My husband and I chose Metro Flooring to do tile in our kitchen and dining room after my husband’s parents had a good experience with them doing laminate in their kitchen. We chose a wood-look tile and wanted a seamless look. Bill, our salesman, came to our house for the tile selection but didn’t bring grout colors. He said his assistant Teresa would e-mail them, which never happened, so I went back into the store to choose a color. Bill brought out a gray grout, which he said Teresa had picked for us but then corrected himself and said that was what was chosen for another customer who had picked the same tile. He then helped me find a chocolate brown that matched the tile really well. After the grout began to dry, we realized it was a dark gray. My husband spoke with Bill, who said that was the color I chose with Teresa(who I had not spoken to other than a greeting the first time we went in). It was obvious at this point, I had been mistaken twice for another customer. If Metro had owned up to their mistake at this point and initiated the effort to fix it, we’d be understanding. However, we were treated rudely by Teresa in choosing a grout colorant to fix the mistake, as if it were our fault. Our experience with Metro Flooring is that communication and organization are not their strong points, not to mention being forthcoming when mistakes are made.
