Great family restaurant. Their calzones are awesome! The best appetizers are the pepperoni chips! Yummy! Our family loves Carpenitti’s. The stuffed pizza is one of my husbands favorites. We haven’t had anything we don’t like.

I was in town for work and had a hankering for good pizza. I got on Unilocal and found Capenetti’s. What a great place to eat. I had the mozzarella cheese bread and pepperoni and mushroom pizza. It was AWESOME!

Frank and his staff are extremely friendly. You never have to wait long for a refill. The chicken roll is to die for. I love eating there and will always eat there at least twice a month. Keep it up frank!

If you like NY or NJ type pizza this is the place. Best pizza around hands down. Being from Phila myself I crave that style of pizza. No where else around has that true style of pizza but here.

Best Italian food (most authentic) in Central Alabama. If you are looking for REAL Italian cuisine AND pizza, this is the place you want to go. ALL fresh ingredients ALL the time. Run by a true Italian Family. Great food and reasonable prices. The cannolli’s are the BOMB! We live in Jacksonville so mostly eat at the Saks location, but when we go to Birmingham, we stop in Moody for lunch or dinner. I lived in NY for 8 years and know great Italian food! We love this place. 5 stars all the way.

Sally and I stopped in for lunch today and ordered a personal (about 10 inch) pepperoni pizza and a lasagne dinner. The pizza was very good and could be great if they had cooked it a bit longer; I should have requested «well done.» Nice chewy crust and the actual pepperoni, although only about 1.5 rounds per slice, were meat and porky. The whole pie was a bit greasy but it was a lot better than I had expected for a Mom and Pop style pizzeria in Moody. I only had one bite of the lasagna but Sally loved it. We will be back if in the area again.

Fav pizza place in the Bham metro area. Big slices and. friendly faces! Never go without trying the antipasto salad with house dressing, THE best.

Always delish! My honey and I ate here on our first date, so it will always hold a special place in my heart.
The atmosphere is very comfortable. It is mostly locals, so be sure to take any guests you have to eat here for a treat!
The pizzas are phenomenal (and HUGE!) but the calzones and strombolis are my fave.
Also, Be sure to check the hours before you go. Being a smaller establishment, it is not always open, which adds to it exclusive charm.

For a good New York style pizza this is a great place to go. A family run business, Carpenetti’s has been a haunt for many that work or live in the area. The calzones are good, as well as my personal favorite, the peperoni roll with a side of ranch dressing. Don’t let the area fool you, you can still find a good New York style pizza pie deep in the heartland of Alabama at Carpenetti’s.
