The atmosphere is nice and allows you to chat over a delicious meal.

Not that impressed. I was excited to try this place, but I found that the food here is good, but not great. It’s never a good sign when you are craving other food while you are already eating. That is exactly what happened to me. I was craving Bestia(BEST Italian restaurant btw) while I was eating at Town. We ordered brussles sprouts because it’s apparently amazing here, but I was underwhelmed. Do people in the Montrose community enjoy BURNT food? Because let me tell you, every piece of brussels sprout was blackened all around the edge. Why?! No like. We also had two of their pastas. It’s the kind of pastas that would be served at a typical Vegas buffet — good enough but tastes mass produced. If I’m going to be paying double digits for my pasta, I want thoughtful merriment of flavors. :( Sorry Unilocal friends, I am picky with my Italian food. Once you have the best(hi BESTIA!!!), everything else just can’t compare. It’s like comparing a Toyota to a Tesla. Ambience is nice though! Great for date night mood. Wine menu is great. Service is amazing. Also, there’s free and plentiful parking in the back lot and street.

Came here for lunch with my co worker. The service here is excellent. Ordered the Clam Chowder and a wedge salad with Salmon. Although the clam chowder was a little salty for my taste, and the wedge salad was missing a little love on the bacon bits.. Met the owner who asked us for some feedback, which we gave.. He graciously gave us 50% off our bill. I know this restaurant is fairly new and I appreciated the excellent service. Will definitely be back.. For dinner next time :]

RSVP’d a day before for 10 people. When we got there, our table was ready and we were seated right away! As we seat manager came around and greeted us and made sure we were happy with our seats. Server came right away and gave us waters. Over all… Food was great. We ordered one of each pasta almost and two pizzas and really all of them were just great. Service was beyond great. A waiter or server was close to us all the time making sure we had our drinks full. Drinks great. Dessert was amazing! Great for large groups. As we were leaving, we meet the owners and they are amazing. Locals and sweet hearts. We will be back soon.
